We am so happy with our service! Matt H. was efficient, thorough and amazing and came the same day. He was so nice and informative. We had a different company work on our HVAC system previously and got conflicting information, Matt was able to explain what the issue was and even fix a few things from the previous service. We are just so pleased and thankful!! Highly recommend!

My AC went out on a Friday evening. I wasn’t sure if anyone would pick up the call at that time but Henry did. He left dinner early to check out the issue at my house and quickly moved to a short term fix for the weekend until they could replace it on Monday. Henry was very professional, thorough and honest. My 25 year system definitely needed to be replaced. I appreciate Henry dropping everything to help out and his patience with explaining all the details. Made all the difference in my going with this company. SOCO has top notch professionals and installs top of line equipment with warranty. You’re in good hands with them.

Johnny, Sam, and Ellis did a great job with installing our new air conditioning unit. They stayed around after the install was complete just to make sure everything was running properly. I would definitely recommend these guys and the company to anyone in the market for a new unit or needing service.

Southern Comfort recently did a full system replacement with air and furnace for us. The technicians, Brandon and Andrew, were very knowledgeable and polite. Happily answered all of our questions. They had to cut into the brick to upgrade from our 22 year old system. It was a terrible day weather wise, but none of it slowed them down. They did a great job with installation and cleaning up. Would definitely recommend Southern Comfort and Brandon & Andrew.

Absolutely love these guys. They did a complete new install for heating and air for us. It’s an old house and this wasn’t an easy job. They managed to work through every obstacle this old house threw at them. Great communication. Very informative. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received.

When our air conditioning went out, Southern Comfort Heating and Cooling really came through for us. They were able to send someone out and provide a quote the same day we called. The initial technician, Greg, was knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to answer my questions (in person and via a follow-up call).

Their pricing was better than the other local companies we got quotes from, and once we chose our new unit, they scheduled the install for the very next day -- a huge relief during the summer heat! Johnny, David, and Tyler on the install team did an excellent job. Despite the extremely hot weather, they worked efficiently, were friendly and professional throughout, and left everything clean and tidy when they finished.

I can't thank this company enough for their quick and friendly service. It was a hot day, and they had a repair technician at my house within a short time to repair our air conditioning. The repair tech, Josh, was super helpful, kind, and went the extra mile to make sure everything was good to go! Very thankful to have found them! I would highly recommend them for your HVAC needs!

Henry did a great job for us. He takes the time to explain things and found our problem and fixed it very quickly within the hour. He also came on a Sunday 1 hour after our call when Fayette Heating told us they would be 5 days before we were even seen.
The owner Matt is also a good guy. He obviously has an eye for up and coming talent and kind people.

I am so glad that Mr.Henry Mackey fixed our system. He was such a professional young man and very knowledgeable. I will always keep Southern Comfort Heating and Cooling on speed dial! They fixed my problem.

The fine folks at southern comfort came to our rescue when our Air went out during the 95deg heat. I assumed the worst as our system is getting old so I asked for a quote for replacement. Josh came out the same day and saved us. we had done some remodeling and did not want to have to purchase new system just yet. he gave us a good quote to replace the system but asked if we would like him to diagnose our issue. After some head scratching he determined we had a short in the wire going to our thermostat. The lightbulb went off in my head as we had installed chair rail and base boards the day it quit working. turns out a finish nail had hit a wire to the thermostat and took us down.
Josh was great, and we are so thankful to the team there, we will use and recommend them in the future.

On July 3 Josh Paytner came to evaluate our heat pump. The cost of the repair couldn’t be justified and we decided to do a new system install. Matt, the owner, offered to install the system July 4 and that he and Josh would do it. We did not want to take them away from their families for the holiday.
We had the system installed on July 8.
Johnny and Josh Cross were the techs that did the install. They did a wonderful job and answered any questions we had.
The overall experience with Southern Comfort was great.
I would recommend Southern Comfort.

Adding to the help from the summer of 2025,
Durring the recent ice storm January 2026 noticed the outside unit was not running while the heat was on.
Found out the systems have safety features that will trip to make sure there is no damage due to the weather conditions.
Very quick responses when contacted and for the service.
Thank you Ray Austin and Henry Mackey for coming out in the cold and ice to get us taken care of.

Southern Comfort provided a reasonable price for a new furnace to be installed after our 26 year old one needed to be replaced. They were on time for installation and everything went as smoothly as possible. I highly recommend them.

Of course, in the midst of the snow and ice event we are having our hvac stopped working. Just a whirring buzz and then tripped the breaker. Matt Helgerson, owner of Southern Comfort Heating and Cooling came to our rescue! Matt spent 3 hours today and made two trips across town in the ice to get our heat back on. If you have any hvac needs, give Southern Comfort Heating and Cooling a call! Good people doing good work in what could have been a really bad time for us. Thanks Matt!

Matt H from Southern Comfort Heating & Cooling, came out today on this cold and wintry day to help with my heat pump issue! Not only are we working again he was very thorough in his diagnostic. I highly recommend them!

Our heat went out overnight. All other companies had automated systems, but Henry answered my call right away at 2:30am!! He scheduled a time and came out before any other company even called back. He immediately diagnosed the issue, explained it clearly, and fixed it quickly! We are so glad Henry was able to take care of us, we will happily recommend him and Southern Comfort Heating & Air to anyone and everyone!!
