We had another company come out around Christmas 2 years ago and they charged us an arm and a leg to put Freon in our unit and told us they couldn’t find a leak. Needless to say Christmas Day it was out of Freon again. We ended up calling Dustin at High Performance and he came out and found the leak within 2 minutes tops and got it fixed. Thank you Dustin and High Performance for taking care of us!

Dustin has maintained our HVAC units for the last several years. He is a great guy. Honest and hardworking. Great at troubleshooting and repairs. His rates are very reasonable.

Dustin has been taking care of my 23 year old air conditioner for the past 15 years. it was time to replace this old unit, Dustin came to my home and gave me a quote and said he could be here in two days to install the new unit. 2 days later right at 8:am as promised Dustin and his brother showed up and went right to work. by lunch time my new heat pump was installed and cooling the house. High Performance Cooling did a great job and i would recommend them for any HVAC work that you need performed.... GREAT JOB!!

We have been trying since June to have our AC repaired. The coils were supposed to be ordered months ago. We have not heard from anyone regarding this matter.

We had been having problems all summer with our air conditioning. Several companies had come out, to no avail. Knox was recommended to me and responded quickly, and fixed our system that other's should have found. Don't waste your time and money, just call Knox.

I used them for a couple of years mostly for maintenance, they always managed to up charge me for coils and whatnot. Today they completely disrespected my time by straight up not showing up. I called them at 445 pm and Adam said one hour. Now at 620 pm I called again and I get voicemail saying it's afterhours. I'm not using them anymore after this. Totally disrespect for my time. They also say they have free filter changes but every time Kenny came, he never would do it.

Update: after talking to the manger, he told me he couldn't communicate because he was out of town and had no reception. He reached out when he saw my review. He does all the dispatch himself. I explained my time was valuable and he apologized. I suggested to him to use an answering service so he can avoid leaving clients in the dark in the future. Also, he explained to me that they never have provided free air filters. So the whole free air filter thing was my misunderstanding. My real estate agent had told me that was part of their seasonal service, which apparently was not true. I discovered them because the previous house owners used them. The manager offered to rectify the predicament with a discount to which I agreed since I've been using them for years now.

I had issues with my heating system and my insurance company redirected me to Knox for this issue ! Nathan has come in thrice but he couldn’t able to resolve the issue ! After few days when I reported the issue again he came in and replaced my thermostat ! Right now I am seeing the issue again , but they have become ghost ! No one is picking my call , responding my text ! One of the worst service I had in recent times! I have one year baby sitting in cold !

I was put into contact with Knox through a home warranty claim. The experience was great overall. The technician was on time and very knowledgeable of my system and was able to fix the issue within an hour. Thank you so much Jeff! The customer service provided by Amy was also beyond excellent. I have worked customer service for a long time and love it when I get the quality of service that I myself strived to give. Amy called me and followed up by texts afterwards for any changes and updates. I work remotely and take a lot of meetings, so it was beyond convenient to have such polite and professional notifications via text message. Thank you so much for being so communicative and friendly Amy! Don't let her go anywhere, she's a keeper!

Adam gave me a great price on installing two HVAC systems in my new home. Very knowledgeable and professional. I had several companies come out to give me a quote and it took weeks for some to call back with a quote and some never responded at all. Adam gave a me a quote immediately on site. After installation we moved into the home and the temperature outside dropped to 8 degrees. The heat pumps struggled to keep up but Adam did explain at the time of purchase that heat pumps in general have a tough time keeping up in colder climates. He sent Nathan out to check out the system and after upgrading the thermostats Nathan said the units should be able to keep up. Since then everything has been working perfectly. These guys are the best and I recommend them to anyone needing HVAC installation or repair.

My home warranty company dispatched my ac issue to Knox Heating and Air. Jon was my service technician and he did an outstanding job. Both times he came out, he shared the details of what was wrong and what the fixes were. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was very personable. I would recommend Knox for future use, if Jon were the technician. Great job Jon, and thank you for gettice my AC repair done right the first time.

I called Adam and he sent Jeff out shortly. Jeff was timely and professional. Jeff took his time to properly diagnose the problem. Turned out to just be a clogged line. I would highly recommend these guys. Thanks for the quick fix!

Knox was great to work with on a service level for the last 2+ years. My heat never worked from day 1 in my house and after 4 different people came to my house, but were "unable to see a problem" Adam was the only one who was able to find and fix all of the HVAC issues.

No complaints until my system needed to be replaced. After getting several quotes with other companies and comparing services and pricing, I decided to stick with Knox to replace my entire system. Adam was great during the consultation and answered all of my questions and concerns. The guys who actually installed the new HVAC were quick and seemingly efficient.

Install issues: I called Adam after they left (didn't get an answer) to let him know of a few small things that came up such as installers leaving a mess behind - using moving blankets that were so old, worn, stained, and dirty I caught a spider crawling out of one when walking by, muddy boots all over the LVP on my main level (and a large area rug) during install, and though dirty shoes did not directly hit my off white and new carpet upstairs, the "drops" or "floor protectors" left my carpet looking extremely dirty with debris and light stains so I spent the next 3 hours cleaning them with a machine (there are still stains that didn't come up).

After the install (a few days later) I noticed my outside unit was not level at all and after doing some research realized that can create some much bigger problems. Last night it was in the 40's unexpectedly and I had to turn the heat on. But I didn't sleep at all because my vents were only putting out cold air. The installers never checked the system to confirm that the heat worked before they left. I have had this exact issue before, and already know this is related to the install. I immediately made Adam (the owner) aware of both issues. He said he would have someone out here late last week to level the unit, and that is was "disappointing" for him to see that wasn't checked by his guys during the install. Yet, no one ever showed. My outside unit is still slanted. After a text and hours later, he asked if they could come tomorrow morning, to which I said no due to my work schedule. I asked that considering the temperatures, he had someone out here at some point today after reaching out first thing this morning. Texted, called, and left voice mail, but no response.

Over $8,000 one week ago. The check was cashed within 24 hours. I have a new system, working AC, an HVAC system with no heat, a slanted outside unit, concerns about service and warranty due to this experience, stained carpet, no confirmation of warranty (was told they would file on my behalf), not even as much as an invoice (how professional), and an owner who at this point has chosen to not take action in making any of it right.. oh, and let's not forget the honorable mention of escalated power bills for sleeping with a space heater this week after spending nearly $10,000 on an entirely new system.

I have two other people who need complete HVAC Systems that I was planning on referring to Knox, but after all this, I am questioning my own decision in choosing them for the job.

Adam was excellent! We had been w/out heat bc of a janky warranty company and Adam picked up their slack. He drove over an hour from Commerce to Woodstock and squeezed me in on a Saturday bc he wanted to get my family’s home heated, outside of using space heaters. He did this knowing he had to drive another hour back to see his son’s game. Top level service and very knowledgeable to get the job done quick and proper. Thanks again Knox and I’ll definitely send you some referrals! 🤙🏼
