I was very pleased with the level of service. Call them for a blocked kitchen sink and they came over without hesitation. Unclogged our drain and gave us helpful hints to keep it running smoothly. Would definitely recommend this company to friends and family.

Beware! this Company is neither licensed nor insured. This has been confirmed by IDPH (Illinois Department of Public Health), who oversees and regulates Plumbing Companies in IL.

We had hired A Plumber in 1 Hour Company to unclog our kitchen drain pipe. It was the first time we had done this.
During the process, it appears that a connecting PVC piece that is part of the drain, was cracked by the hard impact of the blades/cutter.

After a few months, we started noticing a damp smell in the basement (which is finished), when I noticed the ceiling was bowing in our pantry, under the extended exposure to water leakage and I immediately removed the drywall and framing, which had begun to mold. The next day I called the plumbing company. They sent the same repairman who cleaned the drain, to come back and assess the problem. Later that day I got a call from their office, telling me that the drain pipe repair would cost $460-$480, NOT including the re-framing, re-drywalling and painting.
They told me that they have a 90 day warranty (although their website says up to 4 years on ALL work and that they Stand Behind Their Work ALL the way). I then stated that regardless of the length of the warranty, the damage was done at time of the repair. The pipe did not break as a result of neglect or another cause. But rather, it took a while for the water to make its way slowly through the ceiling and be noticed. At no point we’ve had any water or moisture in the basement.

When they refused to take ownership of the problem and fix the damages, I asked them for the name of their General Liability Insurance Company. They told me that they did not have that information, but they will get back to me.
Since then, I had left them voice mails and sent them follow-up emails. They have not responded. I had then reached to IDPH, the office of Lisa Madigan and they sent them a letter to respond. I am now in contact with authorities, including IL Commerce Commission to get this Company to fix the damage (approx. $1,500-$2,500 in repairs) and hopefully to get them to stop operating, until they are fully licensed and insured.

When looking for a Plumbing Company, - do yourself a favor and ask them for proof of license and insurance before you hire. You will be glad you did.

Showed up spent about 2 minutes looking at pipes
Told us the office would call
THey called asked if we were going to do the work we asked about the estimate. “Plumber told us office would call with one”. They told us plumber was supposed to give it to us
So we went ahead told them to come do the work. Scheduled it for the next day. He wouldn’t do it while he was there
Showed up the next day to do the work. After a few minutes told my wife he wouldn’t do the work . Left. Never returned. Called the office they said the plumber won’t do the work it was to involved.
That’s why I called a plumber.becouse it was involved

If it was possible to give "0" stars I would. I have never in my life experienced such a terrible company! At 7:30pm I called them and I was told they would be at my house in 45 minutes. At 8:40, over an hour later I called and asked where they were. They told me they would get someone there immediately and would also call me in 5 minutes to confirm the driver. I waited another hour with no call back or service. I then proceeded to call repeatedly and still received no answer. I left messages (pleasant messages) and still did not receive any assistance. However, I must have been the fool to hope and wish they would come as my basement filled with water (they were supposed to replace the sump pump). So many things lost and additional costs continued to pile up. Please do not give your service to these despicable people.

These guys were at my house within an hour for a standard call. We had a line through the back yard that was clogging and flooding our yard every time we ran the washer or the kitchen sink. It was a stubborn pipe, but after 3 tries they got it.
The Tech/Supervisor Tom was really helpful. Told me what it would cost (195.50) and stuck to that price even though he was here for a very long time getting this cleared. He also gave me advice on how to fix some of the plumbing for our washer myself and gave me his number in case I had questions.
No one wants to spend A lot of $ on a plumber, But with A Plumber in 1 Hour Company We Saved…And with a 6 month warranty and the top notch service I received, it was worth it.

We hired this company to install our brand new water heater in Jan 2020. They came quickly and installed. Fast forward to 2022 we tried to sell our home and during home inspection found out we had a water leak from improper installation. Have left several messages with no return phone call. It is costing us $450 to get fixed. Truly unprofessional.

Thank you so much for your help, had lots of problems with our water and plumbing at our dealership/shop. A Plumber in 1 Hour Company took care of it right away and didn't over charge us, it was done fast and at a very good price. Very professional and fast service, will call them any time for plumber at my house or my business.

Excellent service! Had a frozen pipe that burst in recent Polat Vortex (-50 F Wind Chill). Called A P and had a plumber in my house within the hour. Fixed pipe at a very reasonable price (no gimmick emergency-fee).

Awesome service. Had a leaky toilet and water was dripping down to the first floor. Called Plumber In 1 Hour based on some Yelp reviews. Glad I did. Owner set me up and put me on a two hour or less window on a Saturday afternoon. After 1 hr and 30 mins someone showed up. As he walked in the owner called me to tell me the that his worker was there and exactly what he was going to do to fix my problem. Plumber was able to identify the problem and fix my worn out wax seal in 1 hr. When he was done the owner called me yet again to make sure that everything was completed to my satisfaction. Awesome service that is hard to find now a days. Thanks again as I found my plumber for life.

Had a great experience! My sink started leaking the same week that we had those -50 temperatures. I did not have a frozen pipe so I was calling all the plumbing companies they all told me that I was not a priority because they had too many customers who had frozen pipes. When I called Plumber In 1 Hour they listened to me and made my problem a priority even with all of the emergencies going on. They came out within the hour and Julian was great. He diagnosed the problem and told me that my faucet was broken and old and I needed to replace it. He ran out to get me a new faucet and when I called him after he had left to tell him that I wanted to upgrade from what I had he was very nice and gave me some suggestions. I decided what brand I wanted and he picked out something beautiful for me. He installed the faucet nicely and he also made sure to keep the area dry even though I did not have a lot of paper towel at my house at the time. Overall Julian was great and Plumber in 1 Hour really does what the name states as they were there within the hour. Highly Recommend!

The rudest I’ve dealt with since I lived here. I had questions on a leak. Charlie that came at first was nice. The moment I was confused on the charge for coming out he was talking down to me. Told me the company won’t do any work to fix my leak and once I wondered why the office didn’t make me aware that because it’s new shingles they won’t touch the problem which I thought that’s something that should’ve been told to me before they came out Luke sat there laughing at what I was saying. I asked for an estimate sent to my email so I could let my roofer know and he said that’s a cost because it potentially can go to court. All I wanted was a price so I can move forward with the process so that my daughter’s ceiling doesn’t leak through. Super rude never met anyone like that. I wish they would deny any of this because my family room camera has it all.

I have called upon the services of many area plumbers and have been disappointed to say the least. TMZ is the only plumbing company I would have in my home. Worked with Charlie and Todd. These guys are trustworthy, knowledgeable and care about the customers’ satisfaction. It’s nice to know that there are still people of integrity who are honest and care about doing a great job. Highly recommend !

I called them yesterday and they installed today! There service technician, Charlie, was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable.
