My hot air furnace wasn’t turning on. John spent many hours today diagnosing and replacing parts, etc. (and making several trips to the supply store) to have it back up and running. Turns out, a power surge knocked-out the majority of the furnaces’ working components, confirmed by the necessary replacement of parts in the furnaces’ sequence of operation. John was determined to restore heat today for me and my family and I cannot commend him enough for that. Prior to contacting John this morning, I received estimates from two other companies.. each of whom quoted the replacement of two parts, only - for more than double, and nearly triple the cost of Costa Heating & AC to change-out the FOUR parts that needed replacing. I cannot more highly recommend John for his service and compassion.

Being someone who performs most tasks around the house, that most people pay for, I’m extremely critical of people who I pay to do the jobs I can’t. I received a recommendation from a friend about John and he didn’t disappoint.
It’s rare these days to find someone who works as hard as John did to install a Central Air System in a 30-year-old house. There were many difficulties he had to overcome, such as floor joists that didn’t line up between the second and attic floors, unexpected pipes between floors, etc. In each instance, John was able to overcome the difficulties without sacrificing any quality of workmanship and remain on schedule. I also had a concern about attic space being eaten up by all the duct work the system required. John was able to route most of the duct work in such a manner that most of the space, in a walk-up attic, is still usable.
All in all, you’d be hard pressed to find a Central Air Company, where the salesperson, designer and installer are all the same guy. Which translates into quite a bit of savings for the customer as well as a quality installation that has kept John in business for so many years.

John Costa of Costa Heating and Air Conditioning provided an excellent service for the installation of a new replacement residential central air conditioner (condenser and evaporator coil) to my home in May 2024. I will not hesitate to recommend his HVAC services to other homeowners.

John was awesome to work with. My wife and I had our system fail during a heatwave this past summer. John had a new system up and running inside of two weeks, plus an additional wall hung unit. I would recommend John over any larger scale outfit 10/10 times.

John Costa installed a new air-conditioning system in my home. He was very professional, and explained everything to me with what would entail to get the proper heating and cooling for my home.

Based on his experience over the years, he knew exactly what to do to make things work to get me the highest efficiency for my home. At the end of the job, he went over everything with me so I could understand how my new system will operate.
