After having David Pavan do some work for me last year I contacted hime again for another job. The brick chimney on my house had a galvanized cap on the top of it that had rusted and then badly stained the bricks at the top of the chimney. David found a source for a stainless steel cap that would not rust and then repaired the top layers of the chimney and installed the new cap. He also identified a product to remove the rust stains from the bricks so that it was no longer unsightly. Unfortunately I did not get before and after photos but I was impressed by the difference.

Like the last time, I was completely satisfied with all aspects of his work and would highly recommend him for any masonry work. He is highly skilled, very dependable, and his price was much better than two other contractors that I had also checked with for this work. Another 5 star rating in this recent job.

I had a leak where our sun room connected to the main house that required extensive repair involving several disciplines of repair contractors (roofing, gutters, general carpentry, drywall, painting, masonry). I contacted three "A" rated masonry contractors to remove the exterior bricks in the affected area so extent of damage could be determined and repaired, and then to replace the bricks when the other repairs were completed. Part of that job would be to find a source of matching bricks since quite a few bricks on this 25 yr old house were damaged and not suitable for reuse. Two of those three contractors were not "A" rated in my opinion, one due to a much higher price than the others, and the other due to failure to respond back to questions on the quote despite repeated attempts to connect with that contractor. Pavan All Masonry was selected to do this work and displayed all the attributes of an "A++" contractor in my estimation. He responded promptly to my RFQ, explained exactly what it covered, was very willing to split the job into two time frames to allow other repair in the middle. He was excellent in communicating through out all the work - he was here when he said he would be, and called to explain if he was delayed for some reason. David Pavan, the owner, is almost compulsive about doing the work to the highest levels of quality and earning the customer's satisfaction with his work. I believe he is involved in all the jobs he undertakes in order to ensure they are completed to his high standards. He indicated that he could stain the new bricks to match the old ones if needed, but he was able to locate essentially exact matches to the old bricks by using two different sources. Based on my limited quote experience I believe his prices are very reasonable for the quality of work performed. I plan to use him on some chimney repair work later this year and most likely will not even bother to contact anyone else about doing this work. I highly recommend him without reservation.

Dave is an amazing and talented Mason. He retrofitted around this new sliding glass door where there previously wasn’t one. His experience, attention to detail, hard work and communication is above and beyond what you get from any contractors these days.

He is a true craftsman in his trade.

David did an awesome job on re-bricking our landscape wall. He was meticulous with protecting the landscape bed and surrounding grass and cleaned up the job site daily. The masonry work itself is flawless. We would highly recommend him for any masonry work needed and we plan on using him again in the near future.

Rebuild of my chimney was done very professionally! Not only added to the appearance of my house, but made it safe to enjoy my fireplace! Would recommend David for any masonry work you need done

Came on a cool , windy Saturday and took care of my bricking needs. Was polite, and cleaned up nicely. Took some time to get him here, but he came, inspected my needs (removing/ closing a dryer vent) found some old house brick I had laying around and took them back to his shop to clean and prep them for his return/install. Nice guy, good work! Would use him again.

The man is an artist. He took a lot of care for my office, treated it like it was his own house. He didn't like the initial brick that we sampled, and on his own dime he switched it out. He followed through on everything he said, including timeline. Very rare these days! Thanks!

It only took a few minutes to conversation with Dave Pavan to discover he's an extremely knowledgeable and experienced stone mason who really knows how to provide superior workmanship. Dave did an exceptional job repairing the stone corner of my home which had crumbled over the years. It's extremely rare in today's world, to discover a true craftsman like Dave that takes great pride in doing the work correctly. If you need quality, reliable, and honest workmanship by an experienced craftsman, then Dave is the person to call - and he's just a really nice person too.

Had Dave out to do work on our home today! Needed some minor work done! This is the 2nd time we’ve had him do work for us and he does not disappoint! He does great work and is a super guy! I had part of a brick wall collapse. The bricks I had were no longer in production which meant that it was going to be difficult to match.

David was able to make it look like the damage never happened. The result is much better than I had expected (see the picture to see if you can tell where the repair is). If you didn't know that the wall was repaired, you wouldn't know.

I was very impressed with David's skill and experience. He came up a good plan to recover as much of the existing brick work as he could, and he found ways to hide the fact that newer bricks had been added. Fixing an existing wall in which replacement bricks are unavailable is as much of an art as it is a science and he has it down.

He was very professional and conscientious, and he left my patio as clean as he found it. I'm extremely happy with the result.

Excellent work. Needed new bathroom vent through stone exterior of my home. Dave responded very quickly and in two days he was here. Job was done perfectly. Vent is reset into stone beautifully. Thank you, Dave.

If you’re looking for a true craftsman who does the work himself (doesn’t sell the job and then hand it off to someone else) and who will do the job right, Dave Pavan is your man. Dave rebuilt my front stoop on an historic home in Forest Hills. I'm a demanding client and I really wanted it to be right. Fortunately, Dave's standards probably exceed my own, so he made a great partner.

Plan ahead, because Dave is in high demand. He told me it would be some time before he would be able to get to my job, but I had time and I waited for him and I am really glad I did. He will absolutely be worth the wait. Can’t recommend him enough!

Pavan All Masonry has been fantastic. My chimney suffered from decades of poor workmanship and neglect. Pavan All Masonry had it completely rebuilt and better than new in no time. They were even able to reuse some old bricks to blend in with the new for an original look. I'm confident that this chimney will last another 50+ years now.

Pavan did a great job on a pond drain design that kept clogging. Dave is punctual, professional and competitive pricing doing the work as scheduled without delay. I highly recommend them for all your masonry needs.

I can't say enough positive things about Dave and his work. I had Dave replace a retaining wall between two driveways we have. He worked with our concrete contractor to get all of our work done in the correct order. He and his helper, Bishop, were always on time per the schedule and worked very efficiently. Dave even stopped by after our concrete driveway was poured and cleaned up the concrete that had splashed on the new wall. He also was happy to add another row of paver blocks after we decided the wall needed to be taller. This work required him to come back after finishing the original work. He came back the next week and added the new row in a few hours.

Our wall included one outlet and running the wiring for a lamp (which has not been replaced in the pictures). Dave worked with us to make sure the wiring was run correctly and that the outlet box was secured in the best location.

Again, I can't say enough positive things about Dave's work. It is of excellent quality. You will not be disappointed using Dave for any of your masonry work, in my opinion.

I highly recommend Pavan All Masonry. Dave Pavan was great to work with. We hired Dave to build two columns that became part of a front yard fence. He talked to us about what we wanted, discussed options for how to do it, and asked lots of questions to make sure it turned out like we wanted. He was very invested in making sure the job was done right. He was prompt not only with communication but also with completing the work.
