Foundation reviews across the US

We had long cracks on the brick wall on the side of the house. Called a few companies and ended up choosing JSA. It's been a few months now and we're very happy with the results. The whole process was also very smooth and there was no pressure whatsoever.

Here's how it happened.

After having received reports and quotes that I wasn't happy with, I googled and found JSA. I called and thought I made an appointment for a "rep" to come out and do an inspection. The person who showed up was Scott, the owner of the company.

Scott did the inspection and told us what he thought happened. He also told us the things that he'd do to make the wall look almost like before the cracks appeared. Scott promised to email me a quote in a couple of days, which he did.

Here's why we like it and would recommend JSA.

Price was very reasonable and included mortar work after cracks had been closed.

There was no pressure and I wasn't feeling like my house was going to fall apart within 24 hours after the inspection.

They didn't have to remove my fence and gate (like the other company said they'd have to do)

They didn't make a mess in the yard and put everything back together

There was no gimmick, no fancy-looking inspection equipment, no hidden costs

Overall just a really pleasant experience working with Scott.

Scott and crew were about as easy a group to work with that exists in the world of home repair and construction. They were prompt, easy to communicate with, and up front about costs and timing. We contracted JSA Foundation to repair a sagging brick lentil above our two-car garage door. Scott and his crew were excellent and provided us with exceptional, professional service. I highly recommend JSA to anyone experiencing a sagging and cracking brick wall above their house's garage door.

JSA was great. They came out and looked at our repair. They explained everything in detail and had the best price. They worked with our schedule and did not pressure us. They did an amazing job! When the job was completed they cleaned up everything nicely. You could not even tell any repairs were done. I liked the fact that the owner was on the job the entire time. The crew did a great job and I would highly suggest you wait to have them out before chosing a repair company. JSA is definitely worth the wait!

Scott the owner came out and provided the quote and was on the job the entire time and did much of the work himself as his crew leader was on another job that day. He also does the brick repair work so you don't need to bring out another contractor. The clean up was excellent and all the plants and dirt was replaced to its original state. Very reliable. Great communication throughout the process. I do have some residual cracks in my basement floor that he has advised us how to fix. Would recommend getting a quote from this company.

Scott and his team were nothing but professional to work with on our recent repair. The patio/foundation for our sunroom was causing the room to sag and prevented us from being able to replace the windows in this space. They made quick work of our project knowing that another home repair was on hold until our foundation for our sunroom was repaired. The communication was great and the repair is sound! We would definitely recommend them for your home projects.

JSA helped us with some foundation issues on our older block building. Scott took time to explain the process thoroughly and made sure we understood everything they were doing. The issues were next to our brand new playground with brand new mulch. They took extremely good care of all of the surroundings and truly disturbed as little as possible. You can't even tell they were here! (with the exception of the building no longer trying to fall over) I would highly recommend them for any foundation needs!

I had Scott come out and give me a quote months ago, the corner of my house was sinking, he honored that same quote although it took me a while to get JSA out to get the work done. They fit me in, so quickly, and did a fabulous job! Cameron communicated with me until I could get home, then spent the time to explain everything that was done. I was having trouble with my brick face on the back of the house settling.I checked a lot of online statements. I kept coming back to JSA because of hearing 1 mans voice. He was always explaining what they were doing and why. I did not know it was Scotts voice the owner until I met him. He is on EVERY project. To me that meant he would be on mine, and he was. Scott went through every step of what they would do and what it would cost. There was no change in price if they went deeper or there was a problem. Coming from a bricklayer family as Scott does also gave me a level of comfort knowing he knew how it all works and is a hands on guy. They fixed my problem cleaned everything up before they left. I received a few quotes for the foundation repair I needed. I chose JSA Foundation Repair based on many factors:

1. The owner’s detailed explanation about foundations vs what was going on with my foundation. He made it easy for me to understand what the issue was and why it was happening.
2. The fact that the owner has been doing this work his entire life and is a 4th generation masonry expert.
3. All of the reviews I read for JSA were excellent.
4. The warranty lasts as long as the house lasts.
5. JSA is the only company I found that actually replaces the concrete in the driveway after the work has been completed. Other companies leave it up to the customer to replace the concrete.
6. The cost of the repair was very reasonable.

After the work was completed, I was thrilled with the results, including the new concrete!

I highly recommend JSA for any foundation repair you need.

They scheduled my work quickly, showed up a little early, and got right to getting my sagging garage doors leveled out, resulting in my brick cracks above one door going right back into place perfectly. My work looked quite a bit like several of those in their videos on their website, which I recommend viewing. And, they did it all easily and with a smile and affability. They also took their time and expertise to show me how to fill some cracks in my retaining wall and make them look good, which was not even part of the project. I contacted JSA when I noticed a long crack running along the front of my brick porch and another crack in the corner of a window on the front wall of the house. I sent pictures online and Scott was able to diagnose the issue and give me a quote for repairs. Scott was great to work with and took his time answering my (many) questions. He and his team were right on time and installed supports to lift the porch and wall back to the correct position, closing the cracks. They repaired the mortar and the work looks perfect. He took the time to walk around the house with me and inspect the foundation for any further issues. I would highly recommend this company.

I had some brick veneer issues that needed to be addressed. I researched several foundation repair and masonry companies. These were all highly recommended and quality companies. I chose Scott Anglin and JSA Foundation Repair. Scott is extremely knowledgeable not only with respect to foundations, but also masonry work. Scott's and his team's attention to detail impressed me. He explained what had occurred and how to resolve the situation. Scott personally was on the job site and did a lot of the work. JSA actually put in more piers than the other companies recommended, repaired the masonry and was less expensive. All in all, a win all around.

I contacted 4 foundation repair companies to address the foundation settling and cracks in the brick veneer masonry in one corner of my home. All responded with similar recommendations as to number of piers and their placement to address the foundation settling. Of the three companies I was considering only JSA Foundation Repair responded that they also had the ability to make all of the necessary masonry repair at no additional cost.(Two companies in one.) They also stood out due to Scotts very easy to understand explanation of the problem as well as action to repair and a very competitive price which included the masonry repair. It was an easy decision to go with JSA for the repairs.
Scott and his two assistants arrived in the morning of the agreed upon day. They completed all work and clean up by 3 in the afternoon. Two piers installed and the masonry work in the brick veneer was excellent including the necessary reattaching of the brick veneer to the house framing. All thru the work Scott explained in detail what was going on and the expected results. His two assistants were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the work.
The result was outstanding and I would highly recommend JSA.

I am so happy I contacted Scott at JSA Foundation Repair. I had ignored the crack above my garage door for years, not knowing what the problem was or how it could be repaired rather than just filled in. I sent pictures to Scott who immediately identified the issue as a sagging lentil and explained how they could fix it. He was able to schedule the project very quickly and I was amazed at how it was done-repair made, brick and mortar restored and cleaned up within 4 hours. I hope I never have another foundation issue, but if I do--Scott will be my only call.

I had a Lintel over the garage door that was sagging. No bricks had cracked yet but I figured it would eventually occur and I would have a bigger issue. I did the usual research educating myself on the problem and found several contractors that seemed like they would be able to handle the repair. One of them was JSA Foundation Repair. I am an engineer by profession (retired) and have a reasonable knowledge of the mechanics involved. I talked to Scott and it was clear he had done a lot of this work. He explained the process well. When his team came out to do the work, he stepped through the process they would use. They did the lift, mortared the holes to match the existing brickwork, and cleaned up afterwards. I generally don’t give 5.0 ratings but Scott and team earned it in this case. Job well done. Even my boss (wife) gives it a rating of 5.
