We had an issue with our relatively new hot water heater. I thought it was defective, but Malachi our technician came out and found that there was an over-pressure issue with the main water valve. The old valve was not working properly and was causing issues. He was able to repair the problem and fix all the secondary issues as well. He was knowledgeable, professional and explained all the issues and the work he did.

I'm not sure how "fair" this review will sound, but this is our experience. We started with NICE Heating and paid for a Cadillac plan. Had 2 systems installed and the deal was "no out of pocket expenses for repairs or maintenance for 10 years." NICE showed up on a regular schedule, let us know they were coming, and maintained without fail. Michael Bonsby bought NICE and it's been nothing but problems. Took WEEKS to get someone out to fix an issue, they tried to charge us (fight #1), I literally had to find out who owned the company and hit them up on LinkdIn in order to get someone to respond to me. I know transitions are bumpy, so I held off giving a review. We ended up calling to find out when maintenance would happen and discovered they had kept a balance on the account from the repair and suspended our maintenance plan. Fight #2. They ended up coming out and doing maintenance. The repair guy took the time to explain to us that NO ONE ever gets a deal where there's no out of pocket for 10 years, which I thought was a nice bonus to their service. Tantamount to contract breach if true, but whatever. The tech isn't the one charging us. Fast forward to now, seven months later. SAME problem. I have 13 people in the house for the holiday and I have no heat. They can make it out 4 days from now. NICE would have been out same or next day. Supremely pissed this company has taken a great company that never disappointed, not once, in 4 years and turned it into the same garbage service we were sick and tired of putting up with before finding them. Guess we'll be out buying space heaters to keep the senior citizens warm over the weekend. Can't wait to fight with them over payment for a 3rd time.

Gerardo installed a new AC unit and furnace in my home. The job was labor intensive and complex. He did an awesome job, along with his partners from Michael Bonsby HVAC, Pluming & Electrical. I appreciate the professionalism and high quality service provided. Thank you, Michelle Cohen

I generally switch my regular HVAC maintenance provider around based on who offers a good deal when I have time available to be at home. This time it was Bonsby. They sent Yonas, who took care of everything efficiently and documented everything with pictures. He clearly explained what the issues with my heating and AC are, the price to replace, the timeline that it might fail in, and options for replacing the whole system. He also sent a checklist documenting all the tests he did on the system. Also, he was a very friendly guy. Recommended.

Darnell came to our house for a new boiler installation estimate. He was very professional and courteous in explaining all the options and also very thorough in his assessment of the right pieces of equipment necessary. Overall a really great experience.

Brian showed up on time, super professional. Asked plenty of questions to determine my exact needs, walked me through how it’s all work and answered all of my questions.

The quote received was far and accurate.

Originally, I thought he finished the job with no issues. But just few days later the unit started to leak. Called and reported, but they showed up they denied it and asked for more fees to fix!! Don’t trust them!!

So glad to have found Oscar and this company. I had multiple estimates and I decided to DIY. I needed help with the finish. I wish I had met him earlier because he’s the only one who understood the project and gave me a fair price. The company scheduled me Sunday night for Monday morning. Thank you!

Fantastic service, truly. It’s a terrible feeling to feel like companies are taking advantage of you to make an extra buck, which I’ve encountered far too often. I had everything explained to me well, fair pricing, and extremely kind service. Also, bravo for great communication on time windows.

Called 5 companies, none could come out today but Michael Bonsby HVAC. The young lady who answered the phone was so helpful kept me on line until she was able to find a tech to come tda. Kevin and Michael were excellent. Kevin diagnosed the problem, gave me several options. I choose one. Problem solved. Also offered the service plan, which i will consider. Can’t say enough about Darwin’s professionalism and work ethic. Very skilled in tracking down aged wiring problems hidden behind drywall. I am so pleased he came to my home!

It was such a pleasure to work with Darwin and Laquan today.

We had 3 electricians onsite over the past almost two years with no viable solutions or actions and overpriced quotes.

Both Darwin and Laquan listened to our concerns and were able to immediately provide initial feedback and propose a plan on how they were going to move forward with a reasonable quote.

Based on the information provided, their knowledge and expertise they were able to provide options to remedy the issues. Which they successfully did.

They also provided periodic feedback during their inspections so we stayed informed during each stage of their work.

John worked quietly and neatly. He gave a good explanation of the cause of our leak, and solution options (and costs). After removing the old leaking valve, he pulled it apart (at my request) to show why it was leaking. He offered to look at other similar valves in our condo to see if they needed replacing (none did, but it was a very welcome suggestion). I would be happy to have him come when we next need a plumber.

Suggestion: Better coordination regarding time of arrival at our home. Office communicated one time, John s different time.

Reliable and excellent service for more than six years when they were a much smaller company. Always prompt. I was reluctant to try this newer and biggger operation but I see that Jaffe Electric folk are alive and well at Bonsby in NW DC.

Joey and Sebastian went above and beyond with their electrical work! They arrived early and efficiently installed all the light fixtures, recessed lights, and a surge protector. Throughout the entire process, they were professional, courteous, and kept the workspace spotless. Their craftsmanship was exceptional — every cut was clean, all the fixtures were perfectly positioned and they meticulously worked to ensure everything was completed correctly. We are extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend them for any electrical project!
