Ron did an excellent job diagnosing, cleaning and adjusting my Trane furnaces. He didn't mind my watching and asking questions. He voluntarily provided a lot of expert background and input. Ron is a true professional who cares about the customer and has very high standards.

Nortek come out to my new home last winter to check the furnace. They pointed out things to me that my home inspector DID NOT. That impressed me immediately. Today Nortek came out to check some things on the A/C unit. The technician, Zach, explained everything he did in layman’s terms. I am confident going into the winter season that both my furnace and A/C units are in good operating condition. I have had two great technicians. Not a coincidence. I believe this is how Nortek operates. Ethical and honest. Justin, in the main office, even called to tell me my equipment was due for service, for which I had already paid. He didn’t have to do that. That was on me. I have found one GREAT company to work with!!!

Ron came to do my A/C maintenance again. He was punctual and very efficient. But what I really appreciate is how he cares about me and my HVAC needs now and in the future. I know that I can trust them to take care of me, without taking advantage of my situation.

6 months later…Just had my HVAC maintenance check up. All is still great with the new furnace NORTEK installed a few years ago. Nice to know that I can always rely on the technicians to keep me comfortable.

I’ve had Nortek out to my home several times to service my HVAC units. I’ve always had Ron as my technician and he is polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Their scheduler in the office, Justin, is also always very polite and helpful. I will continue to use them for my HVAC needs.

We have really been blessed by Nortek. We are pleased with the furnace that they recommended. We appreciate their good customer service, willingness to help and answer questions. We are thankful to have a company that endorses Tranes.

Ron and McKenzie have been servicing my HVAC for years and I totally trust the work that they have done for me. One of the many things that I like and appreciate is that Nortek Environmental is local and a family owned and run Company.
Every time that I've called during business hours I've either spoken to Justin or his mother, but mostly Justin. I have never been unhappy with my interactions with any of the staff, whether in person or on the phone. You can't go wrong using Nortek Environmental.

Another company came in and gave a quick assessment on my AC unit to say I needed to replace everything at a very high cost. I was referred by a coworker to call Nortek and I'm still in shock at how awesome they were! They answered all of my questions, they showed me everything, and within an hour, my AC is running great! Totally reasonable cost, even less than I expected. I can't say thank you enough, you guys are fantastic!

I have been using Nortek for several years. Always professional from the office staff to the technicians. I just had a humidifier installed and they got the job done quickly. Love this family owned company.

Nortek is great for my heating and air conditioning needs. Today I had Kyle here for yearly check. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and was able to problem solve the difference in temps in my upstairs bedroom. No pushy sales but just information to think about. We have used Nortek for over 10 years. Wonderful business. Who cares about their customers! Highly recommend!

I have been using Nortek for 6 years and am extremely satisfied with the service I get. Ron is always punctual, responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I totally trust him to take care of my system and give me accurate and honest information. Justin is also very professional and very efficient. I feel like both of these men truly value me as a customer and will go out of their way to provide me the best service.

Nortek personnel went out of their way to fix our downed AC unit during the recent long ninety degree heat wave. Ron quickly diagnosed and explained the problem in a very understandable way. Jason stayed after normal closing hours to expedite ordering the necessary part for my Trane AC. When they discovered that the parts distributor sent the wrong part, Emillio went on his lunch break to Bollingbrook to get the correct one and to complete the installation when promised. Very satisfied and relieved that our AC came on right away and has been working well since then.

Great experience with Nortek installing new HVAC system in 2018. It was a smooth and easy process. We are happy with the system they recommended and love the smart thermostat! Their maintenance plan ensures our whole system stays like new. Love that this company adds a personal touch to every service call. Suppose you are looking to replace your furnace. I promise you won't be disappointed. I chose this company from the reviews I read. And every review was 100% correct. They would call and update every step of the process. The calls started coming in as soon as they were hired. When they filed for the permit, and when the furnace was expected to arrive. Just above superb in communication. They arrived on time. The communication was awesome. The workers were friendly and explained what they were going to do as they went along. And how long they would take. To do it. 5 stars +. I tried to post the photos but Google would not let me. Sorry!

08/28/2025 UPDATE - been having Nortek run my AC & Furnace tune-up for a few years now. Everybody from office staff to technicians to the owners are FANTASTIC to work with. I’d recommend them to anybody and won’t have any other technicians work on my furnace and AC.

GREAT experience with Nortek. AC went out about 9:00 at night and regular AC company couldn’t make it for 2 days. I used the Nortek website to request service. Justin called right when they opened, was professional and courteous on the phone and got a service appointment before noon same day. Ron arrived promptly and not only fixed the problem, he also explained to me what was wrong and what I could do to prevent the problem from happening again. He was more than generous with his time, and was honest with me about some prior work by another company that was a bit shoddy. You won’t find a more honest and professional HVAC company in the Chicago area. Definitely gained another lifetime customer. Just a great experience all around.

I was in a real bind with no heat for a couple months.
I called Nortek (county recommendation) and they were so professional from office staff to techs. They diagnosed the issue and repaired my furnace! It no longer runs for hours trying to heat the house! I'm so grateful for Nortek! Thank you so much!

Update - January, 2025 - Had another excellent experience with Nortek. My heating system was making a noise and, despite it being a busy time around the holidays, Justin (office manager) was able to get a technician out to my place right away. Same experience as last time... no upselling or bait-and-switch nonsense, just accurate diagnosis of the issue, timely and professional service, and fair pricing. They had to order a part and come back out to install it, all of which was scheduled and completed around the busy holiday time. My technician (Zack) was great. I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions and he happily chatted with me, answering my questions, explaining what he was doing, and giving tips and advice. If you appreciate outstanding customer service, competency, and a good price for a job well-done, you should give Nortek a try.

I just used this company for the first time (7/24) and, based on this experience, I will definitely be using them again. They were very communicative and professional on the phone, and they were even able to get me in for a repair on the same day I initially called. The technician was very friendly and, more importantly, honest. It turns out that my ac unit was loud because some of the exterior shielding just needed to be tightened down. He didn’t try to up-sell me on parts or services that I didn’t need. He arrived on time, diagnosed the issue in less than a minute, fixed it, charged me the service rate I was quoted on the phone, and left, all in about 30 minutes time. I highly recommend this company.

This company is as good as they get! We were having problems with our Nest thermostat so during the routine maintenance we asked for help from their technician Sammy! He was absolutely spectacular! Super knowledgeable, totally professional, and very personable to boot! He fixed the nest that we were muddling through for months in a matter of minutes and we couldn’t be happier! Throw in the routine maintenance plan that we signed up for that he did a spectacular job, cleaning the AC unit both inside and out, changing the filter, and being thorough from start to finish. If there was a rating higher than a 10 or ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️That technician deserves it!! Go team, Sammy!
