Very impressed with Jonathan and his guys. Knowledgeable, respectful, honest, clean, professional, great communication, etc - all that without the overinflated pricing of the bigger companies. Had a complete system replaced by them in March - their workmanship and cleanliness is top-notch. You will not be disappointed with these guys.

I'm so glad I was referred to this company! My AC stopped cooling my house, and I called another company first who tried to take complete advantage. The first company (quality control air) said the blower was broken and I could replace it with no warranty for $2400 or get a new system with 10 yr warranty for $6500. I wanted to get another opinion, and what JC told me was completely different and cost me less than $700. Basically the other company outright lied to me. Once JC did the repair, my system was up and running just fine (actually better than it used to).
It's sad to think companies would try to take advantage of people in this way, but at least you can trust that JC's business is honest, and he's giving you the best advice. They were also very friendly, on time, and easy to get communicate with. I'll be sticking with him in the future, and will definitely be recommending him to others!

Awesome company! He came out right away (at midnight!) to get a bad clog out that I couldn't shop vac out myself. Super nice guy who went out of his way to make you feel good about calling them (unlike some other companies that make you feel like you wish you hadn't called them after they get there). Thank you again and you are definitely my go-to A/C guy from now on!

Jonathan is fabulous. He is knowledgeable, dependable and friendly. I have recommended to friends and they are all 100% happy with him. We left him work on our home even when we are not there.....that speaks volumes!

We had Jonathan over a regular a/c maintenance today. Because of a communication problem, we had to reschedule our appointment first time around. He called ahead and gave me eta and was on time.

He was effecient and thourough with the maintenance job. We had had other workers from a larger company doing the similar job for some years. But he really cleaned and removed debris around the unit. At the end, he explained what he did and answered all my questions.

He was very courteous and stressed how important it was to keep doing a quality work and keep his work reputation in excellent state. I did not care how the previous technicians showing rather aggressive sales tactics. I am one of new customers for the Cooling Company who appreciates Jonathan's honest and straight approach!! I highly recommend the Cooling Company!

Went to the beach last week and came home to find that our A/C unit was off on a hot day. Called our landlord and guessed it would be a couple of days before it could be fixed. However, Jonathon Christian, the owner, of The Cooling Company of SW FL was out shortly after 5 p.m. and had it fixed in less than five minutes (a wire had corroded and caused the fan to stop running on the compressor motor). Jonathon put his gauges on and checked everything out and waited until it was cooling again. He said we could set the thermostat on anything we wanted, since it was working fine. Jonathon was right and it’s working great several days later now. I highly recommend this company, since it’s so hard to find someone who is honest, professional, dedicated, reliable/dependable, affordable, and fast. Please give him a try, since you won’t be disappointed.

This review is the result of a business taking care of their customers. I have no idea how I originally found Jonathon and his team, but he is a gem to Sarasota. I am not a true local and finding honest, trustworthy companies can be tough. Especially with few connections to guide me in the right direction. The first time Jonathon came to my shop, his intent was very clear. I have always enjoyed the limitless time Jonathon commits to fixing my a/c issues. This is a family man who runs a fair and honest business. His prices are extremely fair and his willingness to go the extra mile are unsurpassable. Thank you Jonathon and team!

You couldn’t ask for a more responsive reliable company for AC. Our AC went out between hurricanes and they responded quickly to get it working. We knew it was going to need to be replaced and they got us a new unit and it is so much better than we had. Absolutely the best.

The Cooling Company stands by their work. Jonathon 's ability to diagnose a problem is impressive. He and his employees Jason and Brian repaired, reprogrammed and tested our HVAC system. They stayed until the job was done right. Melissa was so pleasant when she scheduled our service calls. Our system works perfectly now. I appreciate the integrity and expertise of this family owned business.

Jonathan, the owner and his crew did an excellent job for us on totally new duct work last week for our HVAC system. Jonathan was on-site both days from morning to finish. They cleaned up each day too. The garage floor was actually cleaner when they left than when they arrived.

Inside, Jordan did a great job with taping, removing, and cleaning all of the many vents. That step was very important to keep dust and debris out of our house. We were surprised by how professional and respectful they all were both days. There was also no profanity, or smoking either which was nice.

We just bought the house and all of the issues/holes with the duct work were missed during the inspection, so it was a real shock, but it was just worn out when we saw the photos. For reference, another company quoted $4,000 more for the exact same job, so we appreciated how honest Jonathan is about his work and estimates.

Of course, we added the annual maintenance plan now that he has us in great shape again.

I believe that they only do entire ductwork jobs Jan-Mar because of the extreme Florida heat, which is very strategic and smart. It’s really nice for his techs too.

I got to know Jonathan a little better during this job. He’s been in the business over 20 years. Parker has been with him for a few years. Melissa, his wife runs the office. Ask him about their 5-year old twin boys. He sounds like a real family guy to me and it’s definitely a great small family-owned business of six.

Jonathan also recommended more insulation in the attic to reduce annual cooling costs and a very cost-effective semiconductor dehumidifier versus the traditional compressor type that we can use during high humidity times. It works much better than Damp-Rid, so another plus.

Overall, we are very happy with the quality of the work and I highly recommend

My air conditioner went out at 4:30am on a Sunday morning. Jonathan answered when I called to schedule an appointment. Honestly, I couldn’t believe I didn’t get an answering machine. He was very polite and was at my house by 7:00am. He is very knowledgeable, checked my warranty (30 seconds), let me know exactly what he was doing and completed the job before my kids woke up. I’ve had my air conditioner worked on in the past… never on a Sunday. The service, quality and price was better than the others and guaranteed for a year. Read all the reviews for yourself. Fantastic job replacing our AC unit in our SK home. We received quotes from several companies and decided that the Cooling Co was the best fit for us. I’m so grateful for the honest second opinion! The first HVAC company that came out told me I needed an entirely new unit, which was a huge and unexpected expense. Thankfully, Jordan came out and took the time to thoroughly inspect everything, and found that it only needed a minor repair. He fixed it quickly, and my AC has been working perfectly.
