They do good work, but you need to watch the time - they charge per hour. The last time they were out the guy finished the work at about the 50 minute mark and then hung out for another 15 minutes or so to log that second hour. Didn't appreciate that but whatever.

Walsh Electrical responded quickly to my electrical problem and replaced the fan in my bathroom the same day I called. From Lester at the office to Tommy and his team at my home, they were professional and knowledgeable at a fair price. Highly recommend!

Floridian Electric saved the day!

Dishonest and liars. Mathers put my mother’s Generac Generator, It keeps shutting down and doesn’t supply power to the house. Once they got her money they have done nothing to make her generator work like it should. It’s a damn shame they would cheat my elderly mother. They say they are going to come out to look at it but have never come by.

Their employees are professionals who know their craft! They remedied all our electrical issues and everything is functioning perfectly! They are honest people; and their prices are pretty reasonable. Keep up the great work that you do in our community!

We finally decided to install an 8.5 KW grid-tied solar electric system on our workshop. After getting some quotes around town and online vendor/DIY websites, we chose Mathers Electric Co (MEC) to do the job. All aspects were handled professionally - from the design and quote process, to the actual installation. I'm a bit of a technology geek, so had lots of questions. Mike at MEC worked with me on the solar equipment choices (there are many different options!) and worked diligently to oversee the installation and make it was done right and on budget. He also made sure to keep me up to date on the progress and inform me whenever weather was going to keep crews off the site on any given day. And speaking of the crews... they were also a pleasure - on time, always friendly, and they made time to talk and answer any of my questions as the work progressed. The system looks and works great - I highly recommend them!

I would leave zero stars if I could. I called this company to schedule an estimate appointment to wire a window frame for an electric-powered shade. The window is at the top of a 22 ft wall and would need to be accessed through the attic. A guy named Chris came out and looked at it, said he would get back with us and give us the estimate. We’ve been waiting on this so that the window treatment company we are ordering the shade through can order the correct motor that will work with the electrical wiring and place the order. After hearing nothing, the window treatment company tried contacting them and was getting no response. After waiting patiently for this estimate, I called to see if it was ready, only to be told that mathers was “declining the work” and that they “sent [me] an email” about it. I have no emails from this company or any other attempted communication (calls, voicemails, etc) to let me know they were choosing not to take the job. Had I not called I would have never known and would have been waiting in good faith on them to give me the estimate. I am so disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which this company operates. Now we’re back to square one on our issue. I would suggest finding someone else for electrical work.

I called them on May 5th about a Generator issue and Peter answered the phone, he was very helpful and courteous, said he could send someone out right away even though it was almost after hours. I told him that the following morning would be ok. The following morning bright and early their service tech John showed up and solved all my issues very quickly. John changed a warranty part and explained to me why the issue existed and gave me some maintenance tips. They are my "go to" electricians from here on and I highly recommend them.

I called Mather's Electric on 10/25 @ 7:50am to have our generator serviced. Lady took my information and even emailed me service contract information. She said someone in scheduling would call me back to get the service scheduled. I called back on 10/25 @ 3pm when I had not received a call from scheduling department. Same lady said that I would receive call either that afternoon or the next morning. I NEVER heard from ANYONE.
I called another local company on 10/26 who promptly had me scheduled and we had a Generac trained tech at our house on the 30th.
I understood that after hurricane Michael all of the electric companies would be busy but to never receive a call after more than 2 weeks is just not acceptable customer service.

Mike Mathers, thank you for answering the ph May 16th at 6:35 a.m. before you were open. Peter, thank you for getting my power back on by the end of that day! For the 2 young men that came to my home & a follow up visit later. They were very polite, thorough & considerate to the homeoowner's needs & property.

I purchased a whole house generator through Lowe's in Tallahassee. Mather's Electric was the Lowe's contractor assigned to install it. I believe they install for Home Depot as well. Each and every staff person I worked with went beyond the call of duty in keeping me informed, showing up when they said they would, doing what they said they would do and navigating and coming back several times due to the poor performance, scheduling and delivery I received from the separate big name gas plumber I hired to connect the generator to natural gas. (Note: This cost isn't cheap, is not included in the price from Lowe's and was not highlighted by Lowe's either as a significant-ask and budget!)
