After searching online for a reputable chimney service company, I decided to try American Chimney and Fireplace, based on their website content, customer reviews and service offerings. Right from the start, I appreciated the ease of online scheduling of the appointment. A friendly technician called the day of the appointment to announce he and an associate were on their way. Andrew and Cameron showed up on time to perform a chimney and fireplace inspection and cleaning. They were personable, professional and very knowledgeable about their business. They answered all our questions about safety and efficiency of using a wood burning fireplace in the home while performing their duties. After the service, they prepared a comprehensive report that identified everything about the condition and operation of our fireplace, as well as recommended alternatives to support safe use and care. I appreciated their thorough service performance and evaluation, all completed within the scheduled time of the appointment. American Chimney and Fireplace is as good as advertised and I highly recommend them as a trusted service provider.

American Chimney's Flue Inspection Service (for Gas Water Heater and Gas Furnace) saved my family's health. For three years after buying the house, I noticed our Carbon Dioxide (CO2) levels were extremely high during the winter and elevated during the summer. I had multiple HVAC companies come and investigate and no one suggested (or would when I asked) to inspect the flue liner and the drafting of the gas water heater and furnace up into and through our chimney. Through countless google searches, I found American Chimney was the only company advertising inspection and repair of flue liners for gas water heater/gas furnaces. The team came and inspected and pointed out obvious installation and maintenance flaws in the flue as well as telltale signs of poor drafting. Further inspection showed the flue liner was deformed and corroded to the point of failure at the top of the chimney. They quickly fit me into their schedule just as we started getting into the colder temperatures and began removing and installing a flue liner with 25 year warranty. They hit a snag from an errant brick from when the house was build in the 50's that made installation difficult, but they came back and stayed late to get the job done right. After a week of running the furnace (and water heater) my CO2 monitor shows normal levels in the house! The flue liner is properly installed with new materials and sealed properly. They also performed a draft test to confirm the byproducts of combustion were drafting and flowing correctly through the liner and out the top of the chimney. Everyone I interacted with at American Chimney was kind, professional (Bonus points for wearing boot coverings when in our house. Bonus points for flawless and efficient scheduling and reminders and payments) and understood the importance and urgency of this service and fix.

Kameron and Zach came out to inspect and clean our fireplace. We recently purchased our older home and wanted to make sure it was safe to use. After a thorough inspection of the fireplace, attic, and basement venting- several issues were found making it quite unsafe to use. Kameron explained our options in repairing it or installing a gas fireplace. With other updates needed to our home, this will probably go on the back burner- but now we know what issues there are, our options and what company we will use. i believe we the gentleman's name was Levy or Levi but his performance was subpar to say the least we expected a more careful and professional result. it was difficult to get clear updates on the progress of the cleaning, and some questions we asked went unanswered or were addressed only after multiple follow ups also the project took longer than initially estimated, which caused inconvenience for my grandparents.

My technicians, Chris and Zach were very professional, friendly and courteous. Both had excellent customer service skills and work ethic. My fireplace was vacuumed, the logs dusted and the glass was cleaned. However, there was still some residue. Chris said that was due to the windows being etched.

The technician who came was extremely friendly, professional, and very thorough. He took his time to check everything carefully, took photos, and sent me a detailed report within the hour.
