Constraction reviews in Niles, Illinois

We had an incredible experience with CHJ Painting & Remodeling. Their team was extremely thorough and diligent—every corner, every crevice was covered with precision. We chose a couple of dramatic, dark paint colors, and the lines were absolutely perfect, showcasing their attention to detail. The floors and paintwork make our space look brand new, and everyone who has seen it has been amazed by the transformation. The team was punctual, friendly, professional, and highly knowledgeable. We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend them!

I had an amazing experience with CHJ Painting and Remodeling. My River North, Chicago loft was totally transformed. If you are looking for an experience that offers luxury, high quality craftsmanship, interior design service and good response time when the job will be complete, look no further. The entire team never fails to impress.

We had a great experience working with Chris and his team at CHJ Painting & Remodeling. They were professional, reliable, and completed the job on time and within budget. The quality of the work was excellent, and they kept us informed throughout the process. Highly recommend for anyone looking for dependable and skilled painters/contractors!

Chris and his team installed an amazing wood feature wall in my bedroom. (See before and after pics). This is the fourth time I've hired CHJ Painting to do work for me. Previously, they gut-remodeled my master bathroom, stained and installed a gorgeous bead-board ceiling for my porch ceiling, painted my guest bedroom and expertly installed crown molding. Chris and his team are always on time, always professional, always clean and always produce finished work that dazzles! It's also worth noting that Chris is always available and easy to reach - whether by phone, text or email. I cannot recommend him and his team enough. Call Chris and let your mind be at ease, no matter what kind of project you are bidding. I will be calling Chris for my next project. No one else.

CHJ Painting and Remodeling painted several interior rooms of our house, a few of which required significant patching and repair. The crew did an excellent job -- the rooms look brand-new and we are so pleased with the results! Because CHJ also provides remodeling services, they were able to expertly handle every mini-project we requested to refresh the rooms, which included electrical and carpentry work. Chris was great to work with -- responsive and highly knowledgeable. The team was very professional and hard-working, arrived on time, and cleaned up thoroughly every day. We highly recommend CHJ and would definitely use them again.

CHJ did a great job with the work done in my home (basement refinishing and painting work). Chris was very responsive and his team did great with precision and execution. I would recommend them for your home remodeling work.

We recently had our kitchen remodeled by CHJ Painting & Remodeling, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The transformation was incredible—every detail was handled with care and precision. The entire team was not only highly professional but also incredibly friendly, making the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. I highly recommend CHJ Painting & Remodeling to anyone looking for quality workmanship and exceptional service.

CHJ, once again, knocked it out of the park with their high quality of work, painting, and careful preparation to protect the furniture, floors, and rooms not getting painted. Chris and his team are always very polite and accommodating. We trust them and know they will always give us a fair quote for their work. They will continue to be our go-to for our home improvements. Highly recommended!

We hired CHJ Painting & Remodeling for a home renovation project, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, their team demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, clear communication, and respect for our home and time. After interviewing several groups, we chose CHJ upon meeting Chris and Wojtek. We were also referred to a designer they have been working very closely with for many years, so that was a bonus for our needs and took our project to another level! Their craftsmanship is outstanding—every detail was executed with precision and care, and the quality of their work truly speaks for itself.

What really set them apart was their deep knowledge and expertise. They were able to guide us through every step of the process, offering smart solutions and creative input that improved our original vision. Most importantly, they delivered everything right on schedule, which made the experience that much smoother and stress-free.

If you're looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy team for your renovation, I highly recommend CHJ Painting & Remodeling. We’ll definitely be using them again in the future!

CHJ just completed a total do over of our 60 year old garage. Repairing, patching and sanding our walls, ceiling and doors. Change out of all electrical outlets, light switches and new LED ceiling lights. And last but not least a complete fixing of our old pock marked and chipping floor with new colored epoxy. All came out beautifully. Chris was prompt with returning my request for an estimate and very attentive throughout the entire process. His price was accurate to my needs and very fair. Chris is one of the best General managers of a team I have ever dealt with. First his crew, all fantastic!! Talented, thorough, unbelievably respectful of our property and concerns. Just all really nice guys, great job hiring and keeping this level of talent.
As I mentioned Chris was awesome, there each and every day managing and chipping in work with the crew. His attentiveness to my needs and question was appreciated. I’ve dealt with few other contractors that gave that level of connectivity. The prep installation and clean up all went flawlessly. Super happy with the job and thanks to Chris and his crew.
I would highly recommend checking them out.

Artisan Home Improvement was recommended to us initially to level our cabinets prior to installation of a granite counter top. Adrian came in and did a very good job for us with that small project. I then talked with him further about doing our backsplash in the kitchen. After comparing his quote with several others (including Home Depot and Lowes) we felt his pricing was comparable and choose him over others as we could obtain the tiles we wanted for other sources and he would install them. Adrian laser leveled the tiles and was extremely meticulous with the work and very tidy at the end of each day that the project lasted. We are extremely pleased with how the backsplash turned out and would whole heartedly recommend him to others or have him back to do other projects for us. Excellent workmanship!

Raul and Adrian did a wonderful job remodeling our guest bathroom. They are responsive and hardworking and do a beautiful job.

I had a great experience with Artisan/Adrian and his team. From the beginning, I had a very frustrating time finding anyone to install my Ikea kitchen. I had made all the measurements but was afraid it wouldn't be exactly precise. It seems no one wants to install Ikea, go figure... ha. Anyway, I had started out with a different company (a friend of a friend) and that job ended with the demo because they had literally walked in and doubled the price they had quoted me, not to mention they said they'd worked on Ikea projects but it was obvious they hadn't. So I called Artisan and was able to set up a date right away. They honored the price quote they originally gave me months ago, minus the demo, which I greatly appreciated. Great start!

There were a few snafus due to the nature of my space (a loft in an old building), but Adrian always came up with a solution to solve the problem. They were efficient and pleasant to have around. Always on time, made sure they cleaned up, and kept me in the loop regarding everything they were doing. I'm very happy with my kitchen and really appreciated the dedication and obvious attention to detail Adrian and the team provided. I highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to contact them again for any home improvement project.

Artisan completely remodeled our kitchen installing new cabinets and appliances. They did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the results. They listened to concerns and adjusted the installation as I requested and returned weeks after finishing the job to make adjustments we requested.
Adrian always promptly answers the phone and returned my calls. If you are looking for a quality remodel and a contractor you can trust then Artisan is the one to go with. I highly recommend them.

This company is the BEST!! Adrian and his team will amaze you with their professional and high-quality work. They are honest and very reliable. Adrain will communicate with you every step of the way during your renovation. Adrian and his team transformed our home in 6 months. Everything was done professionally and with complete perfection. Adrain and his team are very kind and they transformed our house into what we always dreamed it could be. From bathrooms to basements, kitchens, bedrooms, and any living space - they can do it all!! The house we now live in was built in 1976 and not much was changed since then, they knew exactly how to take a super outdated home and make it modern and beautiful. My family was so impressed with the work and I highly recommend Artisan Home Improvement!!

Artisan performs high quality work at a reasonable price, getting the project done on time. I needed to complete the project work within 30 days, and the work included minor damage on walls, one door repaired, and my whole condo painted and deep cleaned. Adrian (people call him Adi), the owner, got me scheduled within 3 weeks, despite being very busy. Once started, Adi directly worked on the project, and he and his small team completed the work within 7 days. Excellent quality, reasonably priced, and done on time. What more could anyone ask for? Getting lots of complements about the work Artisan completed, and it’s clearly increased my home value. Thank you Adi!

Adrian's team helped me removing carpet, sand, and apply coat to the hard wood floors. His team also installed laminate floor for me. Very excellent and professional work. Adrian was very responsive and helpful. He helped me how to find the right laminate floor. He was very patient and always replied quickly, even though I had a lot of fundamental questions. The floors look very nice after their work. Really great work! I would hight recommend Adrian.

I would recommend my family and friends to artisan home improvement. This company gives you great services. Adrian is a great person he is extremely friendly, caring, great at his job. He does the job the same day and then calls you back the next day to check if everything was okay. That is what you call excellent service! Don't look no where else give Artisan Home Improvement call!

I cannot recommend Adrian enough. him and his team did an amazing job with the backsplash in my kitchen. They got it done super fast. He was very responsive throughout the whole process as well. I will definitely be using him for all my future projects.

I contacted Artisan Home Improvement knowing little about the company other than it being local. I was immediately impressed with Adrian's professionalism and knowledge of the industry and chose Artisan. Ultimately, the price was on target, the schedule was maintained (despite my supply chain issues) and Cornel's craftsmanship is outstanding. In short, great company, great employees, and lives up to the Artisan name. I look forward to the next project.

We highly recommend Adrian and his team for any remodeling job! Our needs included kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, electrical, painting...and many "smaller" items. Adrian stayed mindful of the quote he gave us and willingly adjusted work as we revised our plan. We appreciated his attentiveness to details, communication, and ability/willingness to meet any and all challenges. (For example, our air conditioning went out, and he and his team did not hesitate to look into the problem). His knowledge and craftsmanship are impeccable. Beyond his work - it was a pleasure to have Adrian and his team in our home, as they are courteous, kind, respectful and a pleasure to talk with....feels like friends. We will definitely use Adrian for any and all future needs.
