I needed to replace a 13 year old system and decided to have Tropic Air do the job seeing as they have been doing my twice a year maintenance on my old system. Mason & Garcia did a fantastic installation and were great workers along with being super friendly!!! I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a new system installation. The city of Bradenton did my final inspection and commented on how clean the installation looked compared to other jobs they looked at earlier that day. We're very happy we chose Tropic Air!!!

Our air conditioning system lost cooling ability. We called the office and got the call center. They contacted Joey Harris and within a half hour he was at our house!! He was very nice, efficient and professional. The entire system was installed in December 2024 for $8,000. I wasn't happy about needing service already. He agreed. He found a few coolant leaks right away and was surprised that a new unit leaked so soon. Also, there was a $180-something charge for warranty processing which I challenged. He said he'd try to get that "taken care of".

We have used Tropic Air for 4 yrs now. We a very satisfied. They are honest. We do an ever 6 mo check up program.. All the techs have been informative and helpful. Might be a lil pushy on selling other services. But that's their job.

I update reviews when warranted and change stars (in this case, 2 stars to 4) if applicable. I decided to update my review based on my interactions with Donna, the office manager. She reached out to me after my initial review, and we talked about my situation and after she spoke with her boss they did offer another year of maintenance free of charge. I instead asked if that amount could be put towards the UV system that I was already going to purchase and they agreed. Since my last review, the UV light was purchased and installed. Donna has been a breath of fresh air and truly went above and beyond to communicate with me.

I have been a customer for a few years and have become more and more disappointed. I have the maintenance plan so they come out every 6 months or so. December 8th was my last appointment, and both of my units were running fine. Kyle, the technician came, asked if there were any concerns or clogs and we said no. He did his thing that day, and made recommendations and left. By Friday, December 12th, all of a sudden there was a clog and my unit stopped coming on because of it. We tried the shop vac a few times but the problem remained. While doing that, I noticed the pipe inside was leaking in a spot. I called the after hours and told them the issue and we decided to wait until Monday. The called Monday the 15th, I explained everything and reminded them there was NO ISSUE before the maintenance was done. Kyle came back out that Monday and informed me that I had a bad clog and he would need to do a chemical flush to it at a cost. I mentioned the leak, he said it was probably just from the clog. After a couple of hours, he informed me that it was so so so clogged. He had to do the chemical flush 3-4 times and that it is possible for that to absolutely happen in just a few day and it was nothing they did wrong. I’m not an expert but that seems highly unlikely. He did say that the pipe was indeed cracked so he cut that and fixed it. I was charged over $400 a week after my “maintenance” was done. He assured me he made sure there were no clogs the first time he came. The picture attached is the mess left behind, I assume chemical stuff that spilled. I am very disappointed. I still have a couple of visit left on my contract but if I can get out of it, I think I will.

TA was very responsitive to my needs on the coldest days of the year. Joe, service man, did a thorough examination of the unit. He gave me detailed information in order to make an informed decision. He promptly went to work to get things taken care of. He was honest, open, & showed an interest in his willingness to work with me.
I appreciate his responsivness and professionalism.

TropicAir has provided excellent service to maintain the HVAC system at our condo in Holmes Beach during the past year. In addition to efficiently servicing our air conditioner and heating system, installation of an air scrubber has improved air quality following duct cleaning and installation of new vents. Fernando has provided conscientious and personal service, and excellent recommendations for keeping our HVAC system in good working order. Donna and Kimberley have also been helpful in scheduling regular service appointments.

Joey and his team are the best!!! I got screwed over by a guy with Discount Air. When I move in to the house in 2020 I bought an entire new AC system with 10 year warranty. Few months after the install the inside coils leaked. Discount Air said it wasn’t covered under warranty and had me pay almost two grand to solder it so I did . A few months ago the compressor failed. I had someone else other than discount replace it. But then it leaked again. The time to install as well as the visual attention to detail and aesthetic appearance is incredible. Definitely go with Tropic-Air Conditioning!!!

Xavier from Reliance Air is awesome. He's been out twice now and each time he's been super punctual and professional. He's caught issues that other big companies around town have completely missed over the years. Couldn't be happier with the service, glad to have finally found a great team to work on our home. Highly recommended!

Xavier is the best! My AC wasn’t working and it was late at night I called so many companies and he’s the ONLY one that responded and came and got us situated in no time! Such a great person, professional, friendly, quick, and went out of his way to make sure my family was back in a cool home. Definitely recommend 10/10 for any of your home needs. After installing a new AC unit, Reliance scheduled a mandatory inspection of the unit with the county. I took off work to be home all day for the inspector to come. He failed the inspection. I then had to have Reliance come back out and fix the mistakes. Reliance told me they scheduled another inspection, which I then had to request off work again for. After waiting all day for the inspector to show up, I called the county only to be informed that no inspection was ever scheduled. My AC unit was installed over two months ago and I am still dealing with this process.

Reliance Air did an annual maintenance. They did a great job for us and Xavier is So Nice. We really appreciate your kindness and the good job you did. Thank You. :)

As ALWAYS service was PROMPT and efficient. The staff are always knowledgeable and kind. They take a stressful situation and make it so much better. Would recommend them above all others. I cannot say how often they have impressed me... The entire team from setting up appts to the actual service are amazing!!!

Beyond satisfied with this company ! I called and he was there on a weekend right after a hurricane within hours ! Thế service is ok. But the quality is so bad. It’s the brand new 9000$ system and it keep getting same leaking issue. I have been laid. Almost 1000 for services. And still not yet fixed. Horrible product. But good service. Wish the product could be better quality
