Reviews of local pros in DeKalb, Illinois

My husband and I needed the services of a plumber to find and repair a second floor shower leak that was leaking into the family room below.
After looking on line for a plumber and looking through reviews we chose Votaw Plumbing.
Wade and Roger came to our rescue spending time to ensure that the leak was found and repaired.
We also had an old shower door, toilet and some vanity faucets replaced.
Wade and Roger were amazing. They were punctual, took care to explain in detail what they were going to do, left everything clean when they were finished and did all of this at a very reasonable rate.
My husband and I couldnt be more pleased.

I called Votaw Plumbing LLC because of an emergency sewer line clog. They definitely got to my home in a timely fashion and didn't leave until a section of the sewer line was replaced. I felt that they were beyond fair in pricing for a tough job in very cold conditions. Wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and would recommend them to anyone. Angie's list had them at the top of their list and that is how I found them to call.

I've known Roger Votaw for years. He's a good man with a great work ethic. Today I met his partner, Wade. Top notch guy as well. They replaced a water heater on short notice after ours suddenly died. They do a great job at a fair price. I highly recommend them. Trustworthy company!

I had a totally great experience with Votaw Plumbing. Very impressed that they arrived on time. They quickly assessed my plumbing problem and resolved the issue within only 15 minutes. I will definitely use their services for any future problems I should have.

I called Votaw Plumbing with an emergency leak at noon and they were able to come within 2 hours. They gave me instructions over the phone to stop the leak while they were on their way. Roger and Wade were very professional and called me before they arrived. They fixed the leak and told me exactly what was wrong and even showed me how to trouble shoot and fix it in the future. I can’t thank you enough for making my day so much easier. I definitely recommend these guys and will be calling them again for all of my future plumbing work. Thank you Roger and Wade!

This is long overdue. Two years ago, we added on to our house. After a less than stellar experience trying to get started with another plumber, we were looking for new contractors to take on this big job.
We found Votaw and we remain so glad we did.
Roger and Wade took the job with some hesitation. But they were amazing, patient, flexible, professional and responsive and courteous throughout.
Their ability to work with the other contractors on the job site was exemplary (not something you normally think about, but so important.)
And their work? Second to none. Top notch.
Highly recommend these guys for any plumbing work you may need, no matter the size of the job.

Called these guys up for a quote and they were much more professional than 'the other guys' right off the bat. Not only were they professional, they were timely, and efficient! I think I've found my 'go-to' guys! Highly recommend!

Votaw Plumbing responded quickly to our plumbing needs and had our hot water heater replaced in just a few hours. The serviceman, Ryan, was knowledgeable, polite, personable and easy to work with. He was even open to providing a solution to an outside faucet repair while he was here. We will definitely call them again and would highly recommend their services. Fair prices too!

Wade and Votaw Plumbing were great. They were recommended to us by the guys who installed our new soft water system and I couldn’t be happier. Wade got in touch with me right away and kept in communication. They came out, were fast, friendly, and affordable. Highly recommend and we will be using them in the future for all of our plumbing needs!

After reading all the Google reviews and researching available plumbers, I chose Votaw Plumbing. I am so happy that I found them. Their service was prompt and professional. The price was very good, too. If I need a plumber in the future, I will definitely use them again.

Roger Votaw Plumbing provided an outstanding experience. Professional, reliable, and extremely knowledgeable. The work was done efficiently, explained clearly, and completed with great care. It’s refreshing to work with someone who is honest and takes pride in their craftsmanship. I would absolutely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services.

Pete is amazing! He tackled a very complicated job with great skill, patience and professionalism. I was very impressed with his knowledge, and will definitely use G’sR Plumbing for all future needs.

John from G’s R came and immediately fixed the toilet/shower draining issues and assessed, quoted the replacing of the pipes for the kitchen/utility drain and had it fixed quickly. He showed up right on time and did great work. I highly recommend using these guys for all your plumbing needs. I manage rental properties and will be going through them exclusively.

Pete was very kind and let me know everything that I needed to know about the plumbing. He explained things thoroughly and how to prevent the problem again, but the only thing was that he came in for less then an hour and charge 2 hours of work..

I recently contacted G's R for work, this group is so friendly, from speaking with Erica to schedule the work, and Neal coming out to repair the issue. He's very good at what he does. A few other guys came out, I did not get their names. I am looking forward to working with this company. Great group of folks. I highly recommend them.

Can't say enough good things about Pete - his help in fixing a clogged pipe and looking over the plumbing of the house was a huge help. He worked quickly and efficiently and gave us tips to help avoid calling him in the future. Its nice to have a go-to plumber

He went beyond what any other plumber would of done. He could of just replaced the seal ring and been gone. He didn’t do that. He investigated and found that the whole bathroom floor was rotted out and was dangerous to use. He removed toilet and sink and vanity so contractor didn’t have to waste their time removing them. He went beyond again when he carried them both down to the basement from the second floor and screwed the door shut so no one in the house would get hurt. Pete is amazing. I’m telling everyone I know to use him.

Pete and Jake came out do clear a drain for me. They were very professional and completed quick and efficient work. They explained what was going on in a way I could understand and gave me great instruction on how to prevent a future problem! Thanks!

Pete was efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. Pete should be the bar for which all customer service should strive to meet. We will always use your company when plumbing problems arise.

Thank you for a job well done

Pete did a very thorough job today. He was pleasant, professional and explained exactly what he was doing and why. I've used G's R plumbing for many years and will continue to do so. Thank you, Pete!

Woke up with no hot water 😯, however, Pete fixed the problem right away! Since having an old heater, we went with a new one. His up front, no pressure, personable, and professional demeanor was truly appreciated. He took his time and got the job done right. Would recommend the company to friends and family.
