Plumbing reviews in Indianapolis, Indiana

I discovered that sump pump discharge drain was damaged. A technician diagnosed the problem with a drop in camera. Very Cool. I decided a new line was needed. The work was completed within a reasonable time at a fair price.

A nice company to work with!

David Zech and his team were great. Had an issue with a leaky water heater, and they fixed the problem! I was pleasantly surprised by the fair price and great customer service. Highly recommend Thorntons Plumbing!!

Thornton Plumbing helped me correct a massive plumbing problem in a basement. They arrived on time, communicated well, and completed the job properly for a reasonable amount of money. I highly recommend them.

I've had Thornton out for two jobs. Nate (the owner) came out a few years ago and repaired a leaking hot water heater feed. He did a great job, did it fast, and it hasn't been a problem in the 3 years since we had the repair done.
I just recently had Dave out to fix a leaking toilet flange (probably broken by my GC on a recent home renovation, doh). He knocked it out quickly and with no fuss, and went above and beyond by fixing a few other issues with the toilet.
All in all I'm really pleased with Thornton and will have them back for more work as we update our house. -
Whether it has been routine maintenance, installation of a tankless water heater, or repair of leaks, I can count on Thornton Plumbing to take good care of my problems. I highly recommend them. They are prompt, neat, and reasonably priced.

I use Thornton for plumbing in my own house, as well as for my business (interior design). They have always done an excellent job, whether it's installing new water heaters and softeners or changing out old faucets. I would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services.

Kitchen Sink Leak - Disposer
All Pro was "Landlord" Selected - Cannot speak to (monetary) value except that I now have a working kitchen sink disposer. Thanks, Scott. He was punctual; right on time. Courteous. Respectful. Unassuming. Experienced. Analysis was quickly completed and, after a run to obtain a replacement disposer, the trouble was quickly resolved.
- I would sure use this business again. -
Been working with Jason for 10 years now. He is always very professional and knowledgeable around all aspects of his business. He is quick to respond and does very quality work, which is hard to find on a consistent basis. Jason is the best out there and wouldn’t call anybody else!!

I have used Jason for several years anytime I need plumbing services. He is professional and an honest person. I have always been able to get appointments scheduled quickly. I like his honesty if I think something might be broken but once he looks at it and realizes it is a simple fix, he will fix it at a reasonable rate.

One of this company's service vans, with expired plates, van 51 was driving in the passing lane, not passing anyone on State Road 67 and break checked me because he thought I was too close. When I passed him he was giving me the middle finger. Very unprofessional, so I can only image the quality of work.

We recently had 3 bids from plumbers for a sewer issue. McNeely was the only one that charged for the estimate. They sent the $225 estimate bill before they sent the estimate. They should have told us when scheduling or even when they showed up that they would charge $225. Also, there is nothing on their website stating they charge for estimates.

Forced our community to get a certain water softener brand (Marlo) even though we had a brand new water softener, or they wouldn't service it. We paid them to install it. They didn't install it correctly and say they "gaurantee work" but did not end up taking responsibility for their work when things went wrong. Now they won't service the water softener they forced us to get.
Don't get cheated by "Mean Jean", who doesn't care if the public finds out about what McNeely is doing.
Multiple people in our community have been burned by them, specifically management who charges extra and does not do quality work. -
Avoid McNeely Plumbing. Especially Gene.
Our experience was extremely frustrating. Despite low advertised hourly rates, our bill included inflated hours that were only corrected after I pushed back with my own documented timestamps. That alone raised serious trust concerns.
Gene’s attitude was consistently rude and dismissive, and when issues came up, accountability was nonexistent. During a repair, they broke our faucet knob and refused to fix it at their own expense. They also insisted we purchase an expensive water softener (Marlo) just to continue servicing our unit—only for it to malfunction within 2 months. After that, Gene outright refused to service us.
We even asked for a simple statement to our HOA explaining their position—they declined. When we told Gene we were considering going public with our experience, his response was: “I don’t care.”
It’s unfortunate because the plumber (Dave) was great, but it’s clear the customer experience is driven by poor leadership. Between the billing practices, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere—whether you’re a customer or considering working there. -
