Not even 1 star for this company. Was put in contact thru our insurance company. Joseph was extremely rude when I explained my situation, talked down about our insurance company and refused to make an appointment with us. NO INTEGRITY AND IS ONLY AFTER THE BIG MONEY CUSTOMERS must be originally from California. The WORST COMPANY IN IDAHO S & R Heating and Cooling!!! They make Perfect Heating and Air seem like a great company

This company is top notch. Jake and his dad are amazing at what they do. I love all the information they provided for my husband and I and answered all of our questions. In 105° weather there were able to unhook and install the ac. And have it turning on at lunch time. Very professional and understanding. Thank you

I received several quotes for my AC unit that was not working. Everyone told me I needed a new air conditioner and the old one was to old to fix. Jake came told me the fan was bad and ordered/replaced the fan and it has been working for 4 years now without another issue. I would recommend S & R Heating both for their expertise, but also for their honesty. Sorry it took so long to write a review -

S&R showed up to our house within three hours on a 107 degree day after our AC stopped working (and it was 87 degrees in our house). He was extremely informational and taught us a lot about how the unit works and was in and out within 20 minutes with a simple fix. S&R is a LOCAL Boise father/son team who don't haggle or charge extreme fees and are very professional and knowledgeable.

After calling 10+ other companies S&R were the only ones who answered and showed up when it mattered. We'll be referring them to everyone we know from now on. Thank you guys!

Woke up on Easter Sunday with no hot water in our 2 year old home ! Panic set in, reached out to friends who HIGHLY referred S & R Heating. Called them not expecting to answer Easter Sunday. They did! And stopped by on the way to his own Easter Sunday dinner !!! Long story short a few hours later we have hot water again! Advised to call back next day if any water leaking. Later Easter Sunday recieced call from Jake checking in on hot water heater, was able to get an appt scheduled so they could come out and check a little water still leaking. THE BEST MOST FRIENDLY SERVICE! They truly care!! I will refer them to family and friends! Thank you for being an honest and trustworthy company who believes in customer service!

I can not say enough great things about our experience with S&R. Our AC went out and even though I called at 9pm, Jake replied quickly and was out here the next day. He was professional and fair and our New AC works great. He was so easy to work with. He was up front with all of the charges, and there were no hidden labor costs like with the other companies. I would recommend him for all HVAC needs.

S & R is made up of a father and son team. Our a/c went out last week and I requested bids from several companies. With it being during a heat wave, lots of companies were booked out. I called Jake on a Saturday morning and he sent out his father to take a look and give us a quote. They were able to come MONDAY to help out my family and get us running again. With two young kiddos, I was not looking forward to the following week of consecutive 100 degree days. Jake and his dad were great, on time and super reasonable in price. They provided quality service. Thanks to them, we have a great new hvac system that should last us a long time. Thank you so much S & R heating and cooling! I wish I could give Joseph and Jake Strong ten stars. S&R Heating and Cooling is a family run business that raises the bar of customer service and integrity. My 28 year old furnace is running better than it has in years! They took great care to make sure I kept warm by providing heaters and even firewood for my fireplace while taking time to get the repairs done right at a great price. My furnace has a new sticker and I am warm and smiling.

Jake completed the final connection of the line set for my mini-split in our garage. He cut and flared the excess length of pre-made line sets for a custom fit. His professionalism and expertise resulted in a great install. He also did annual maintenance on our HCAC system and ordered parts to repair the pilot light in our gas fireplace.

Jake did an excellent job on my furnace!! Honest, kind, and knowledgeable. A great local, family run business!!! Do not hesitate to give them a call.

Jake at S&R did a fantastic job fixing a faulty damper on our A/C unit today. I called him at 9:45AM and after asking about our availability, he said he'd do his best to swing by close of business the next day. He called back at 12:45PM the same day to let me know he had an opening and would be at our house in 30 minutes.

He did a complete examination of our system, narrowed in on the problematic damper, and even happened to have the right replacement unit in his truck. He got the job done in record time at a very reasonable price and we have a cool second story again!

This is the second time we've worked with Jake and S&R and he's the exact kind of person you want working on your heating or cooling system: smart, a solid troubleshooter, kind, and a great communicator. If you need a hand with your system, don't hesitate to call S&R!

We just purchased our two year old home. I have a home warranty which calls for annual maintenance on hvac system .Boise Valley Heating and Air preformed a thorough cleaning and inspection. The technician did not hurry and did a very good job on cleaning. He pointed out some additional work but there was no pressure sales. I knew that it would be beneficial and he completed it. He explained his work and I felt I had got my money's worth. I signed up for annual maintenance. Remember that Maintenance is the cheapest way instead of replacing.
