Another HVAC company (with initials PB) botched my new furnace install. I had an allergic response to the fumes it was generating. PB repeatedly inspected and found no issues. For over a month PB ignored me and said all was fine. Desperate for options, I called other companies for quotes on yet another new furnace.

When I called New Wave and explained the situation, Megan suggested having them inspect it for a second opinion rather than immediately spend on a new furnace. Because they were worried about me, Dustin from New Wave actually cut his year-end vacation short to drive over and inspect the furnace on 31 Dec, New Year's Eve. Within two hours Dustin found two major problems with the PB installation, opened a complaint file with the furnace manufacturer, and documented everything with pictures and in writing.

When I confronted PB with the evidence they reluctantly agreed to replace the furnace under warranty. But, as you might expect, PB botched the second installation as well. I was still congested, coughing, miserable, living in my office. PB never contacted me again. Good riddance.

Actually, it was Megan from New Wave who called me 13 Jan wondering how everything was going, concerned for my welfare. I explained the situation and asked them to install a new furnace. Their prices were considerably lower than quotes I received from other companies. She pulled some strings and scheduled for the next day.

14 Jan the New Wave crew arrives on time and four guys set to work on the installation. They were briefed on my situation and did everything they could to ensure I would have no more issues. They did a far more professional installation than PB. They did work and fixed problems not related to the new furnace for free. And, they did a careful clean-up before they left. Good people!

Megan at New Wave texted and called me to check on my condition again on 20 Jan. They were always in contact. I sent her the following note on 21 Jan:

Hi! Thanks for checking on me! :-)

There's still a little of the new furnace smell but I'm thinking that will be completely gone by next week. The good news is that I'm no longer congested, coughing, and hacking. I can be out and about in the house and don't need to wear a mask or respirator. Yesterday, for the first time in about 6 weeks, I sat in my den and listened to music. I was so happy I had a couple beers and fell asleep in my favorite chair. I had been living in my tiny office for so long it was a sort of celebration.

Your team did a great job for me! Dustin's diagnosis of the old furnace was thorough and professional. You scheduling the install on a moment's notice was like magic. The installers kicked some serious butt and we got along great. They not only cleaned up PB's mess but they also fixed a few things not related to the new furnace, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, a top notch crew.

I'll definitely be calling you for the AC check in the spring. Hopefully, PB didn't butcher that too.

They replaced my entire heating and ac units in 2020 for me and I have had them come out for regular maintenance since. They are always friendly and have good communication skills. They also tell you the name of the person that will be doing the service when that person is on their way.

My heat pump furnace was not keeping up with the outside low temperatures. They were able to come out address the issue with the extra mile to get it up and running the same day. They went above and beyond and we are so happy.

Recently had some work done where they inserted a flue liner in my furnace chimney stack and I was aslo having some sweating/condensation issues with my ducts that caused some mold issues. They came right out and solved both of my problems rather quickly.

We have been using New Wave for our heating/cooling needs for years. They installed our carrier system several years ago and have been out recently for repairs and maintenance. They are always kind, prompt and honest. Our furnace quit working today and they came right out. Turns out it just needed some cleaning and maintenance and now it’s up and running again. So many companies would have tried to upsell us something we didn’t actually need but New Wave has always been honest. We will continue to use them and recommend them to others!

Had a gas smell in house from dryer checkd all lines in house finding source from dryer not lines. Came out that day. Put my mind at ease Also did some repairs that weren't emergency but needed to be done warranty on parts. Service was done ptompt. Technician showed up at time promised.
