A-1 truly lived up to their name! This was my first time calling an HVAC specialist. I used Yelp to provide a list of vendors that service Emmett, read Google reviews and called A-1. The front office explained my options in a friendly and professional manner. We chose their MVP (Maintenance Value Plan) at an affordable price. A-1 used text and email to keep me informed. On appointment day, Alan called with his ETA, arrived on time, and was also friendly, knowledgeable professional. Alan even gave me the choice for him to perform his work alone or explain to me the AC system as he serviced it. He even went the extra mile and explained how I could repair a broken hose bib myself and save the expense of a plumber's visit.

For those with compromised health, they offer a "no contact" visit. Although we have a disabled person in our home, we did not need it. But we sure appreciate their sensitivity and utmost professionalism.

I feel the installation was the best HVAC in the treasure valley. The Thoroughness of each and everyone from A1 was amazing!

I highly, highly recommend A-1. They are professional, knowledgeable, understanding, efficient, show up on time and so very nice. I have had interactions with a total of 9 guys at my house and with the gals in the office. I have used them for everything from heater serving, electrical work to a new generator installation. The customer service is top notch. I even made them some cookies to show my appreciation.

Although they were running a little behind, Andrey and Steven arrived to service my AC unit. I was impressed when the local owner, Ben called me to apologize for the slight delay. That is a gesture you don't see these days. Steven did a thorough job of cleaning and servicing my AC unit and condenser while taking the time to explain the process to me. I appreciate the personal call from the owner, Ben and thorough and professional approach shown by Steven and Andrey. I will definitely be using One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating going forward. 👍

I couldn't be happier with my experience. I got quoted by a few companies and One Hour won on price and made me the most comfortable in a large purchase. The team that came out worked harder than expected, were very knowledgeable and polite. Communication was great as well and my upstairs is finally not so hot, I can finally sleep without numerous fans to cool me down! I highly recommend this team to care great care of you in your heating and cooling needs.

One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning provided my son with timely and efficient diagnosis and repair of his furnace problem. The technician, Daniel Kaurin, had to get creative and develop a brilliant work around solution when he rewired the circuit board. My son told me that the tech was very knowledgeable and professional. I give One Hour Heating and AC 5 stars for the fantastic service.

Our old A/C unit went out, and among the HVAC companies I called, One Hour Heating&Air Meridian was the one that could send someone out that weekend. Andrey was the technician that arrived. He was professional and kind and did what he could to solve the problem but ultimately we bought a new unit. Andrey and Anthony worked to install the unit and fix some other problems we were facing. Again, they were very professional but they also truly cared about our situation and worked hard to fix it for us. I am very pleased with their service and would recommend One Hour Heating&Air-Meridian to others.

Later on in the winter, our furnace was having trouble so Dan came out and fixed it. He was friendly, professional, and thorough, and it was up and running in a little bit. Thank you!

There are still good people! Eric came after my desperation post, and got my ac up and running! professional, kind, very knowledgeable! I know i will need a replacement sooner then later, and i know where to go, ONE HOUR HEATING AND AIR!

Andrey was great! He quickly diagnosed the problem and offered three potential solutions. He answered all of my questions but was not pushy one way or another and even encouraged me to seek out other estimates to ensure I was getting the best deal. I was most impressed by his flexibility and willingness to help whether I decided to choose his company or not. Their goal is to ensure that the customer is satisfied with their service and I was definitely satisfied. Thank you, Andrey, for a great experience! Daniel Kaurin showed up on time and got our condensor diagnosed and fixed up within 30 minutes. Friendly, prompt and professional! Great service.

I reached out to them because they were the only ones available to look at my AC unit after hours. I paid $165 for the visit, but it quickly became clear that I was the one leading the diagnostic process. Before I stepped in to assist the technician, we were on the path toward a full system replacement—either sourcing a new condenser (if they could even find one) or replacing the entire HVAC system, including the evaporator coil in the attic connected to the furnace.

With the technician’s help, we eventually determined the actual issue: a failed capacitor—a $20 part. The company then tried to charge me nearly $500 for the replacement, which I declined. I ended up purchasing the part myself and completing the repair on my own.

To be clear, this review is not a reflection on the technician, who was friendly, courteous, and easy to work with. My frustration is with the company’s pricing practices and what appears to be a clear effort to upsell or pressure customers—especially those without a background in HVAC or basic electronics—into unnecessary and extremely costly repairs.

In my opinion, their approach is predatory and takes advantage of people who are in urgent situations and may not know any better. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I don’t give reviews because there is an expectation of 5 stars for an average job, but these guys earned a 5 by really going above and beyond to really ensure our satisfaction. The owner Ben was very responsive and helpful in addressing any questions or concerns we had, and stepping up with professionalism and integrity when there were issues. Where most HVAC companies jump straight to a full replacement, 1 hour was the only company that brought forward a repair solution for 1/2 the replacement cost. Good job guys!

Extremely impressed with the service I received from One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning! We returned home from a weekend camping trip to find our AC stopped working. With 105 degree temps, I needed someone that could help ASAP. I called at 8am and spoke to Ross, who was able to get me scheduled for SAME DAY service. He gave me a window of 12:30-2. When Daniel, my service technician was ahead of schedule, I received a call asking if it was ok for him to arrive EARLIER! He arrived at 10:45 and had me up and running again by noon. This was exceptional service! Calling around other areas in town didn’t have same day service available, and their service windows were anywhere from 5-10 hours! I really appreciated how responsive and professional this team was. Thank you!

Eric Carlon came out free of charge to look at my hvac system that needs replacing. He was professional, friendly, and honest. Of all three attributes honestly outweighs them all. He climbed up to look into my attic
went down into my crawl space, and
gave me estimates for all of the
scenarios I presented him. He took his
time and he was very thorough.
With all of my questions and apprehension, His patience was very much appreciated. His knowledge, honesty, professionalism, and patience make me believe that One Hour Heating and Air is the right choice.

What a life saver, our AC went out at 7pm on a Saturday night a week and a half ago. after calls to others with response times of 2 days to 2 weeks, i was lucky to call One Hour and spoke with Ben, he had Daniel at out house about 1 hour later, although it wasn't able to be fixed (Daniel was here trying until 11pm) they got us a new unit installed first thing monday. All of the employees from One Hour are amazing, very professional and exactly what they said would happened, did. They have great follow up and i will recommend them to everyone. With this extreme heat the new AC is really keeping our 2 story home very cool, WE LOVE IT

We had scheduled an appointment for our yearly heater inspection. Andrey arrived promptly in the window that was arranged and knocked it out of the park! Quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and super friendly. Will definitely be reaching out again as we near spring/summer for the A/C inspection.

EDIT (6.30.25): Our A/C motor went out over this past weekend, Eric Carlon came out on a Sunday to get all the necessary info to get the replacement part. Arrived the following Monday and had our AC up and running in a matter of minutes. Excellent customer care and communication. One Hour Heating and AC are the best.

Overall happy, Daniel came out and looked at our system for a second opinion after another contractor told us we needed to do a full replacement of the system. He spent a fair amount of time checking the crawl and looking at the wiring and determined our system was working fine (albeit old and using R-22 so eventually due) he did change out the capacitor on the AC unit since it was running low.

I took off a star because their pricing was quite a bit higher then average for replacing a capacitor + diagnosis but for peace of mind, especially after the other guys tried to strong-arm me into throwing 15k at a new system, I was fine with paying more this time. Daniel was very nice and answered a lot of questions.

We had a great experience with One Hour Heating & Air. We were able to schedule summer A/C check up in just a couple of days. Our service rep Daniel, called to let me know he was coming and arrived right on time. He was respectful of our home, he insisted on wearing shoe covers, and was careful with his equipment. He was very thorough. They gave us a great deal on the service cost. We are very happy! Thanks.

Eric the Technician was very knowledgeable about heating and air conditioning and informed me on the solution required. He also check the freon levels to really narrow down the cause. Looking forward to having the system repaired ASAP it's hot !

Awesome experience with this company. We've used another company in the area for 15 years and when our HVAC unit had some issues this month, we were given two choices - a $5,000 repair or a $20,000 replacement. I wanted a second opinion, so I called One Hour. They came the same day, took a look at our system, and told us there was no need to get a new system and that the repair would be a fraction of the cost of what we were quoted by the other service provider. Their tech was a super friendly guy with a lot of knowledge and experience. We had a great conversation about what was going on with our unit - he was able to explain us what was going on in terms we could understand. Highly recommend One Hour.
