These guys were good and importantly honest. They fixed my leaky faucet in a high rise. Showed up on time (important because we’re turning off water to multiple floors) and were courteous. They said it could be a valve repair ($700) or valve replacement ($2800). After some diagnosis they were able to repair the valve for $700. A lot of contractors would have taken the opportunity to up charge. So job well done.

First Chicago Plumbing are not just good at what they do, they are good people who really care about helping their customers. I am so glad I found them- they are not only the best plumbers I’ve ever worked with they are one of my favorite trade service companies I have worked with! Thank you!

Eugene and Jorge did a great job replacing my tankless water heater. They really took their time and did a top notch job. They really know the Navien products well and their response time and communication were the best of the plumbers I had bid on the project. Highly recommended.

Can't say enough good things about the guys at First Chicago Plumbing. Our house had a ton of plumbing issues and they were able to solve all of them. When we had a sewage backup emergency, they were out right away to get the problem under control. They helped us find the right solution and installed it right away. They also installed a gas line, replaced galvanized pipes, moved our washer/dryer box and did all the plumbing work for a new bathroom. They walked us through the entire project and were communicative throughout the projects. Dontas is great!

Great experience. I felt like before they showed up to fix our bathtub they were really up front about the cost range depending on what they were going to run into. The technicians did not do any additional work without our approval so the end cost was not a surprise and they left the area clean after the work was finished.

Alex did a wonderful job installing a smart toilet/bidet. Loved how efficient he was and explained everything very well. The office was easy to schedule with and prices were very fair and competitive for Chicago.

Professional work and the plumber answered all of my questions. The work involved several trips between the muddy side of the house and the basement.

I set down plastic drop cloths between the back door and basement bathroom to protect the carpets from muddy footprints. Some customers might not do that. I expect contractors who need to enter my house to come prepared with drop clothes and booties to cover their muddy shoes and to protect my carpets

The plumber caulked everything on the outter wall and cleaned up the mess and residue where the work had been done. The same family owned company did more extensive repairs for us 3 years ago. That work was also done professionally. I would not hesitate to use their service again

Service Tech Jacob S was on time, knowledgeable, professional, explained what he would be doing. He did an Excellent job! Cold weather is coming & First Chicago Plumbing is the perfect company to call to avoid any issues later. Reasonable prices!

Jacob, one of the plumbers with First Chicago Plumbing, removed a leaking faucet, installed a new one; fixed a running toilet; and hooked up our grill. He was professional, well-informed, and creative with some tricky portions of removing the old faucet. First Chicago has been working in my home for many years. Best plumbers in Chicago: honest, fair pricing, easy to book; I send them a list and photos, they quote a price and we schedule a day and time with two-hour window. They communicate very well. I will hire again. Recommended.

Very positive experience with First Chicago Plumbing to replace outside drain. I shared with them bid specs from another company - and they beat the price significantly. They were able to come out within a day and completed work. Chris and his team were careful, courteous and did a great job explaining. Even invoicing went smoothly. All around, I've got nothing but good to say regarding using First Chicago Plumbing.

I initially contacted them with a list of things that I wanted to attend to. While they were gathering the quote together, I discovered that one of the items on the list had progressed to an active leak! Thankfully, they were able to elevate the ticket and schedule Don and Kevin to come out the next day (a Saturday) and they took care of everything on the list including unforeseen issues that often arise in older construction.

It was a pleasure to have Luka in my home to fix my toilet and install a new p-trap in the kitchen. He was respectful, pleasant and thorough. George was also an excellent communicator and I appreciated the text telling me Luka was on his way. I also appreciate the electronic quote and payment process. Had them install new washer drier supply and drain. Did an excellent job. When our neighbor raised a false leak alarm post installation, they came out and inspected and take everyone through the actuals that assuaged the problem. Both the owner and the folks who work there are knowledgeable, direct, no fluff. If you value quality work and direct communication, hire them!

Luka was prompt, professional and efficient. Much better than the first company we tried. Fixed our slow draining sinks and was familiar with servicing a Navient sensor ice melt system. George was also great to work with.

Just appalling, 7 missed appointments, when they finally made it out quoted $1600 to replace a fried control board. On the day of install they told me my 4 yr old boiler was no longer made (true) and parts were no longer available. Then told me I needed to spend close to $16k for a new boiler ......ludicrous. I call the manufacturer, 2 mins later - told parts are still made and in stock. The control board is $321 and change. Another company came to check for me - said the unit is fine, control board is fine, the unit has some dirt on a sensor, cleaned it and 2 mins later the unit works no issues, no parts, no $16k replacement.

They are excellent problem-solvers for older apartment buildings with complex systems - boilers, water heaters, risers, sewers etc. and explain clearly what options for repairing or replacing are, helping us make knowledgeable decisions in keeping our properties in good shape.
