Josh was outstanding. He was in and out in 15 minutes and had my kitchen leak problem solved. He explained everything to me clearly and helped me understand why he changed the valve. Josh was our technician and he was great. He broke down what the issue could be, what the options were. He made suggestions due to the nature of our issues, and we followed what he said. I had some water backing out of the floor drain in my rental unit. I had no idea what was going on until I called Silverwood Plumbing And Rodding Inc. Josh came to the rescue with his trusty camera and was able to find the cause. He was very knowledgeable and helped me understand. He was also very professional in dealing with my tenants which I really appreciate very much.

I was having a problem with a slow draining sink and I called this company and left the details and they called me right back to let me know when they would send a tech. Once Josh got to my house, he worked efficiently and addressed all of my issues with professionalism and a positive attitude. I called Silverwood Plumbing and talked to a very nice dispatcher who confirmed that a $150.00 service charge would be assessed for same day service to change out a waterline from my refrigerator to wall and that "parts & labor" would be additional. It was calculated to be about a 3-minute job and that it would be a quick fix - furthermore I literally have the waterline replacement, but simply didn't have the tools to complete it myself - thus the call to Silverwood Plumbing.

Fast forward 1-hour - plumber calls in and asks for photos, which were happily supplied and then they confirmed $350.00 charge for labor... I doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that this is absurd considering the simplicity of this job. Either way, I went with another company who did the job same hour for $50.00 service charge.

DO NOT USE SILVERWOOD PLUMBING!!!

I called more than three plumbing companies but only Silverwood Plumbing And Rodding Inc could work on my tight schedule and on short notice. Josh was at our office last week and did a great and thorough job. Silverwood Plumbing And Rodding is now my first choice and I will always call them for any plumbing needs.Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with First Chicago Plumbing. They were able to give me an accurate quote before coming in and it was very easy to schedule an appointment. The plumber that came was very helpful and professional and explained everything he was doing. The price was reasonable especially compared to other plumbers in the area and the service was great.

The process to get an estimate is easy and done over the phone and by email. The plumbers were able to come prepared from the photos I provided during the quote phase. The job was done efficiently, cleanly, and to code. They also cleaned up well prior to leaving. From the first call through the end of the job, responsiveness and politeness were top notch. I would hire them again.

I contacted First Chicago Plumbing about a quote for replacing my old tankless water heaters. Eugene (Evgeni) came out for a free consult, and provided an insightful, objective opinion on the work to be done. They did a great job replacing the water heaters, and I'd recommend FCB to anyone looking for a plumber that provides good service at a fair price.

I hired First Chicago Plumbing to remove and install 3 new toilets and seats. They responded the fastest of any of the plumbers I reached out to and arrived exactly when planned. They worked efficiently and finished the job in a timely manner. The toilets work great and they helped clean some of the previous silicon that was attached to the floor without my knowledge.

Not a great experience. I called them because there was a leak in my basement anvto unclog a couple drains. They didn't bring the equipment needed to snake the main line, they said the leak was just the city water backing up, but then the leak happened again a few weeks later. And my bathtub drain is already clogged less than a month after they snaked it, and they won't cover the cost to snake it again/investigate if it's anything else.

I'm not giving them 1 star, because there's a chance all this is outside their control. But they came to do 2 things, and neither of them worked. Hard to trust them now.

I found these guys online because they did good reviews. I had a spigot that was leaking. They arrived on time to the appointment, replaced the spigot, and added a new shutoff valve in no time. Very happy with the work and how quickly they did it.
