Reviews of local pros in DeKalb, Illinois

I moved into a house that had outdated plumbing and needed all new water lines and water heater. They got the job done in a day and my water pressure is awesome. Highly recommend them!!!!!

Great communication and quality of work. We were working with a deadline and they did not disappoint!

I'll be calling again for any future plumbing needs.

Punctual, fast, clean, honest and affordable you can't go wrong with this company! 10 out of 10 would recommend. Fixed a leak behind the wall under the sink for me.

I called Votaw at 5pm, Wade was at my house by 6pm. Very courteous, professional, fixed the problem with my sump pump within 20 minutes. I highly recommend!

A huge thank you to Roger Votaw Jr and Wade Herrald, owners of Votaw Plumbing, LLC for staying so late to fix my plumbing. Thank you for always being there for me and for the excellent work you do every time.... You guys are Rockstars!! ❤️

I called them for for help with a new dishwasher installation that Best Buy canceled last minute and although they couldn’t help me with the installation they were so nice about it and recommended someone directly and even offered to call Roger Seldal themselves to let him know we are looking for help. Excellent customer service and if I had the time to wait for their availability I would, sadly I need my new dishwasher installed as soon as possible. Thank you soooo much!!

These 2 guys were awesome. They showed up very professional did what needed to be done and kept me and my husband laughing the whole time. I will definitely be calling them back for any other plumbing issues that I may have. Also I cannot wait to use them to put in my soaking tub.😊

These guys were great! They came same day as I called and got to my sewer in great time. I highly recommend Votaw Plumbing and I will be using them in the future!

I've used Votaw three times since buying a house in DeKalb. Every time has been a great experience in which I've learned a lot about my home, been extremely well taken care of, and gotten an excellent value. I can't recommend Roger and Wade enough!

My workplace contracts with Votaw so I knew to call them when our shower stall and water heater were acting up at home; they normally don't come out to the Naperville area but made an exception; service comes first for these guys! Less than a 24 hour turn around, and they saved us thousands by identifying a simple fix for the problem. True professionals.

Needed to replace the water main shut-off valve, as the old one would not fully shut off the water to the house. While it wasn't an emergency (yet), Votaw Plumbing provided prompt, professional, and reasonable service...and it looks good too! Will use again.

I called Votaw Plumbing this morning and had a service man at me home in the afternoon for a toilet issue. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I will definitely call them for any future needs. Thank you!

Called Votaw at closing time on Friday evening, with water shut off due to major leakage, they responsed immediately and where at my home within half an hour. Extremely knowledgeable, and professional; they took care of an awkwardly placed water line leak and the water was back on in short order. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer them or call them again!

Roger and Wade showed up within a half-hour of me calling them to help solve a plumbing mystery. They determined that the cause of the leak wasn't plumbing related but had to do with my refrigerator. They didn't even charge me for their time! I'll definitely call them the next time I end up with a real plumbing issue.

We just moved to DeKalb to an old 1920s house. A pipe in our kitchen froze, cracked, and started gushing when it thawed. Votaw answered late on a Friday when nobody else in DeKalb who offers "24 hour" service would. Roger and Wade stayed late, identified the source of the leak and came back as promised the next morning to enact the repair. They showed concern for being minimally invasive and professional in making cuts to access the piping, and in cleanup. They were polite, friendly, and informative - I learned a lot about my house. A fair price for the quality of work on an emergency service call. I learned they do remodel work as well - I will definitely give them a call when the time comes.

update 2021. Called in am because we had a leaky gas valve. They came during the time frame they said, same day. Once again very responsive, and great work. Highly recommend! Very responsive. Did great work, reasonable fee considering it was an emergency. Polite and did not leave a mess. Would highly recommend and call again!

Roger and Wade are a great team. They work together efficiently to get the job done. They have performed two jobs for me and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. The pricing was great... I will never use anyone else!

Votaw Plumbing is by far the best plumbing company I have ever used. The guys are friendly yet professional, they are serious about providing exceptional service. I would highly recommend them. No complaints ever!

If we could give them 6 stars, we would. They solved a problem we’ve been struggling with for years.

We called a different plumbing service first. They were awful and acted like they didn’t want our business. They didn’t even understand the issue.

Roger and Wade are knowledgeable, professional, prompt, hard working guys. We HIGHLY recommend them.

So far I have used Votaw Plumbing twice. First time i actually had a problem with a gas line that nicor shut us down for. I called Wade and Roger told them what was going on and they came out the next day and worked their butts off and got all the work done that same day. I then called Wade today to see if they could come out because we had a backup in the kitchen sink. Wade told me that they were super busy but if that had a little time at the end of the day they would stop by. I got a call a little later and Wade said they were on the way. Wade and Roger came to the house unpacked there gear got the pipe rodded out in a matter of a few minutes and we were back and running again. At the end of the day Roger and Wade are very smart and hard workers, very versed in what they do and I will definitely be calling them for any and all plumbing needs that we have in the future. Thanks guys for the great work.

Excellent plumbing company. Very professional. I have no complaints whatsoever with these guys. New to the area, I originally contacted them for a project I needed done. I was very glad I decided to use them because they did an excellent job on the project and it was completed exactly as I had envisioned. Then, I called them again for a completely separate issue I was having. It turned out to be a minor problem which was resolved quickly and they did not charge me anything for the service call! I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the DeKalb County area in need of or searching for a residential plumber.
