My freezer was supposed to be serviced but instead the fridge and freezer both seem to be completely not functional now. The temperate keeps rising. Worst service ever.. Do not use sears.. I have had multiple bad experiences with them.

My 35 year old GE Dryer stopped working and the motor still ran but the drum would not turn, but you could still turn the drum by hand. I figured it was more than likely a belt issue. I had a tech look at it on Monday and sure enough that's what it was. The dryer still dried the same way it did when it was first bought in 1990. The tech on Monday did not see any other underlying issues that would cause the belt to break. The belt just simply wore out from age and use. So.a new belt was ordered and it arrived in the late afternoon on Wednesday. The tech came out on Thursday to install it and the dryer now works beautifully. There was some squeaking from time to time for a while before the belt broke, but since the new belt was installed, that has since stopped. I think the squeaking was the result of the old belt beginning to reach the end of it's life.

The service tech, Paul was absolutely excellent! What was needed was a simple fix, but I didn't know that. He could've tinkered with it for a while and charged me a fortune, but honesty definitely resides within him!

I scheduled to have my refrigerator and furnace serviced. No technician showed up to service the refrigerator and I had to call twice to reschedule for the furnace. The furnace repair person showed up. He was very nice , but he said he did not get the first appointment and did not know why the refrigerator service never showed. I called to get help and was given over to an AI operator who was not able to get anything done for me. 4 days of trying and no proper service.. poor service Sears.. I have been a customer for over 20 yrs, now your AI person cannot even understand basic requests. Will not be renewing my service agreement.

The technician was very helpful, efficient, and knowledgeable. He walked me through the steps he took to determine the issue and provided me with options. He respected my house and my time.

Can’t get ahold of anyone - they rescheduled my first appointment - then no show for second appointment. Took two days off and dryer hasn’t even been looked at. Going to have to pay a technician to come out. This was supposed to be warranty work on 3 month old dryer.

My dryer first broke down on July 14, 2025. I contacted another company (PULS) for a technician to diagnose and repair the dryer. He installed a new timer which was covered by a 90-day warranty. The timer "broke" again on September 26 and has been "broken" ever since. The company dispatched a second and then a third technician to diagnose the problem, but they were told not to repair at the time of their visits. I was told that the "Guarantee Team" had to meet to discuss the two technicians reports to decide on whether they were responsible??? for performing the repair. The company never fulfilled their 90-day warranty. I contacted my credit card company who initiated a "dispute investigation" and found in my favor, returning the total cost of the first "repair" in July ($498). I contacted Sears which sent out "Scott" today, October 20. Scott diagnosed the problem as an incorrectly installed timer which also had a missing screw. He thoroughly checked out my dryer to insure that there was not another problem. He found none. After reinstalling the timer correctly and replacing the previously missing screw, he turned the dryer dial to each of the settings and let it run to insure everything was performing as it should. Not only did the other company send three incompetent technicians, but they exhibited throughout this exercise in frustration a total lack of ethics in ignoring their touted 90-day warranty. I am an 81-year-old lady with health problems, which I made them aware of, and they consistently "jerked" me around both by multiple phone calls and emails thanking me for my "patience," but displaying no intention of following through on their warranty. The second and third technician diagnosed the problem as a broken timer when it was the first technician's stupidity having incorrectly installed it in the first place. I just checked and my dryer is "humming" along beautifully, drying a load of wash that had been sitting in my machine since 9/26 which I had "rewashed" four times to prevent mold. Thank You Sears and Scott for coming to my rescue!! I should have called you for service in the first place!!!!

All in all—it took 47 days and 4 technicians to complete the repair (fridge not staying cold). The stars are not for AHS/Sears but rather the fourth tech who came out.

Submitted a claim and initially requested a local business, but after some delays, I agreed to use Sears as the servicer. The agent assured me the parts for issue described and photos submitted would be ordered in advance for a same-day repair.

After a 2.5 week wait, the first tech called the night before to confirm a 12–1p window, but a second tech showed up three hours early—and without any parts. He ordered a compressor board and fan motor from amazon and left. The first tech who called also still showed up at 2p (and without parts) saying he was unaware another tech already came.

The third tech arrived after the parts came in and explained that the fridge didn’t actually need a new fan motor, but rather fan blades. Without a functioning fan, the new compressor would overheat and be a tougher repair.

That same tech came back a fourth time to install the fan blade and the extra fan motor (since it had already been shipped), but the fan motor didn’t even work straight out of the box.

Each part took a week to arrive and a tech was scheduled one week after delivery. Hated it. The last tech was great.

Tech came 1/19/26 and left a voice mail. Said he knocked at both the front and back door. Never heard the knocks. No problem hearing another Sears tech knocking in December and January 5, 2026 as well as others. Called twice and left a voice mail. No return call and no return visit.
Cancelled the visit on 1/21. Received a text from Sears indicating that the tech would call and provide a link for a video chat.
Tech called and after I explained that the device has been performing perfectly, said that they do that sometimes. A neighbor said his truck was parked in front of the house when he called.

David was very helpful, and I had no issue with him at all. The issue I have is that even though I explained the issue and part needed prior to the service call, I was still billed 249.00 even though the part was said to be no longer available. That should have been checked prior to the service call. And I found the part in 5 minutes on line, shipped to me in 2 days. I will use another service company for future work.

Edit 2/13/26 Response from Sears asks me to contact them through either website, or phone to discuss my experience. The website offers no place to go or any options to discuss a review. The phone number again offers no options to discuss a review . Bots are a poor customer service option.

Repair man reported that there was no leak when he CLEARLY saw the standing water underneath the washer. It didn't run over onto the floor when we ran through the wash cycle but after he left I washed another load and sure enough it leaked. Check the photo
