You will not find a more accountable, professional, knowledgeable and customer oriented repair duo as Brian and Nani. Right from the start, with their voice mail, I knew I dealing with a responsible vendor. The message provides the times of his availability for the day. He said he had a 9am and 1pm opening. I left a message saying I'd like his 1pm appointment that day. I left the message at 9:17am and he called back at 9:39. He even updated his voice mail message now that it was past 9am and I took the 1pm appointment that day. When I called back the voice mail now stated his availability times for the following day. He was so accommodating all day as I had a lot of vendors over and was trying to juggle the times all the vendor trucks were going to be in my driveway. He was very accommodating and understanding and willing to make special arrangements to accommodate my crazy schedule. I described my problem over the phone and he immediately knew what the issue sounded to be. He even had the part in stock! When he arrived, he already had the invoice written up (I was very impressed with is professionalism). He charges a very reasonable flat fee plus the cost of the parts. He and Nani work very well together. They are a well oiled machine, working in concert. It's like watching a surgeon and his assistant; each knowing what their role is and what to do next. You will hands-down, not find a better repair duo. I will recommend them to all my friends and family. You will be very pleased you called Brian and Nani to fix your washer and dryer!!!

I called Goodwin on Sunday afternoon, set an appt for Monday morning. Brian and Nani came on time, had the correct part. Our LG washer was back in service in no time. Repair cost was more than fair. One of the very best service experiences ever. I highly recommend Goodwin Appliance.

Brian was very professional and kind. He and his wife came in a very timely manner and assisted me with my dryer repairs. I recommend them and their honest work. Very rare now and days.I highly recommend him and his work!

I wish I could give Goodwin Appliance Repair a thousand stars. Brian’s rates are very very reasonable. If you can’t fix your washer or dryer there is no charge at all. In my case, I left a message on Sunday afternoon, by 1:30 on Monday my washer was fixed and I was doing laundry. In addition to his reasonable rates and being excellent at washer repair, he’s just a great guy. If you need washer or dryer repair, Brian is the one to call!

I reached out to Goodwin Appliance Repair because of all the great reviews I had seen on Google and Yelp, unfortunately I did not receive the same level of communication and customer service as many of the reviews claim.

Brian responded quickly to my voicemail, asked for the model number so he look up parts, then stated after looking up the model, it was not an issue he worked on. When I asked for some clarification on what the issue was or if he thought it wasn’t worth fixing and I should just purchase a new washer, he never responded to my messages. This surprised me after reading so many good reviews about how communicative and professional he is!

Was he unable to do the work because he doesn’t work on Maytag appliances, or he couldn’t order the part, or it was too difficult of a job, especially since he charges a flat rate? Or is it simply not something that’s fixable or worth fixing? I don’t know. There was obviously an issue and it would’ve taken 2 mins to simply send a text saying what that issue was.

As someone that reads many reviews, I felt I should share my experience, especially as it was far from the rave reviews posted. Hopefully your experience will be different than mine.

I have a leaking washer and couldn't find the cause. I called several repair places and left voice messages, but Goodwin Appliance Repair was the only one that returned my call. Brian came out and found the problem right away and came back the next day with the part to repair it. Unfortunately, one of the nuts on the appliance was too corroded and would not come off. Even though he spent a good amount of time working on it and it wasn't his fault that the machine was too corroded to work on, he didn't charge me for anything (part or time). I definitely was impressed by his professionalism and would recommend Goodwin Appliance Repair to anyone that needs their appliances fixed.

Absolutely recommend Brian Goodwin of Goodwin Appliance Repair. He and his assistant (wife Nani) provided the type of service experience that anyone would ever hope for. Very punctual, dependable, personable, honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, efficient and quality of work is second to none. All of this and more for a total charge that is probably much less than the norm. I couldn’t be more happy. Will only be using Goodwin Appliance Repair for all of my washer and dryer repair and servicing needs.

Returned my call to schedule an appointment within one hour. Extremely polite and professional. Availability within next 24 hours. Arrived a few minutes early (very punctual). Updated me during the job, and worked efficiently and professionally to complete the job in less than one hour. Ending balance was less than originally quoted, due to job not being as involved. Highly recommend! I wish all companies performed to the standard of Goodwin Appliance. They set the standard for customer service, satisfaction, professionalism, and quality work! Thank you SO much, greatly appreciated!

Brian is solid repairman. Easy to communicate with, arrives in the timeframe he says. Extremely transparent and provides sound advice. He had to come back a second time to make adjustments to his original repair as the washer wasn’t working. He did not charge this time. If you’re looking for someone that isn’t going to scam, this is the guy.

Honestly the best service we’ve ever received. I called early in the morning and they were out within a few hours. Brian immediately figured out the problem and had my dryer running better than new in no time! Brian and his wife were very pleasant and personable! I highly recommend them!

Honest, reliable, cost effective, genuine and trustworthy if you’re looking for that kind of person to fix your washer and dryer look no further. This husband and wife team will NOT over charge you. I had other quotes for almost double the price. Yes they may take some time getting back to you but they are a small business, it’s worth the wait. They are HONEST and reasonably priced and that to me is worth it. And they honour their work! Very happy customer here!

Brian was awesome. Arrived early, diagnosed the issue, replaced a few parts, even re-adjusted the height of the washer. Out the gate, he said if its going to be expensive than I might as well buy a new washer. Reasonable. Very honest business person. Highly recommend. Will definitely keep him in my contacts.

Came within 24 hours, was professional, knowledgeable and fast! I had an LG washing machine from Costco that was five years old and he knew exactly what was wrong and had the replacement part on him. Highly recommend.

Brian is very pleasant as he quickly fixed my broken dryer. He did it faster and charged me less than he quoted me on the phone. He has pride in his work. This husband & wife team was a super duo. They were prompt, efficient & reliable. Called on a Monday & they came the next day. I complained about hearing a rumbling sound from my dryer--they opened up the back to check it out--cleaned out all the lint trapped inside, then changed out my door gasket on my washer. They only charged a service fee of $135 + parts and didn't even charge for cleaning out my dryer. If ever I need any washer/dryer repair, I would definitely call again! Thanks Brian & Nani!

Brian was an absolute life/ washing machine saver. He was very professional and trustworthy. He knew exactly what was wrong with my machine and help me to fix it over the phone. I dread calling repair shops. It's always a hassle, I feel like I'm getting the run around, and maybe getting taken advantage of.

Brian not only quoted me a great price within 15 minutes, he scheduled and completed the repair the next day, and went above and beyond to make sure my washer was in tip top shape.

Brian and his wife Nani came out to diagnose my washer and found that it was unrepairable. He only charged a small fee for coming out to Makakilo. I highly recommend Brian he's cool and honest.

I have a five year old Samsung electric dryer that stopped spinning. Called Brian Goodwin to investigate and was pleased with all aspects of my repair experience. Easy to book an appointment time, he arrived with an assistant at the time he said he would, and they were professional in their conduct. Brian diagnosed that a new motor was needed and showed me the website with the cost of the replacement motor. I live in Kailua and he had to drive to Honolulu to pick up the part and then return to install the motor but he still charged the flat fee for labor as promised. I like his business model: flat fee for labor plus the cost of parts. He told me the repair would be warrantied for a year. So far so good, but in the following days of use we found that with its new motor the dryer made a humming sound it never used to do so even though the appliance was working fine the I contacted him to see if he could investigate. He was off island but followed up promptly upon his return. Diagnosed that the new motor was not seated quite right which was causing the humming sound. He reseated it and the hum disappeared. True to his warranty promise there was no charge for the return visit. My impression is that he runs a very honest and professional business and I definitely will use him again for any future repairs I might have. Thumbs up for Goodwin Appliance Repairs!
