We were in desperate need of help. Our furnace had stopped working and the sub-freezing temps were expected to drop to zero. Panic was setting in. But, Gray was able to send their skilled technician, Sergio, who arrived almost two hours ahead of schedule. Sergio, diligently and expertly examined the furnace. Eventually, he diagnosed that a very dirty heat exchanger was causing poor airflow causing the system to shut down. He then spent a considerable amount of time in a very cramped space cleaning the suspect part. Eventually, he emerged, dirt smudged on his face with a bag filled with dirt. The system restarted and we are not in danger of suffering from hypothermia.

They were able to fit us in right away. Office called to alert me that the tech was on his way. Technician, Sergio, arrived on time, and was courteous and knowledgeable. He assessed the HVAC system, then patiently explained what needed to be done and provided a likely timeline. So far- very impressed!

My furnace broke down, as soon as I gave them a call and let them know I was in Bridgeview, they didn’t hesitate to come out, access my situation and gave me all possible options. This was our first experience with Gray's Mechanical. Of course our furnace went out on the weekend. I called and spoke with Bradley. He took our information and said the service tech would be calling us. A short time later Anthony called and let us know his eta. He arrived within minutes if the estimated time. 👍 Anthony went to work on resolving the problem. We needed to replace a board. He picked up the part and installed it. With a bit of troubleshooting, we had heat.

Anthony and Juan were great with installing new furnace and was available within 24 hours to install a new furnace. Alex was also great with providing the different furnace options available to me so I can choose the one that works best for me within a good price point I was able to do.

I moved here in July, only to discover that there were major safety issues when the Fall inspection was done. I am sooo grateful to the entire team at Gray's Mechanical LLC. From each technician that came into my condo to the staff that took my calls, they were easy to interact with, very professional, and always quick to respond to an inquiry. I had an extremely frustrating situation with my home Warranty situation that dragged the replacement far longer that it should have, but once I got in touch with Gray's it was the complete opposite. Gray's is fantastic in my book!

Their onsite installation guys are very professional. You can tell this is a business that cares. Our home is a bit challenging to work with, and I thought the guys did a great job.

Fantastic experience having Grays install our new furnace. I did a bunch of reading and called several companies for quotes. Grays went above and beyond right from the start. Paul took the time to ask what we were looking for and explained all of the options. He even calculated the heating requirements for our house and recommended a a smaller unit than we had. We didn’t feel any upsell pressure etc, and communication was excellent.

The install itself was super smooth. The team was in and out in about four hours and left things super clean. They explained the system and even gave me a copy of the full install manual to look through. It was clear they put extra effort in the duct work, and it looks nice, something I didn’t expect.

I did have one small issue with a valve, and mentioned it when they asked how everything was going the day after the install. Within 45 minutes Sergio was at my house troubleshooting. He swapped a part, double checked everything and walked me through a few extra features and how to adjust them later on if I ever wanted to.

All in all, excellent service, super clean install and great communication. The price wasn’t the lowest, but was very very competitive. I was impressed by the quality and how everyone talked me through what and why they were doing things a certain way, even though they didn’t have to. It’s clear that this is a company that values its staff and customers and know they stand behind their work. The small difference in price between other quotes was absolutely worth it.

I’ll definitely be calling them when it’s time to swap my A/C, and probably for a water heater sometime in the future too.

Juan came over to take a look at the furnace that would not stay lit. He took his time, did diligent work, and amazing troubleshooting. Not only found the problem, but also took the time to fix a few other things that could be potential issues later. This was a tricky one and he didn’t back down or just say he couldn’t fix it. He took the time and took care of us.

My experience with Gray's Mechanical was world class. From the initial estimate walk through in my home, to the installation of my new heat pump and furnace, the experience was pleasant the whole way through. The entire process with Gray's was efficient and effective, just like our new HVAC system. They've found the perfect combination of new school technology and old school relationship building.
