I’ve been with Sean McCutcheon’s Air Conditioning and Heating since I purchased my home 3 years ago. They installed the initial system that was here and I’ve continued maintenance with them. Zach Gibson does an excellent job. . He always calls in advance to let us know that he’s on the way. He is very professional and friendly. I am far from being an expert and he explains everything to me and answers all of my questions.
I have always had a good experience with Sean McCutcheon’s, and highly recommend them.

Disapponted. This company was reliable and we trusted them for years, but lately they seem to charge more and more. We are no longer trust what they recommend upon checking our AC system.
After receiving the response:
Thank you for your reply. We are aware of that the cost of living expenses increased, and never questioned if the technician were on commission. We felt like giving us an option to put a temporary part in for about $800 labor fee to keep the AC running, while waiting for the part needed to fix our system (system was still under warranty) was outrageous and also being charged for installation / when the part was received. And not to mention the fees just to come 2 times to the house...

I am genuinely shocked and suspicious of the organic nature of reviews on here. Just terrible customer service. We have a thermostat/unit that is under warranty that is supposed to be replaced. We have received no communication about when this will be fixed in the middle of summer. And the only information I can get from them is " it will be here when it is here". Avoid!!!! - Sean, since I cant reply to your incorrect post I will do it here. I will assume that you are ill informed. What you discribed is not what happened. I was told repeatedly by the lady who answered that she didnt have access to the information the service department had and therefore didnt know if there was a due date or not. I WAS NOT told that the mfg doesnt give delivery dates, I was told only the service department had that information one way or another. I then REPEATEDLY asked the service department to contact me to tell me IF a delivery date was available - and never got a response. I did finally get a call yesterday that they now have an expected delivery date - so thank you for the call. All I wanted to do was get some visibility one way or another. I never recieved that.

We've been customers of Sean McCutcheon's for over 30 years. Best service every time. Luiz our tech for service today, was very professional, courteous & respectful of our property. We will always refer friends & family to Sean McCutcheon's.

Zach was very thorough while doing our semiannual maintenance for the summer. He explained what he was doing and why which I appreciate. He indicated that our system has aged as it is 12 years old and now is just adequate. He answered our questions thoroughly. He did not try to sell us anything which out previous company did every time they came. I definitely recommend Sean McCutcheon's for your service needs.

Jordan was great. He was polite and focused. He found the problem within 5 minutes and fixed it. The price for a service call two days after hurricane Irma was very reasonable. I'd call these folks again and recommend them to anybody who might ask. Well done!

Really exceptional service! I am a remote owner. We live in my wife's country and keep a place in Sarasota. So it's a challenge when you have a week of vacation and you need to do an HVAC replacement. Sean McCutcheon's was so responsive - great communication, very clear, really professional and offered options that were available now in this environment of supply chain issues. Pricing was good, more great communication and we had an install in the same week. Prior to McCutcheon's I contacted two other companies. One never called back and another did an evaluation and never followed through with a proposal, so I was super happy with Sean McCutcheon's service.

This was the greatest experience I've had with an AC company since I moved to FL in 2004. The quote and contract was fair, detailed and executed perfectly. It was a genuine pleasure to deal with Greg for the purchase. Phuoc Le and Jake, who installed the system were polite, skilled and respectful of my home. All went as planned and entirely seamless. I highly recommend Sean McCutcheon's.

It is amazing the quality of technicians that Sean McCutcheon employs. We have been doing business with the, for about five years now, and each tech who visits our home is professional, efficient, personable and knowledgeable. David came last week to perform routine maintenance and he was wonderful - got in, got the work done and left. That’s my idea of a perfect tech! I enjoy doing business with this company because I know they will always be available if I need them.

David was professional and efficient. The office was accommodating to my busy schedule and easy to communicate with via multiple sources. I have been using this company since purchasing my home five years ago and I have been extremely satisfied with their services.

Outstanding service. Diagnosed the problem (bad capacitor) and repaired it for a good price. They didn’t attempt to upsell or pressure us into unnecessary equipment or services, unlike the previous company we called, who told us we needed a new system at $15K.

This was the most professional and best installation that I have even experienced. The technicians were knowledgeable and understanding of my babysitting an 8 month old granddaughter. She was never a problem. The dog however had to be the boss and I wasn’t having it. The guys working were very understanding and we worked through it. I am very happy with everything that was done

My husband & I highly recommend Lindsey! Be sure to ask for her. You will not be disappointed! She is a very hard worker, honest, knowledgeable and will not try to over sell you just to make money. She is also patient and will answer as many questions as you ask. She was always glad to help us in any way she could and answer all of our questions before purchasing our AC. She is also awesome when it comes to details. I loved that about her! Our a/c techs were Troy Rubright and Jake. Both techs are hard workers, friendly and did an excellent job! They went above and beyond to get everything running smoothly and set up perfectly! We very much appreciate them both. Also, the company’s website says “If we wouldn't recommend it to our own mothers, we would not recommend it to you!” They definitely stand true to this. They really want what’s best for the customer and their home. An honest, hard working company is a rarity in this day and time. You will not be disappointed with Sean McCutcheon’s Air conditioning and heating Inc.! We highly recommend them!

We needed a new system last year and we were very impressed with the technicians that completed the installation.
Our second free maintenance service today, was performed by Lorren McCutcheon, it was thourough and she took time to explain and be very informative. We recommend this company.

Very professional, knowledgeable, and was very helpful in explaining service process. Definitely recommend to others! Joshua was friendly and super informative. He did a great job handling the unit maintenance, and went out of his way to educate me on a couple things to ensure proper running and maintenance of the hvac system. Ive always had a good experience with all the techs!

Lorren McCutcheon was my tech for the second time and she’s great!! Very personable, professional, and knowledgeable!! Great asset for a great company!!

Not the company I thought they were. After they installed a new system it was determined there was a leak somewhere in the refrigerant line while it was under full warranty. Tech came out and said he couldn't find the leak, that it must be my line set and I would need a new line set. I had to call the company and spoke to a salesman to ask if tech didn't know where the leak was, how did he know it was in my line set? Salesman was adamant that it was my line set ($3-5k my responsibility) even though there was no evidence of this. I was not satisfied so I was passed on to his manager. Manager agreed to have a leak test (which the tech should have done the first time out) and if I was wrong it would be out of my pocket. Another tech came out and I showed him where the leak was - at the solder joint where they connected the new condensing unit to my line set. Completely their responsibility. Tech fixed. They didn't call to follow up, I had to call and just got excuses for bad service. It bothers me because the layperson would have been out $3-5k in this situation after spending $8-10k on new system for no reason.

I called about a potential maintenance contract on a 2 yr old HVAC unit with no known issus. McCutcheon's wants $225 to inspect and qualify the unit. That's it, take it or leave it. I left it. Why don't they offer to credit most of that to the first year's contract IF the unit is found to be fully operational? This isn't reasonable and smacks of an arrogant attitude I'll choose to do without. No thanks, Sean.

As a followup to your lengthy response, Sean, my one star rating reflected your $225 inspection policy. Of course I did not schedule a call to experience your services. I objected to the upfront cost to inspect. I don't argue with your need to inspect, but you should offer a credit towards the maintenance contract IF you inspect and find nothing wrong. Otherwise the customer would pay $225 and then enter into a maintenance contract having the $225 be a sunk cost. Too rich for this retiree's blood. If other consumers think that's a good value, more power to them.

We had a competitor of yours come out on Friday, charged $125 for a six month contract, performed cleaing and maintenance on my inside and outside units, and found no issues in my less than 2 year old system.

Christian was very professional, friendly, on-time. He is a very good representative of Sean McCutcheon's Air Conditioning and Heating. I would like to have him back here when we need his services again. The SMAC team came as promised, notified us that they were on the way and in the e-mail sent to us had the tech credentials listed as well as when their last background check was. When they arrived, they identified themselves, as set out to do the work. The completed the task in a very timely manner and the report supplied a day later was accurate and helpful. Keep up the great work!

Daniel was very professional and courteous. He explained some things to me that will help my system run even better. My appointment was originally scheduled for late November, but I requested an earlier appointment if there was a cancellation. They were able to move my appointment to October. I am impressed with the communication process from Sean McCutcheon's team.

Service of an under warranty HVAC installed by the company highlighted a refrigerant leak following a service call. A follow up visit by a technician failed to detect the leak. More visits required to detect the refrigerant leak whilst, the home, air conditioning unit fails to function properly making life uncomfortable due to the heat. Poor quality service and NOT impressed.
