In July 2018, we contracted with New England Heat Pumps to install a mini split system in our home. The system consisted of a 24,000 BTU outdoor unit with one 18,000 BTU unit in the cathedral ceiling main living space and one 9,000 BTU unit in the master bedroom. Gary Soucy knows his craft well. He and his assistant put in the system with no delays and no glitches. No shortcuts were taken and the entire installation reflects their high degree of professionalism, diligence, and superior attention to detail. Everything was installed to code and the system has operated with no problems. And Gary put in all the correct paperwork with the state for our rebate. We were so impressed with NEHP, that when it came time for us to consider a system for our camp this spring, we didn't even think of calling anyone else. Once again, Gary was prompt and professional in all aspects, from the the initial estimate visit through the completion of the job. At the camp, we now have a single 18,000 BTU system that heats and cools the entire building. No more sweltering summer nights hoping for a breeze! Insert a BIG smiley face here! NEHP has my highest recommendation for timeliness, professionalism, and value.

Gary installed a 2nd heat pump in my house in Searsport. We needed to adjust the installation a bit to clear wall for a future awning install and move the inside head unit to better location. He was very accommodating and kindly even made an extra trip to his supplier in Bangor. He's punctual, an excellent communicator, and the quality of his installation reflects what a true professional installer should be. You won't be disappointed if you hire him.

Definitely give 5 stars!!! Gary took me on when nobody else would. He is extremely kind, professional and truly cares about his customers. You don't find many people now days that truly cares about the job they are doing and what the customer is going through. My business and my clients all thank him! Used the online booking which was very simple to use. Promptly received a message confirming the date and time. Gary was arrived early enough to be ontime and very pleasant and not overbearing he did a very detailed cleaning to out mitsubishi heatpump completed within a hour. I called them several times last year to bleed and repair my old furnace. They always came within a couple hours, easily found my issues and fixed them in no time flat. They gave me a list of things that will need repair in time to avoid me being surprised when that time comes and recommended services that can help afford the repair costs. They were very helpful, respectful, professional and kind and always made sure me and my three children stayed warm. They are the only ones I'll go to!

Big Joe said " i wont service your property" unless i spend 6k....just wanted the world to know ended up only costing me 90 bucks for a motor replacement online...now my family has heat again....DO NOT CALL THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sousa Oil is an exceptional company! My furnace "died" and my oil tank and hot water tank were old and outdated as well. I called Joe, and he and Bruce came the next day to replace everything. Within three days I had a brand new oil burner, oil tank and an updated hot water tank. They were fast, knowledgeable, and provided superior service! They were happy to answer all my questions and left my basement clean. I highly recommend them for any heating concerns.

Joe and Bruce are responsive and did amazing, fast work. They replaced an outdated and dangerous oil burner and tank and updated our domestic hot water. All of the equipment is top of the line and will run another 40 years! One of the best experiences I've had as a home owner dealing with repairs.

I purchased my home a couple years ago and procrastinated on getting a cleaning and service on my heating system, and the company that the former owners used had retired (one man with a van), so I did some research on local oil burner service companies on Google. I knew I needed an appointment fairly quickly because my burner was acting up - starting and stopping for the first couple minutes of every heating cycle and a smell of incomplete combustion.

After calling around to some of the local burner service companies and not really having much luck getting an appointment, I talked to Sousa's and they were able to fit me in 2 days later.

Bruce showed up first thing in the morning and did a thorough cleaning and service of the heating system, explained everything he was doing, and after all the work was done, the system is running in perfect shape now. He was very friendly throughout the entire time he was here, he is very knowledgeable and has a professional customer service attitude and I can tell he cares about giving customers an overall pleasant experience. It has been about a month since the work was done, and my heating system continues to "purr along in tip top shape" which gives me the confidence of a worry-free burner and boiler system going forward. And I will definitely make sure to get an annual cleaning going forward!

Just had this great company put in a new oil tank and furnace. My old one was a gob job by others. Sousa’s are by fair the best guys you’ll ever have in your home I would not hesitate to have them for my oil furnace needs they are most certainly very professional, trustworthy guys, cleaned up every day after their work, took out and disposed of the old system as well. I have a safe and reliable system now. Can not thank them enough! Especially with the oil prices to have an efficient heating system is a must!
