This is the second time I've used them to dig out roots out my main line. And it was fast efficient and the worker Aaron was very friendly. Highly recommend.

I am still trying to process the events that unfolded, and the misinformation and scare tactics this company uses.

We had a minor sewage backup in our unfinished basement. Several years ago we had a similar issue and had the drain auger, and that's kept things working until now. So, since it was the weekend, we called roto-rooter hoping to get it cleared out right away, before the backup got worse.

When the technician arrived, he initially asked to cut into our drywall as he could not get into our indoor clean out. I was able to identify that we have outside clean outs.

I was told that the tech was struggling with our lines and he needed to call in his field supervisor. The field supervisor inspected the line and informed us that our pipes are in bad shape and that we need to have a liner put in. We were also told we would have to trench our yard. All of this we could bundle for over $20k. It was suggested that we should avoid using the toilets and showers because it might back up again right away.

Red flags I have since realized,
1. They were showing me views from going in through my floor drain, and not the clean out.
2.They did not actually address the reason I called, they just used their camera to scope, but did not auger.
3.They were calling out transitions in the pipe as unusual. My second opinion said the pipes were fine
4.They did not show both clean outs.
5. They never actually provided any follow up.

The best decision I made was to get a second opinion before committing to such a large expense, even though we had to wait three days for another plumber to become available. From the second plumber it was very clear that my pipes were not collapsing. There were no major red flags. The backup that we wanted cleaned out in the first place was not addressed by roto-rooter.

It's one thing to try to sell me your product, but the methods used here went far beyond a sales pitch. I was misled about the nature of the problem. A false sense of urgency was created in an attempt to prompt a rash decision. The result was a great deal of our time wasted and three stressful days where my whole family felt unable to use the water in our house. Suffice to say I am quite angry about the experience.

Definitely a five star experience. Service reps were professional and knowledgeable about insurance. Did not leave a mess and could hardly tell where they worked. Would use them again and recommend them to others.

Very, very good. Aaron did a fantastic job. Looking forward to using him the next time. I believe he went beyond the call of duty. He's a keeper in my book.

Khari was our technician in KCMO and he handled the job and our short notice emergency very well. He was knowledgeable, gave good suggestions, gave great customer service, and worked fast.

Aaron was fantastic. He was so kind and professional. He was able to unclog our bathtub and toilet that had been stopped up for some time! I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Roto Rooter and our technician today.

Preston was very good and unclogged our toilet quickly for the price of a service call. Thru no fault of his, I waited 4 hours for them to come over even though the dispatcher/receptionist said someone would be available in 60 to 90 minutes.

Aaron came to my house and was very professional and polite. He was very good at his job and didn't want to leave until he was sure that the clog was gone. I will definitely use Roto rooter again. Thank you!

Root Rooter responded to our call ASAP on New Year’s Day. Everyone was very knowledgeable and professional. Greatly appreciated all their help identifying the problem, remediating the situation and providing assistance with insurance. Will definitely use them again for future needs.

We had a leak in our living room from an upstairs bathroom on a weekend. Called Roto Rooter, they came out and fixed the issue. We hired them to mitigate and they were efficient. The problem i have is that they never provided cost/prices (just an estimate) and said the insurance will cover it. Our insurance is only covering a portion and Roto Rooter will not come down in price so we are required to cover the rest. When i reached out to ask, they said you signed a contract. I expressed my concerns with minimal help or EXPLANATION.

Prompt service. Arrived early. Very kind, a good listener. Patient. Worked diligently to solve our plumbing issue. He did an excellent job.

Dakota was great! We found the leak and he was able to fix it within an hour. In a home with kids they were the best and fastest response we could have asked for.

Aaron was very nice and efficient. Let us know what he found and worked quickly. Was later than the company had said, but not by too much and I doubt that was his fault but instead a scheduler. Good service and would use it again.
