The customer service and very knowledgeable! Will always recommend them to everyone. Had a new unit put in during covid and the process was long due to inventory issues, however hecox always kept me updated. Once finally install they answered all questions promptly even silly ones!

They verified and replaced a bad part on my heat pump for less than half the price I was quoted by another company. The tech who came out, Martin, was quick, courteous, and knowledgeable. He was able to easily describe what was wrong, how he was able to identify that was the root cause, and fix it in record time. Great service all around.

Eli is very responsive and goes out of his way to make sure his customers are properly maintaining their units in between his visits. I'm the person who never remembers to change a filter, and Eli helped break me of that habit without making me feel totally inept.
I especially appreciate that Eli and his team thoroughly clean up after themselves - the company we used to work with would leave a greasy, dusty mess, and I always felt like I had to spend a long time cleaning once they left. Definitely not the case with the Hecox Home Services team!

Had two other companies come out and didn't know what they were doing with the energy efficient units I had. Eli and his team came out and knew exactly what the issues were and was able to get a replacement part under warranty. Highly recommend.

Hecox gave us a next-day appointment, which was very much appreciated. The technicians diagnosed the problem and repaired it immediately. They were very pleasant and helpful, and answered any questions I had about the system. They were knowledgeable about our specific system and thermostat, which are more complicated than the average HVAC system.

I never leave negative reviews, but I found my recent experience off putting. I was a long time customer of 12 years, and prior to that this company installed the AC system in the house for the prior owners, so I think they have been working on the house for at least 30 years. My prior experience had been great with zero complaints servicing and replacing parts of our AC system. I reached out this year because my plumber installed a new combo boiler / hot water heater for my radiant heat (removing a 50+ year old, failed boiler) and the thermostat (wired / installed by Hecox at some point prior to my occupancy) was no longer working with the new boiler when the existing low voltage wiring that was connected to the old boiler was connected to the new system. When the existing low voltage wires were connected, it would turn the heat in the radiators on, despite the thermostat not calling for heat. It seemed like a simple fix in a converged low voltage panel with the AC low voltage wiring, installed by Hecox, which the plumber was not familiar with. None of the low voltage wiring installed by Hecox was moved or changed. I inquired about a service call to troubleshoot the thermostat wiring since both the boiler and AC wiring were part of this central low voltage panel. Eli promptly responded, but said he does not like to work on systems other people have worked on. I found this odd since boiler / hot water heaters are always installed by plumbers, Hecox had never worked on either of those units in this property beyond an integrated AC / boiler thermostat, and Hecox does not advertise that they replace boilers or hot water heaters on their website. Despite a lack of advertising these services or having worked on them, Eli insinuated I should have called them to install the new boiler and hot water heater, which I have never heard of an HVAC company doing (they usually work on furnaces). Eli said that he would have to, sight unseen, put together a quote to troubleshoot the thermostat wiring. I also found this odd since typically a service provider familiar with a house would be ok sending someone out on a time and material basis to troubleshoot an issue. I said ok to the quote and asked to also schedule a preventative maintenance check of our AC system while someone was out. I was told they would not be able to do that until sometime in September (it's early June) because they reserve most of their daily schedule for emergencies. Ok, but also, seems kind of odd for a long term customer to have to wait three months for an hour long visit, at most. The entire experience with Eli was rude and dismissive (even at one point telling me to "stop right there" while he lectured me about what he was willing to work on), and I left the conversation feeling like my request to re-hire the company was annoying to Eli. I have decided to move on to another company. I understand a lot of service providers in the area are in high demand, and this is the busy season for HVAC, but to have been a customer for 12 years and then be told that my service needs were inconvenient and that I couldn't be serviced for many months was just not worth the loyalty to this company. Never found someone who was so busy they could just turn customers away like this. It must be nice.

Hecox Home Service always gives superior quality service and their customer service is the best. We are relieved to have found them and plan to continue to use their business for years to come. Very satisfied with how they communicate, and execute their work. Excellent company!

Hecox Home Services is the best! They did a great job replacing our HVAC system a couple months ago. All of their staff seem very knowledgeable and experienced at what they do. We loved that they did a quality job at a reasonable price and did not push us to spend more on anything we didn’t need. More recently, Hecox came out to extend some venting for us as part of a renovation. They came out very quickly and did another excellent job and charged us a lot less than what we had expected the work would cost. Another plus is that they are a local family run business. We will be sticking with Hecox for all our HVAC needs!

Hecox installed a dual-fuel system (furnace + heat pump) for us. They were one of four companies we got quotes from, but they were the only one that clearly listened to what we wanted and gave us appropriate, easy-to-understand, options. They also answered my emails with well-written responses. Every employee who came to our house (and there were several because they installed it in stages given the recent supply chain delays) was courteous and willing to talk and answer my questions. And the new system is great so far. Overall, we had a very good experience.

UPDATE (Jan. 2023): The system had been working well. Recently the display popped up a message, "Routine maintenance recommended". I didn't really think it was necessary, but called Hecox to see if I should just reset the message or whether the system actually needed maintenance. Hecox said it was up to me, but that they were happy to come out and thet reminded me that maintenance was free for the first two years. So, they sent a tech to our house the next week. He arrived exactly on time, examined the system and confirmed that everything was in order. He was very pleasant and answered all my questions. It confirmed my earlier very positive impressions of the company.

I cannot say enough good things about these folks. They are pleasant, polite, punctual, conservative with the services they recommend. They are extremely responsive, tech-savvy, and very reasonably priced. They earned my trust through several years of great services, and they replaced our furnace last month and did an excellent job.

Hecox Home Services installed a new HVAC system for our home in September of 2020. This winter we had been having issues with the Smart thermostat communicating with the furnace unit in the basement. Because of this, we were not getting proper heating. On the service call to our home, the tech Eli, told me that the reason for the communication errors was due to electromagnetic interference due to a wiring error at the time of installation. Eli fixed the wiring and told me that Hecox would extend the warranty through to the service call and there would be no charge.
A big shout out to Eli and Hecox for owning the problem and fixing it at no cost. I call that great customer service.

This is my second time I’ve reached out to Hecox for a repair, 1st time was for an AC repair and this most recent repair was for our heating system. Hecox is responsive and does their best to get to your house and diagnose the issue as fast as possible. Eli came the next day when he said he would, fantastic! Parts were required for the repair and Eli was back at our house earlier than expected (good thing) and our system was running like new. I’ve had family use Hecox for a new HVAC system install and we all recommend Hecox whenever we can. Hecox is a family business and I believe this contributes to a good experience with professionals that care about doing quality work!

The Hecox family has been in the HVAC business for three generations. They are very competent and honest, and a pleasure to have in my home. I needed some follow up attention after the installation of a new dual fuel heat pump system. Their response was excellent. They will be my go to HVAC company from now on.
