At first we had the technicians come out and take a look at our systems. The two gentlemen were very upfront and honest about the state of our HVAC system. They also took the time to explain and show us the areas of concern. Then, we were able to schedule an appointment to discuss our options for the following night. Once again we were impressed with their professionalism. To top it all off, they were able to install our furnaces, ACs and water heater the very next day! I am beyond impressed with this company and would highly recommend them for any of the services you need addressed. They have gone above and beyond with their customer service to include a thank you gift. One of the best experiences we’ve had!

Great service excellent young man did the repairs with attention to detail very kind I liked everything except the price. Your price was $125 and I was charged almost $800. I signed up for the service contract which lowered it to $740. I think this is Highway robbery but no no reflection on the service man. He was wonderful. He’s a keeper good guy

For as much money as this organization spends on marketing (billboards, mailers, etc.), you would think that they would actually want to keep the new customers they attract. Well, apparently that isn’t the case - they just cancelled an afternoon appointment on me first thing this morning.

Keep in mind that I had this appointment scheduled 2 weeks in advance – nothing crazy, just a water heater inspection + flush, but an opportunity to build a relationship and offer recommendations which leads to additional services.

They at least offered to reschedule for a later day in the week -BUT- with little regard for the fact that I took time away from my busy schedule to have a set appointment.

Needless to say, that I won’t be using their services (nor recommending them). Don’t get stuck like me, take a day off of work to accommodate, and have them cancel last minute!

EDIT: In response to the reply from the "business owner" - I directly emailed your CEO (N.E.) when this occurred and never received a reply. Instead of attempting to mitigate a negative review, you'd think someone would actually want to fix the issue (but that doesn't appear to be the case).

The staff and technicians made sure that the safety of those in my home was a number one priority. To find out that your furnace has to be turned off due to leaks is a lot to swallow in the dead of winter. GRapids Home Services made sure we stayed warm by providing space heaters and even got me on the schedule for a new finance the next day!

Cody was very professional, courteous and helpful. I would recommend Him to anyone. He recommend what needed to be replaced and suggestions for upgrades. It was a pleasure having Him taking care of our heating and air condition system.

Please DO NOT use GRapids heating and cooling. I have to replace my six-year-old furnace this year. Furnaces should last 15 years+.
They overcharged me $3000, claimed to install a high-efficiency furnace- they actually installed a baseline furnace, they selected a furnace that actually cannot be installed in my space, and did not give me any of the discounts they promised. The thermostat failed in the first 2 months. I have had to replace my circuit board and gas valve twice and do not have heat for the 2nd time this season and it is 11/10. I replaced the gas valve 2 weeks ago and it has failed already due to the condensation. The condensation is as result of improper installation and their choosing the wrong model for my space. They did not even register the warranty. They also install filters that can only be purchased through them.
The owner did nothing to rectify the situation and I spoke to the owner and sales manager directly. His answer was - we are a boutique firm, that is what we charge and would not make any remedies even though he could see I received none of the discounts.

They arrive in easily recognizable vehicles, introduce themselves and listen to the issues of concern. Gary was great at explaining what my options were and ways we could keep the costs down. He also let me know of a few concerns I should keep my eye on. They were running late because of a prior scheduled customer, but they kept me updated and stayed until the job was finished and cleaned up.

The communication was great with the company. They sent text messages for Reminders and the technician called in the morning to make sure I was ready for him to show up. Cody was very Thorough and Pleasant. I appreciated the pictures that he took of the inside of the furnace etc. so I could understand what he was seeing. You also get a big checklist of what’s going well and what you need to keep an eye on. I did replace something on the air conditioner, which increased the price a little bit, but it wasn’t a hard sell or anything

I just got out of a bad relationship with Service Professor, who wrongfully discharged me as a customer because I enforced the contract over drain clean pricing. Because I'm the one with class, I won't go into the details to shame them.

GRapids is the best service, price and system you will find in West Michigan for HVAC, electrical and plumbing. If you've had a bad experience elsewhere, give Andrew a call and let him change your mind!

We had Cody A come out and check on our water heater that's been acting up. What I appreciate about techs like Cody and the ones that we've had out previously (they did our furnace and AC previously), is they're thorough, give you options, and an honest opinion with next steps one way or the other. Definitely recommend them!

Had you guys come out to repair furnace that had problems staying lit. The technician that came out was polite ant knowledgeable. My biggest issue was locking in a hard time line on his arrival. Delayed 3 times throughout the day. I could only reach scheduling through voice mail.

The service I received from Grand Rapids Home Service was fast, and professional and might I add they do "Great Work" handy and clean up behind themselves.

Brent and Andrew were outstanding individuals and did an excellent job. They came prepared, on time and walked us through the entire plan for installation of our new boiler and hot water heater. Brent’s technical explanation and past experience gave us confidence with this major expense. Not only did they perform a topnotch installation, they remained on site throughout the lengthy start up of the new equipment, (full heat up of boiler system). They were professional, polite, and respectful. They did not rush to leave and were committed to completing a top quality service.
We cannot express how appreciative and pleased to have chosen Grapids to complete this project.

Hot water heater propane to natural gas conversion. Flames too high. They sent me a younger service guy but he seemed to know his stuff well . I have dealt with gas for over 40 years but my wife wanted second option. He was very professional and polite thank you

We have an 11 year old furnace which we have inspected each year by a different company. This year I choose Grapids to inspect our furnace. Kevin, the technician, did a thorough investigation of our furnace using a probe camera. He found cracks in our heat exchanger and a gas leak. Not sure if this would have been found by our old contractor. Thought the inspection was top notch. The inspection cost $29.00, which ended up with the purchase of a new furnace.

The care for our safety is much appreciated

Everyone that has been to our house this holiday season to help us figure out, estimate and complete our kitchen repiping has been amazing. From the office lady Rosie, to Andrew, Marshall, Conner and Ryan. You all are AMAZING and we’re so thankful!

Brandon showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. He unplugged my bathtub in minutes and had it drained quickly. I was so happy to have my tub fixed and to have Brandon here. Would use this company again.

We have been using Grapids for years and everyone there is always so kind and helpful! We will continue to use them because they are focused on helping solve the problem in a way that works for us more than just making a sale. Recently we have worked with Austin and Gary, and they were both really pleasant to work with and helpful!

We are a longtime customer and service program member. There was intermittent water leak pouring out from the humidifier, onto the water heater, furnace and onto the floor and surrounding area. It was suggested that I may have attempted to install a filter incorrectly, and inadvertently possibly causing the issue. I clarified that all maintenance had been performed by an HVAC tech.
The GRAPIDS tech was unable to find the solution to the problem after several visits. I rejected the suggestion to reschedule another visit on Sunday after church, during the Super Bowl game.
Initially, a $500+ part replacement was suggested, then determined it wasn’t needed. ( note: this was nearly the cost of a replacement unit). After two days of looking at it, the tech determined that he was unable to find a solution, so the humidifier component was shutdown, and he suggested I contact the installer of the unit for the repair.
I requested a written summary of the tech’s findings and recommendations; as of yet nothing has been provided.
So we’re starting to search for someone who can make the needed repairs.

I had a furnace inspection/tune-up and water heater flush. All went well with no issues. The tech was on time and informative. There was no pressure to upsell as the tech did have some recommendations and didn’t push after I declined. I have no other experience with Grapid, but definitely would consider them for any future work.
