They were my second estimate and he found a flashing issue that was not identified by the first inspecting company. Good pictures and verbal explanations of what was needed.

We had water coming in through some cracks in our chimney during a really bad storm. Erik was able to make it out to our home the same day we were experiencing an issue and give us peace of mind that it was a simple repair and we weren't experiencing larger problems with our roof. He even came back the next day to place a tarp over the stack to prevent further water intrusion until repairs were able to be made. I have nothing but the best to say about the team at Chimney Medic and would recommend them to friends and family.

Erik came out to inspect my chimney and help determine a plan to stop a small amount of water entering my basement near the fireplace. He arrived on time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He inspected the chimney and he recommended a newer design chimney cap. Part is on order and we are pretty sure this will take care of the problem.

After a heavy and windy rain, I noticed some water drops hitting the damper inside our fireplace. My inspection found some light dampness along with some accumulation of cobwebs and bird feathers. We’ve lived here 20 years and never used the fireplace or had it checked. It was a “spin of the wheel” on who to call or use.
Driving home the next day, I was at a stoplight when a nice clean van pulled up next to me with big letters: CHIMNEY MEDIC. Yes, it was my sign on who to call.
I called and the appointment was made for the next day. Erik (the lead technician) arrived promptly at 11:00am. He listened to my concerns, explained what the problem could be and got to work. He thoroughly inspected the fireplace, the flue (inside and out), got up on the roof to remove and inspect the chimney cap also taking photos to show us everything he found. Erik determined we had no problems and no heavy debris in the flue. He determined the water drops were caused by the heavy wind and rain and is sometimes the case. After the inspection, no repairs needed.
We can’t say enough good things about this company. From the call to make the appointment with the courteous lady on the phone to the professional, knowledgeable and polite Erik, they were a pleasure to deal with.
