HVAC reviews in Lenexa, Kansas

We recently had a new HVAC system installed, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The sales technician Darren Smith was professional, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all of our questions. He explained the different options clearly and never pressured us, which made the decision process easy and stress-free.
On installation day, the technician Robert Hendricks who handled the work was just as impressive. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and kept everything neat and tidy throughout the process. The system was installed perfectly, and they took the time to walk us through how to use it and maintain it.
Overall, both the sales and installation teams showed great professionalism and care. We couldn’t be happier with our new system and the service provided. Highly recommend this company! -
James was very professional and genuine. I feel he was honest and very straight forward. The two techs that came out to replace my pipes were professional and very informative of what they were doing every step of the way. Definitely will use mission in the future as well as recommend them to friends and family.

We’ve needed a new AC and Furnace for years but what we had was always good enough. I’m also someone who has done most of the work on my house by myself. So trusting someone to come in and do such a huge project for a substantial amount of money was nerve-racking.
I got three estimates and one of the reasons I went with Mission was due to the professionalism of their estimate process. A man name Craig came into my house took numerous pictures spent significant time in the crawlspace, drawing and measuring exactly what they would need to do. None of the other two companies did that they looked at it and then sent me an estimate.
All three estimates were fairly comparable in amounts and what we would be getting. Mission did a little better and what they could offer in the mid range. Both Craig and the office manager were very responsive and set up our install in very short order.
The day of the installation they arrived on time and worked constantly until they were done. It took the better part of 8 to 9 hours. Then the installer took the time to show me how everything works, what changes are necessary in the winter versus the summer, and even fixed a light fixture in the crawl space that had been busted for years! I believe his name was Steven.
Everyone I interacted with at Mission was professional, courteous, honest, and seemed genuinely glad to be providing the service to me.
I would recommend them to anyone looking to have any HVAC work done. -
We worked with mission heating and cooling twice for plumbing related issues. Their technicians and sales team were very competent and professional. They came to our house really quickly. From my limited experience I would recommend them.

Mission Plumbing with Jesse was fantastic. Timely, knowledgeable and pleasant. We have used them for several things over the years and they are consistent. Thank you.

Michael and his partner were awesome.Great job, very professional, very, very polite. We'd recommend them to anybody to come into your house.
-
Antonio was fantastic, fast, friendly, knowledgeable. Pointed out areas of possible issues down the road. The sales technician: Brayden was friendly, and offered several options for improvements.

Beware of these guys. Repeated screw ups on scheduling and then they send out a technician who starts to pull out a wire and it won't come out. He then is putting a lot of force and it still won't come out but he is now determined to win. I told him to stop and not break it and he looked at me and said "I have to, it is part of the maintenance". I told him that he can't do anything that I refuse and then told him and his home adviser to get out of my house. He even started to argue about leaving and his home adviser had to tell him to button it up and they were leaving. The home advisor then apologized and agreed it was unprofessional for him to refuse my telling him to stop pulling on the wire. This technician was willing to break my furnace and then I would get a repair bill. I will never use Mission again and I work with over 33000 fellow employees and will be happy to share my story.

I called on a chilly Monday morning because our 5yr old furnace refused to light & I have an elderly parent here that is always cold anyway. Another company said Friday was the earliest they could come. MPH&C scheduled us for an "after hours" appointment & came just after 6pm. Christian, the technician, came in, got right to work & 20 minutes we had heat! The total bill was less than the other company's service call fee too! As a retired Realtor I've worked with many HVAC companies over 4 decades in the business, this was excellent service.
5 STARS! I highly recommend MPH&C & kudos to Christian too! -
Michael was great. He was very knowledgeable and immediately solved our problem. The company is also very economical and not charging an arm and a leg just to show up.

Service tech arrived on time as scheduled. The review was thorough, with positive reflections and some optional recommendations for improved service over time. Those recommendations included 30-day estimates with possible financing options.

- [ ] Do no hire Mission Plumbing, Joseph Gardner and his crew continued to tell me I had really bad plumbing to my man hole. I just had Lutz plumbing fix all of my plumbing. I did have a little back up.
- [ ] Mission plumbing continued to pressure me and went from a camera check to wanting to dig up my yard and 3 of my neighbors, price now $ 20,000.
- [ ] I called lutz plumbing and told them what was going on and they sent a guy over with a camera for free and all I had was one root that just needs
- [ ] root foam.
- [ ] I called the manager Dave Kingley of Mission plumbing and told them about his staff bulling me to sign and that I had another plumbing company come out and that they were no honest and were trying to take me for $20,000. The head boss did nothing g and did not fire the 3 fraud guys.
- [ ] Very scary and what a terrible experience with Mission plumbing.
- [ ] Do not use them! They will take you for everything! -
Josh and Antonio completed my yearly furnace maintenance. They pointed out a couple of issues and fixed it right away. I also brought up a concern that I have mentioned in the past and they found the solution to make the temperature more consistent through out the whole house!

Out of all the plumbing companies we called, Mission Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was the only company who could help us today! Marquies came to our rescue. The toilet drain was clogged. He started on the inside and then had to move to the outside. The drain was eventually cleared due to his knowledge and hard work. He was very personable and professional. Mission Plumbing is definitely our plumber of choice now!

Jonathan diagnosed the carbon monoxide leaking and had to shut furnace off when zero weather and got us a furnance in stock and Giovanni the smartest young man on a Friday put it together BY HIMSELF and got us heat! He came on Tuesday to finish the acoil for AC Tues and Kevin changed the new AC unit outside BY HIS SELF. They were wonderful.Giovanni put shark valve in too. I highly recommend all three of them. They represent the company WELL

I rarely write reviews, but we felt we needed to share our experience. My mother, who is in her 80s and a widow, had sewage backing up in the lower level of her home. Mission Plumbing, Heating and Cooling came out and diagnosed a “horrible” sewer problem that they claimed could not be fixed that day. They said the repair would cost thousands of dollars, comparable to buying a new car, and would require ripping up flooring, concrete, and part of the sidewalk. They also claimed they tried to auger the line but could not because of the sewer’s condition and charged my mother over 700 dollars for the visit. She was left without running water that day.
We called a different company, and the plumbers arrived that same evening. Within 45 minutes, they cleared the blockage, and restored running water. They said there was no indication that Mission Plumbing had seriously attempted to auger the line because it was still full of water. They were shocked by their diagnosis and charges, saying they give plumbers a bad name. The company refused to bill us for their services.
We contacted Mission Plumbing via email requesting a refund and never received a response. This was completely unethical. My mother should have at least been refunded for the supposed auger attempt. Based on our experience, I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company entirely. This was a horrible and stressful experience. Do not trust them with your home, your time, or your money. -
We needed our fridge line fixed and mission responded right away when we gave them a call. They said that they would have someone come by the same day from a 2pm-5pm window with a text or call to notify us.
A few minutes before 5pm, they finally got in touch with us and said they weren’t able to make it and if we wanted to reschedule to the next day.
All in all, what we thought started as an easy and responsive plumbing service was not that. Don’t recommend using them and not satisfied with their response. They offered nothing to make it right when we took time off to be at home for them. The only thing they offered was to schedule for the next day. Not impressed and was hoping for a better outcome. -
Unacceptable service. Called for a burst pipe on a Sunday morning. Technician came out 8 hours later, worked for 90 minutes and then said he didn't have the right tools. Said he would be back at 8AM. After calling for a status update twice (because I have no water) I was told I was scheduled for Tuesday. So I cancelled with Mission. Also they wanted $1400, the other plumbing company is fixing it now for $750. And it would be less except the Mission Plumbing technician did a hack job so now my ceiling needed to be cut open to fix it.
Charging Sunday night emergency prices for 3-day service! -
Did a great job. Showed up on time, did what we agreed, no added cost or "we need more money for XYZ" ect.
Also, never tried to upsell me on a more expensive system. I would definitely recommend and use again. Quality craftsmanship as well. The sheet metal work was outstanding.
I only got a new AC, the furnace in the pic is a few years old and was already here. -
We had a pipe freeze and called Mission on a Sunday. Pros: fast response time, courteous techs, and the issue was ultimately fixed. Everyone worked hard and was professional.
Cons: the initial tech appeared to be less experienced and spent several hours cutting drywall and attempting to heat a section of pipe that ultimately was not the problem. During this time, we were told that section of the pipe wasn’t frozen, yet work continued in that area.
After almost four hours, a second tech arrived and quickly diagnosed that the frozen pipe was actually in the basement. At that point, we were charged for the time already spent plus additional work. While we agreed to the charge in the moment, it felt frustrating to pay extra for what seemed like an initial misdiagnosis. Had the issue been identified correctly from the start, the repair likely would have been quicker and without an additional fee.
Overall, the people were nice and the problem was resolved, but the experience felt more expensive and disruptive than it should have been. -
Jesse, Nathan and Landon were very helpful and knowledgeable, extremely courteous, and punctual through this entire experience. They repaired/replaced faucets around the house and installed a water purifier/softener. I have had them return a few times since due to my own lack of understanding and they are always patient and courteous in their responses. Highly recommend!
