We’ve had Platinum, mechanical, and specifically, Rick, come into our home to service our furnace/heating system for approximately 30 years. It’s an older system that doesn’t exist anymore, and Rick and the company have nursed our system along found parts, replaced things whenever it’s been necessary. Not only that, but they always clean up after themselves before they leave, and their rates are very reasonable. I don’t know what we do without Rick and Platinum!

We are grateful to Platinum Services for their prompt and professional job. Their team recognized the urgency of our refrigerator not functioning and Robert diagnosed the problem right away and was able to get it running the same day.

Extremely frustrating to work with. They charged me over $200 just to diagnose the problem with our oven and sent over an astronomical quote close to the price of a new appliance. They refused to provide a breakdown of parts and labor or even provide the part numbers needed for the repair. Will not be calling them back in the future and recommend sensible consumers don't either.

I've used Platinum Mechanical Services for a wine cooler repair and rebuild. I have to say - every step of the way, Platinum was excellent. From scheduling, back office support and of course the expertise of Rick and Rob the technicians -- who rebuilt my wine cooler (which had a custom door that I wanted to save), so that I essentially have a new appliance for a cost that was under what I would have paid for a new unit. The entire team was professional, they clearly have the tech knowledge and skill, and they all worked with efficiency. I'm grateful and I highly recommend Platinum Mechanical Services!

I recently used Platinum Mechanical Services to take a look at my Samsung refrigerator that was freezing up and not working properly.Technician (Rob) showed up in the time window that was given during the service call.I was called to let me know he was heading my way ,which was great.Rob was exceptional. He took a look at my refrigerator and was able to explain the problem to me in a way that I would understand.The parts that needed to be ordered and the function of each part.

In addition Rob let me know that the parts would have to be ordered out of state. I appreciated that because I was able to built a time frame of about how long it would take before my refrigerator would to be serviced.

He knew that I don’t fix refrigerators for a living ,so he used easy language unlike other repair services that made me feel like I should know the “lingo” being used.

We have a 16 year old stove that was in need of repairs. Rick and Bob from Platinum Mechanical Services came out and meticulously repaired the issue. I rarely write reviews, but was motivated by the outstanding service. Thank you

I had platinum services out to repair my range and they took care of my water filter while they were here! Great service would definitely call them again if ever needed.

Rick mentioned first one issue and then a different one as the problem with my burners. Made me wonder if he knew or what the heck. They charged $210 to come out and then $56 because he did a little bit of “ labor “ which was needed to diagnose the issue but the problem is still there! Complete rip off. They’re after your money. The fact that they are the “authorized” Viking repair company shouldn’t authorize them to scam people. Don’t use them. The whole thing was ridiculous.

Just had such a great experience with Rob. He identified the problem and was able to fix it right away. He walked me through what was happening each step so I knew what to look for in case something happened again. And I’m a bit outside their service range but they made an exception for me. I am super happy with the experience and will definitely recommend them.

After six failed attempts by another company to repair a very high-end La Cornue stove, my client—the homeowner—was extremely frustrated and ready to give up hope that it could ever be fixed. Then Rob and Rick from Platinum Mechanical came in. To our amazement, they diagnosed and resolved the problem in just a couple of hours.

The service was excellent. They repaired my subzero within 24 hrs of diagnosing the problem. Our technician, Rick, was really great as always. He rebuilt the extra low heat elements of my Thermador Range a couple times several yrs ago also.

I had them come out today and Rob did a phenomenal job going through my Blue Star range and explaining everything to me. I’m so happy my oven is working perfectly. Thank you so much and I will recommend you highly to everyone I know.

Rick came out and serviced our very temperamental Hoshizaki ice maker. It’s the first time we’ve used Platinum and it’s the best service we’ve ever had for this dang thing! Perfectly clean and way quieter now. Rick couldn’t have been nicer or more knowledgeable. Will call after the holidays to have our other appliances cleaned and maintained. Thanks!

I can’t say enough good things about Rick from Platinum Mechanical Services. After months of ongoing issues with my new(ish) La Cornue stove and multiple visits from another repair place, Rick was an absolute breath of fresh air. He is knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and truly human in how he approaches his work. He quickly diagnosed multiple problems that others had missed and took the time to explain everything clearly.

It’s rare to find someone who’s not only technically excellent but also genuinely cares about doing things right. Worth every single penny. If you’re dealing with a high-maintenance appliance or need someone who truly knows what they’re doing — these are your people.

Fridge stopped cooling suddenly and I thought I’d lose everything inside. The technician showed up quickly, found the faulty component, and replaced it on the spot. Within hours, the temperature was back to normal. That kind of turnaround really matters.

The range in my kitchen stopped igniting properly, and I was concerned it might require a full replacement. Instead, the technician pinpointed a faulty ignition switch and completed the repair efficiently. It’s refreshing to see someone focus on fixing the problem rather than upselling unnecessary parts or services.

Our True commercial refrigerator stopped cooling, we own Restaurant in LIncoln Park and Dara Commercial Appliance Repair came out the same day. They diagnosed and repaired the issue fast and got our commercial fridge running like new. Reliable, professional, and great service. Definitely recommend them for commercial refrigerator repair!
