We needed some wiring run across our finished basement to accommodate a kiln. At first I wanted to do it myself. But the complexity of the codes, the expertise required and the fact that i didn't want to get hurt and or die moved me in another direction. I spent a long time trying to find out which googled electrician to work with, making a few phone calls and sending some emails. It was very clear very quickly that Brent at Electric Today would be the best fit. I know NOTHING about electrical (it's basically another language) and Brent was able to translate what i was asking and start a plan for what needed to be done over the phone, and I didn't feel like an idiot. Brent was approachable, helped me understand what needed to happen, and honest. I never felt dumb asking questions and he spent a lot of time helping me figure out what I wanted/ needed and how it could be done. He was on time, respectful and courteous in our home. And beyond all this, he did a fantastic job. I'll for sure call Electric Today and Brent for any electrical needs moving forward.

We hired Electric Today for full conversion of our old fuse box to circuit breaker. Price was comparable to other estimates we received but we had the best customer service with Brent. He was fast, reliable and on time. He explained exactly what we needed without any upselling of repairs we didn’t need- we liked that we were supporting a smaller business with a great reputation- 10/10 recommend to anyone in need of an electrician

They did a perfectly acceptable job and did it as professionally and inexpensively as possible. The reason for the lost star, a month after the installtion, we receive word we need to schedule a final inspection with a city approved inspector. The inspector said that the contractor, sherman electric, really should have scheduled the inspection right after the installation.

When we first moved here, I had a couple different jobs priced out by several electricians and Sherman Electric had the best rates each time, so now I just quit pricing around and call them right away. I have been happy with each electrician that has come and helped us. They are always friendly and very knowledgeable. I just trust them, and at the end of the day that's what matters most to me.

Sherman Electric did an outstanding job installing an EV charger. They were extremely polite and professional. I had it installed in my finished garage, the circuit breaker is on one side and the charger on the other. They installed conduit and the lines are extremely clean and well done. Would highly recommend this company if you are considering signing up for Xcel’s EV charging program.

My rating is not based on work performed. They may be great at what they do. However, they couldn’t find a way to fit my exterior light replacement into their schedule. I initially reached out in early June and was told they would likely be able to help me in a couple of weeks. Nope. After my follow up, they then felt maybe they could get to me in mid July, which would be about 70-75 days after my initial contact. They only seem to be interested in larger projects and not smaller ones like my light replacement. Funny thing is we actually have multiple other items we were hoping to discuss with them after the light replacement was completed.

I needed some work done on my rental property. I called Sherman and they were able to come out in just two days later. Shane was prompt, professional and honest. I ended up having him do a bit more than what was originally planned for. He was quick and efficient, yet took time to explain. They are reasonably priced and I highly recommend Sherman Electric! Sherman electric is the most trustworthy electrician in the twin cities. I’m finishing my garage as a DIY project and needed someone to run electrical to it. Nobody else would touch the project because it was going to be too out of the ordinary for them. The entire team at Sherman electric was interested in my project and executed it perfectly, I now can have car chargers and a mini split to finish off the space. Price was similar if not less than competitors. Thank you Sherman Electric!

Contacted them about getting an EV charging station installed in our attached garage. Their staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and had lots of useful pointers and suggestions about what we'd need. We ended up not needing this work done after all, but given the amazing customer service they'll definitely be our first stop for any future electrical work needs!
