If you are looking for an electrician south of the metro, look no further. I highly recommend! I was very impressed with the communication, punctuality and level of skill provided. The guys were courteous and clean. I had a ceiling fan and chandelier moved/installed on a 20 ft ceiling and a separate light fixture installed on a 12 ft ceiling (over a staircase). I could not believe how well and how quickly the work got done! Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Schlemmer Electricians for an extensive electrical upgrade, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their work. Jesse and Danny were the professionals assigned to my project, and they truly exceeded my expectations.

They upgraded my electrical panel to 200AMP and installed a 100 AMP sub-panel in my garage to support multiple high-voltage machines in my wood shop. This was no small task, as it required coordination with the utility company to shut down the power, making the job particularly challenging. Despite these hurdles, Jesse and Danny handled everything with remarkable expertise and efficiency.

One of the standout aspects of their service was their punctuality and excellent communication. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, they kept me informed every step of the way, ensuring I was comfortable with the process and aware of any developments.

We engaged Schlemmer Electricians for multiple tasks and were extremely satisfied with their professionalism, responsiveness, and excellent work. Dan and Jacob replaced a GFI, installed a security camera, and installed six can lights in the kitchen to replace an outdated fluorescent lighting fixture. All of this was accomplished with a newborn in the house. They worked efficiently and quietly to complete the jobs. I highly recommend their services and will definitely use them again. I requested an electrician visit through Schlemmer Electric's website, not expecting a quick reply (my problem was not urgent). I was very pleased to get a call from Shawn the next day, and he and Ben were able to stop by that same day and diagnose my problem (bad drivers for LED strip lighting). They needed to order a part and promised they'd be out as soon as it came in, which they did. Problem fixed! Nice guys, quality work, reasonable price--I'll never call anyone else for electrical help in my home. Strong recommendation!

Honest review from a local. The owner responded very promptly, walked me through what to expect. A 2 man crew was here 3 days later (I had no rush for service). I was worried about going over initial hour cost and just wanted a good job done on my ceiling fan installation. The fan is perfect, and they did 3 other jobs in the time and had no thought of charging more.

dan was great! we had a branch fall on our power line and it ripped our mast down. dan was able to come first thing in the morning and work with excel in ensuring our power got back up. he secured the mast very well and there was no issues! very pleased and recommended them for all your electrical needs!

I called for help getting a smart thermostat installed. The technician who came over was very nice and professional, but it was “policy” that he do a whole house checkup first (this took much longer than I was banking on) and “policy” that he call a higher up to get advice multiple times and “policy” that they pitch a bunch of other fixes to me before even discussing the one service I thought I was purchasing. When I finally got the price for the thermostat install, it was super high — well out of the range I had seen online.

I declined all services, then they suddenly were able to throw in the thermostat installation for free. I feel like the work he did was good, but it’s only half done and I need to call to schedule the vent cleaning. I’m nervous about leaving this negative review before I’ve received all of what I paid for, but they keep texting me about it.

tl;dr I did not enjoy the bait-and-switch or the high pressure sales tactics. I eventually brought this one service from them, but I won’t be signing up for their monthly plan or calling upon them for HVAC services in the future.

The technician that visited our home was named Mike L. His customer service was outstanding. He established himself as a professional by presenting courtesy in his greeting, sharing with me the service that would be imparted, and educating me with the issues that were at hand. At no time was I rushed, pressured, or felt misled. I would describe him as genuine and sincere in his manner and conduct. His arrival was prompt and as scheduled. My complete experience was excellent. Today I was treated respectfully, I was educated and gifted with understanding, and a lifelong HVAC provider. Thank you Mike L.

Customer service is very friendly. I am however disappointed in the lack of communication about when they will arrive and when they are running late. The first day the tech was on time and great to work with. The second day we where scheduled to have a supervisor. 45 after my arrival window past and I hadn't heard anything I had to call the company to find out he was running late. It was 3 hours later that I finally heard from supervisor. I rescheduled the supervisor to come the next day and he arrived within the arrival window. The supervisor was very nice and explained well the situation. I would have given more stars but feel the company fell very short not having someone contact me with updates. I call or even a text to let me know they where running late would have prevented the fewer stars. If I may make a suggestion I would highly suggest having techs and supervisors call or text with updates. Especially if the arrival window has already past. Other then that the tech supervisor and the crew that installed the new furnace did a great job.

Service Today! got to my place right on time and Chuck was very personable. He did an outstanding job of educating me on my current furnace and AC units. We have been without an AC for a week so we needed someone good to guide us through the replacement process and Chuck did exactly that. He gave us some great options in regard to pricing. Highly recommend these guys, very reputable and very personable.

First off, they scheduled me almost immediately, which was important as I had a modest degree of urgency considering another home improvement project. I had one plumbing issue, to install a turnoff valve for the water line going to my refrigerator. Ryan Johnson from Service Today was exceptional in identifying the issue and also discovering that I was using soft water for the fridge, which made the ice cloudy and icky. So, he saved me having to get a water purification system. Also, while we were wrapping up, one of my toilets started to leak. He quickly fixed it and helped me in the process of getting a new toilet. Very positive experience. Highly recommend Service Today!

PROCEED WITH CAUTION IF HIRING THIS BUSINESS!! I recently called them to install 2 new ceiling fans in my house. When I called I let them know that these were new installs and they would need to cut a hole in the ceiling. They said that’s no problem and scheduled me for service between 2 and 5 a couple of days later. The day of the install I waited and waited and at around 4:30 I got a call saying they were stuck at another job and couldn’t make it that day but scheduled for the next day at the same time (between 2 and 5). I told them again that it would be a new install and they again said no problem. The next day the service tech arrived with NO TOOLS only a small briefcase and an iPad. When he arrived told him about the ceiling fans and cutting a whole in the ceiling. He spent the next hour checking every outlet in my house for “drop” and then “presented” his findings to me and tried to sell me a service plan. After his presentation I asked him when he was going to install the ceiling fans and he told me that he didn’t have time because it takes 8 hours to install 2 ceiling fans. When I told him that they were supposed to have shown up the day before he started apologizing and saying there were big communication problems in the company. He could sense my frustration and anger and asked if I wanted an estimate. I told him he could give me an estimate and I would decide if I was going to use the company. I was SHOCKED when I saw the estimate. The estimate he gave me was $4000. Before he left, he made sure to charge me the service fee (even though he didn’t service anything). Needless to say I did NOT use them for my ceiling fan install. I called another company that installed the two ceiling fans in 4 hours and cost me about $600. I saved $3400 and will NEVER call this company again. I encourage you to be very cautious before hiring them for your job.

This is the second time that I've used Service Today, but the first time I've used them for plumbing. During the recent cold snap, the floor drain in my laundry room backed up and left 2 inches of water and sludge in my basement. I first contacted a plumbing service that I had used in the past and had a warranty with, only to find out that they no longer had anyone on staff who could snake a floor drain...a plumbing service that couldn't snake a drain!! I then quickly called Service Today because I had such a great experience with them when I was having electrical problems. Much like before, they were able to get me scheduled pretty quickly, they sent a reminder the day of my appointment, and called me when they were 30 minutes away. Garvin, who was the plumber that came to my home was beyond fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and very thorough. After assessing the situation and listening to my concerns, we were able to come up with a plan of action that would take care of my immediate problem and that I would be able to afford. After this second encounter with Service Today, I am convinced that they will be my "go to" company for ANY future home repairs. A very special thank you to Garvin, who was able to take care of my plumbing issues and put my mind at ease, while also following all COVID protocol and leaving the affected area much cleaner than it was before he arrived.

One of their technicians came out to give us an estimate on adding a new outlet. He appeared to have to follow a protocol unrelated to what we were asking for. He tested outlets around the house, then put someone from the office on speaker phone to try to sell additional services. This was annoying, and a total waste of my time in my work day. Rather than having an efficient visit for the technician to gather the information needed to write the estimate for the work, he had to go around and test unrelated outlets and make me sit through a fear-mongering sales call, adding 15-20 minutes to the visit. Their estimate came in $500 higher than the other estimate we've received so far. I will NOT bother with this company again. The technician was courteous, but clearly made to follow a protocol that does no favors to the customer.

John was very prompt at coming to my home. He performed the job I needed with the cost expected. He was very engaging and made sure all questions were answered. I would recommend over and over again. He had scheduled today appointment for an electrician. Perfect for John.

Tried using them again. The second person I used for electric fan install. They quoted me $5k and the person that could do the job didn't want to do the job on the spot because they 'did their time'.

After that going from best to worst service. I will no longer use them. I did manage to follow the communication process for rating them afterwards, which gives the prompt of getting a call back from management and I never received a call back. I assume they don't care and don't want my business.

I just got an estimate for HVAC duct cleaning from them so far! The technician arrived on time having given me a half an hour heads up which I very much appreciated! He was very professional and put shoe covers on before entering my home as it was snowing outside. He evaluated everything and then thoroughly reviewed all information with me and then followed up with an estimate detailing what exactly their service provide. I am very pleased with the whole process! On a side note, I am a new home owner and really have no idea how much a service like this should cost. I balked at the $79.95 price to come out and give me an estimate. They waived the fee for me!
