I hired ServPro after water damage to my home for what was estimated to be a 45-day project. The work ultimately extended to nearly 90 days due to repeated reconstruction failures.

Throughout the project, I experienced serious concerns, including poor workmanship and the use of improper materials. One worker brought his girlfriend to my home without authorization. After that crew was terminated by ServPro leadership, one of the removed workers later called my personal cell phone—despite never being given my number—and demanded to return to my home, raising significant safety concerns.

Additional workmanship issues included major electrical errors, including wiring that caused a light switch to control my refrigerator and dishwasher instead of the lights. These issues are only a few examples of the problems encountered.

I contacted ServPro managers Michelle and Frank V. multiple times over a 30-day period to report these concerns but did not receive a response until I escalated the matter to ServPro corporate. Once Frank V. contacted me, I was informed the wiring issues would be corrected and that quality cabinets would be provided at ServPro’s expense, which did occur.

However, I later discovered that ServPro submitted claims to my insurance company misrepresenting this corrective work as water-damage related in order to obtain additional payment.

Based on my experience, I would caution homeowners. ServPro may be effective at mitigation and demolition, but in my experience, their reconstruction services—putting the home back together—were unreliable and should be approached with extreme caution. This matter is still ongoing.

I have told my friends and family not to cut corners they need to use Servpro. They found moisture that you can't see with the naked eye.

Our water heater died suddenly one night and flooded our basement. The carpet was soaked. A relative of mine recommended Anthony and his team at SERVPRO of South Holland/Dolton/Riverdale so we called him up that night. Within minutes, Anthony responded and scheduled a time for the next day for his team to take care of us. The team was quick, efficient, friendly and professional and the price was more than fair. They arrived on time and proceeded to lift the carpet which we wanted to save, pull up the pads, move our heavy office furniture and bookcase, pull off the wall trim, treat the walls for mold and leave fans and dehumidifier to absorb remaining water. Net, net, our basement was fixed in no time with the least amount of hassle. I am super grateful for to this team and highly recommend them to others.

This company is outstanding in every aspect. Eduardo and Sinoe saved the day! Both these men and their team are miracle workers. After this Sunday’s torrential rains and sewer backup that caused flooding in my home, they took excellent care of every problem and potential problems and made my houses feel like a home again. I had checked this company reviews by the BBB and it was good ratings. However I gave them a try and they were very detailed and answered all my questions but more than that their team did a phenomenal job. Cino was very outstanding and the whole team did a great job including the ladies who was working just as hard as the guys. I was going to go with Roto Rooter but all they reviews was a 1 star but I'm so glad I chose ServPro because I'm very, very pleased and will for sure use them again if needed. Thank you ServPro of South/ South Holland for the job you completed as I wish all Restoration companies were like yours. Great Job.

Today our ServPro inspector came by to help us on a journey to fixing our basement from flood waters and Sewer back up. Sinoe Torres was very knowledgeable and informative about the work that ServPro does. Any questions we had, he was able to answer. He showed us pictures and walked us through the process. Chris and his team did and amazing job cleaning my basement after a flood from a pile that burst. Chris is super nice, professional, and knowledgeable. The team showed up right on time (I love punctual people) and ready to work. He took his time explaining everything that was going to or could take place. I had a lot of water damage and mold forming in majority of my basement. They took their time and did everything thoroughly. They were able to remove and treat all of the places with mold and they took care of my items that were salvageable. They also did a great job cleaning up behind themselves. Give Chris a raise he’s amazing!

My experience with the Servpro team has been phenomenal. After having a water damaged basement we called Servproand received very prompt attention. The rep that came to our home was manager, Ms. Khalilah Milton. We found her to be quite pleasant, knowledgeable as she took her time explaining everything to us. She was quite friendly and thorough as she evaluated our space for damage and mold and gave her suggestions as to how to proceed. We never felt like she was simply trying to make a buck, but that she genuinely cared about restoring our home. I can’t say enough how pleasant it was to work with her; it was quite a delight. Pricing seemed fair - especially compared to some of the horror stories we’d heard of with other companies. A day or so later her team arrived - also punctual, pleasant, and thorough - and put into place what she’d suggested, and they made sure we understood exactly what they were doing step by step. Thank you Ms. Khalilah Milton for such a stress free experience!!
