Plumbing reviews in Washington, Maryland

Magnolia plumbing destroyed my toilet and then tried to charge me $360 FOR BREAKING MY TOILET. The plumber also left permanent scratches at the bottom of the toilet. It was new! This is the condition she left it in. It was clear before she came but my son threw a toy down the toilet. Then she tried to snake it and apparently made it worse! And scratched the bottom. DO NOT USE THIS CORRUPT COMPANY. District Capital Services came out today and fixed the toilet within 2 mins. And District Services only charged $250! I love District Capital Services. They pointed to the scratches at the bottom of the toilet and said “how long did the other plumber spend snaking the toilet?” I said “twenty minutes” and then they said “Look they damaged your toilet. They didn’t know what they were doing. It’s all scratched up.” EDITED TO ADD “BEFORE” PHOTO AND VIDEO SO YOU CAN SEE WATER WAS CLEAR AND NO SCRATCHES BEFORE THEY CAME. The company is lying in their response to this review. So awful!

DONT USE THEM!!!!! I was charged a $75 dispatching fee and the technician never showed up. They said he could not find parking. Called FH Furr and they came right out and had no issues finding parking.
Response to Magnolia Mgmt:
Thats not what happened. I was told after the Tech left that he could not find a spot. Im addition, nothing was said upfront about the dispatch fee nor parking challelenges. Like I stated above another plumber had no issue finding parking. -
These folks are great. Great communication and professionalism. Pasquale was great at figuring out a solution to the unusual problem with my filter. Am very pleased and intend to use Magnolia again. .

Magnolia Plumbing resolved my plumbing issue in my 89 year old house in 8 hours. For almost 10 days I heard remedies that were unacceptable. Ernest opened the ceiling, removed compromised drain and pipes and installed needed plumbing fixtures, tested installation, cleaned up and completed the work. Follow me and go with the old school knowledge and wisdom of plumbing, heating, and cooling.

They were responsive. The technician was good and replaced our kitchen faucet but their prices are unreasonably high. They claim they have a fixed price policy in their system. I found out that the Delta faucet installed was $250 and I was charged close to $1000 and that was after I complained. They said they gave me a discount. I checked with two other plumbers in the area and was told the average cost to replace this faucet was between $350 to $650. I contacted them to complain. Two people called and left messages repeating what was said initially which is that they have a fixed price policy. Their labor for less than an hour ended up costing me close to $750. This is too expensive!

The magnolia technician was very professional. Thorough completed the repair of the clogged toilet. There were two concerns 1) company policy is that prior to confirming appointment it is a requirement to collect credit card information including CVC numbers, account number, and expiration date
which was a bit alarming! 2) There was an issue with the $75 waiver of the service charge fee. It is still pending but I have been assured by the company. They will adjust on the billing balance and my credit card The waived charge and deduction of $75 makes the total price for the service reasonable. -
Don’t know how things went onsite with the installation at my rental home, but I was charged $624 for an Insinkerator 1/2 power garbage disposal. I have NEVER paid that much money for a disposal and I am awaiting a return call from Joe in the accounts department to explain that price. That’s ridiculous!
FOLLOW UP: Rebecca Flores contacted me and I am very happy with her professionalism and explanation of my costs. Her technician was honest and delivered above average service. They have restored my confidence in this company. Thank you goodness b/c it is hard to find a trustworthy plumber. Thank you. -
Magnolia Plumbing is super responsive, thorough, and provides excellent customer service. We needed their help with a plumbing backup and they arrived the same day we called and were quick to help us diagnose the problem. They are transparent upfront about their service pricing and provide very detailed after action reports to summarize their work. We would strongly recommend!

This was my first time using Magnolia and I found their service excellent. Demarcus - the technician - explained things really well. His work was meticulous and he cleaned up, even sweeping, after fixing my heat. The repair took longer than he anticipated and he was patient and didn’t rush the job. I’d definitely use them again.

Said they would come for and emergency repair in under an hour at 6:00 pm. Stayed in touch until 11:00 pm, when they said they were 10 minutes away. Midnight now and they never came at all.

I highly recommend Plumb Right Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. Their customer service is too notch and they are very responsive when you need them. They followed up after the service was completed just to make sure everything was ok. I would definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs.

In my 40+ years as a building contractor I've worked with dozens of plumbing contractors. Shelby and the crews at Plumb Right Plumbing have been a pleasure to work with. They are doing a great job for us on large custom addition/renovation in Georgetown. Shelby answers the phone when I call, get's the work done when he say he will, works effective to coordinate his work with the other trades, and has a great attitude. Thanks Shelby!

The manager, Brent, quoted me an upfront price of $525 to replace my garbage disposal, which included the cost of the unit (new units go for $100-200 retail). While this price seemed steep, I agreed to it due to time constraints.
During installation, the technician realized that he needed additional parts to complete the job. He informed me that he had to go to his truck to retrieve these parts, but disappeared for 45-60 minutes. The technician returned and completed the installation.
Shortly after, Brent called to collect payment and asked for my credit card number _BEFORE_ revealing the new total of $765. Brent claimed that the additional cost was due to the technician having to procure a couple fittings such as a new P trap. If you have any knowledge on home repair, you would know these parts are just a few bucks each.
Brent also claimed that the installed garbage disposal was superior because it was obtained from a parts supplier and not a retail store. However, upon inspection, I discovered that the model they installed was just a Badger which retails for around $150, while the original model I had was a Badger that retails for $140.
It's evident that Plumb Right Plumbing prioritizes quick profits at the expense of long term customers. They basically charged me $600 in labor for a $150 part that took an hour to install. They would probably be more profitable in the long run if they charged reasonable prices and gained loyal customers. -
Shelby and his team are awesome... On time, Great pricing, skills and very knowledgeable in the sewer repair and plumbing department. I called and he answered all my Questions, scheduled the next day and completed the sewer repair in no time.
Thank you Shelby and your office team :) Hopefully I don't need another plumber here for awhile, but if I do... We will be calling Plumb Right Plumbing again.
Highly Recommended. 5 star Experience - plus ....
