I had Dependable come install an EV home charging station a couple of weeks ago. The end result was that they did install it, and it works. We had some miscommunication on the way, but we eventually got to the point where I was happy with it.

My charger, a ChargePoint Home Flex, will pull up to fifty amps (50A) of electrical current. Tesla chargers, which are a lot more common, that say they're rated for 50A actually mean that the wiring and breaker need to be rated for 50A, so they will only draw up to 40A due to the 80% rule for continuous electrical loads (40 / 80% = 50A). The ChargePoint is not like that - it will draw 50A if you configure it to - and they missed that. So when they installed it, they used a 50A breaker.

When I called them out on this, they talked to their boss, who told them to go to Home Depot and buy a 60A breaker to replace the 50A one. They then set the charger to a max output of 48A (60A x 80%). After they left I found out that the 6/3 Romex they used only had a current rating of 55A, so I set the charger to pull 44A instead (44A / 80% = 55A). If I had kept it at 48A, and it had been inspected, it would have failed. It may have also caused the wiring to overheat during a longer charge session.

Later on, I talked to David, the electricians' manager. I told him that if I'd known that getting the full 50A (or 48) would've cost a lot more than getting 44A, maybe I would've chosen that anyway to save on expensive wiring, or maybe I would've paid more in case I got an EV with a bigger battery later, but they essentially made the decision for me. He apologized for the misunderstanding, and said that in the future, his guys would study up on the charger in advance and be more transparent from the get-go, so they can offer customers different options based on what they want.

This is a small company, and having worked for a small company that is now a medium-size company, I can understand these growing pains. They have room to improve, but they're willing to improve, and in the end that's what matters.

Consumer beware!!! This electric company put a lien on my house for work that wasn't completed. They were well aware that the contractor was paid in full and he needed to be the one to pay them but they decided to put a lien on my property anyways instead of taking the contractor to court. The work done was poor quality and they used the wrong rated wires on an outdoor structure. They left our bathroom electrical hanging out of the wall and didn't even put outlet covers on the new outlets. We have been forced to obtain legal representation to get this sorted out, please save a massive headache and money by using any other electric company than dependable electric services.

We could not be more pleased with Alliance Plumbing. It’s been really hard finding a good plumbing company in our area. So glad we found Alliance. Our water heater suddenly stopped heating. We had to order a couple parts from the manufacturer. After receiving the parts 2 business days later we reached out to Alliance on Wednesday to have them replaced. They sent Micheal out the same day and we had hot water in less than an hour. Micheal was knowledgeable, very professional and the price was also very reasonable. I can't recommend Alliance Plumbing and Dmitriy's team enough. I’ve used them before for a basement leak, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. Recently, I noticed my water bill was higher than usual, and the water company identified a slow leak, however there were no visible signs around the house. I contacted Dmitriy, who quickly sent Nick & Alex to pinpoint the source. They found the issue was with our toilets. Dmitriy went above and beyond by recommending two different types of toilets for us to purchase, as the areas they were being installed in required specific models. He then arranged for Michael & Alex to install them the very same afternoon. The entire team was professional, and when they finished, there was no trace they had even been here. I always turn to Alliance Plumbing for my plumbing needs—they are trustworthy, reliable, and always deliver excellent service.

We discovered water coming through our basement wall near the entry of the main water line. I knew we needed to find a skilled plumber to fix this issue because it was so close to the main water line. I called Alliance and Dimitry answered immediately and scheduled us for next-day service. Alex and Daniel arrived on time and began to diagnose the problem. They took the time to explain the issue, which turned out to be a leak in the main water line outside of the exterior basement wall. As a homeowner, this made me nervous because I knew this would involve some major work. Alex and Daniel did an excellent job of explaining what they needed to do and were very transparent and up-front about the repair cost, which was reasonable. They went to work and fixed the exterior water line. In summary, this required a huge amount of work from the guys, and they got it all done within in a couple of hours. I was impressed with how quickly they excavated and found the water line, and showed me exactly where it was leaking. Finally, they replaced our ancient pressure valve inside and left us with brand new shiny pipes. Overall they made what could have been a stressful home service repair into a good one. I recommend them overall for three reasons. First, the prompt scheduling we received, second the skill and workmanship of the techs, and finally the reasonable prices they quoted us.

I would provide more stars if I could. I have used Alliance now on 3 separate occasions and they are phenomenal. Great customer service, on time and quality work is done. They don’t upsell you on anything and inform you if they find something that might need to be addressed and/or doesn’t because it is in good shape and puts your mind at ease. I will continue to use them whenever I have any needs in my home. My last experience they got the job done on the same day I called. Use Alliance you will not be disappointed.

These are honest, reliable, and professional plumbers. They installed a tankless water heater and two cartridges for us. They showed up on time, were friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. I’ve had mixed (at best) experiences with the big national or regional businesses; they were always upcharging me, or trying to sell me something, and they rarely stuck to the schedule. Alliance is different; it was a great experience. I recommend them highly.

Fantastic work, one time and professional. At the end of 2024 I had to get a Cartridge Valve for my shower replaced. While I acquired the recommend part, prior to the plumber's arrival, it didn't take them long to get it swapped out and my shower back up and running. My neighbor had recommended me, and she wasn't wrong.

Today was the second time I used Alliance for some plumbing issue in my house and had a have had a phenomenal experience both times. I’m always cautious of overly positive reviews but can confirm they are legit. Woke up this morning to frozen pipes and called around 830am. Dimitri answered and was at my house within 20 minutes. I was lucky and we were able to unfreeze the main pipe thanks to his knowledge and quick acting. Safe to say he won a customer for as long as I am within their serviceable locations. Can’t recommend enough.

Alliance Plumbing & Drain replaced our main water line. Dimitry, his co-owner, and employees were fantastic to work with.

We first discovered the leak right around the time we were leaving the country for the holidays. When I initially contacted the office, in the early morning hours on December 20, I had to leave a message. However, within 15 minutes or less, Dimitry returned my call and discussed his company’s repair and replacement processes.

We agreed he would do his initial inspection upon our return. He texted and emailed me a video, which provided instructions for turning off the meter valve while we were away, a professional courtesy I appreciated.

When we returned, Dimitry and his employees came out, performed the inspection, and discovered that our leak was quite substantial. Full water main replacement was recommended. The next day, they completed the replacement. Not only was the work very neat, they treated our property with the upmost respect, meticulously cleaning up the work area. Their pricing, while not the lowest bid we received, was competitive relative to the market.

Without reservation, we recommend this company.

Had a leak in my water heater. Called Alliance and they were able to come out same day and get it fixed in couple hours. Really impressed by their professionalism and speed of service. Highly recommend to anyone looking that needs plumbing services!
