We used AFC after purchasing a Lennox unit from Lowe's (this means they pick the company). Lese than 3 years later we have a bad coil which needs replaced. They only offer 1 year guarantee & didn't register our unit cutting the manufacturer's warranty from 10 years to 5 years. Do your research first, go with a company that stands behind their work for more than a year. When I called both times first to see if they could come out and again when I knew what was wrong the people on the phone could careless. They just want money don't care about quality of service or the customer. I'm so disappointed!!!

Left a message the Tuesday before Thanksgiving weekend on their phone in the middle of the night that we didn't have any heat. They called me @ 8am, were at the house by 10:30 am and had it all fixed by 11am! Very responsive and they do what they say they're going to do!

I had 6 estimates and AFC Heating and Cooling had the best price to replace my 35 year old furnace and air conditioning system. I called AFC to set up an in home consultation. Ron Kuhl showed up right on time. His visit took approximately 30 minutes. Ron is a straight shooter, no high pressure sales tacticts. He listened to my concerns and expectations. He then wrote up a proposal with 3 system options and left it with me to think about, once again no pressure. He even gave me his cell number and told me I could call him anytime. For my 2400 square foot home I chose the Lennox 16 seer, 110,000 BTU, 3.5 ton system and added a whole home Honeywell humidifier for much less than other companies wanted for their 13 seer systems minus humidifier. I am also going to receive from Evergy a $400.00 rebate on the 16 seer system, which Ron takes care of the mail in rebate process so all I have to do is wait for the check to arrive. It gets better! On install day, once again right on time. The two installers, Colton and Jessie, could not have been nicer. Both very personable and professional. To replace my system took about 5 hours. What a nice job they did!!! It looks as nice as it functions. True professionals. Ron even showed up during the installation. I could have not been more impressed. Colton and Jessie cleaned up after the install and removed my old system and boxes. You would never know that they were here. After the installation was complete, I was instructed on how to use and set the humidifier. I have a Honeywell Lyric wifi thermostat which works flawlessly with the Lennox system. Due to it being October, I have had the chance to run both the furnace and air conditioner. What a difference a new system makes compared to the 35 year old Trane system. It blows harder, runs less and is very quiet. It's doing a great job. I highly recommend AFC Heating and Cooling. I am so glad I found them. Don't hesitate to call them. You will be glad you did. Had a warranty repair needed on my AC unit. The techs were timely and resolved the issue by the next day (waiting on a part). There was a misunderstanding about the cost, so I recommend getting any quotes in writing to avoid any confusion. However, the owner was very responsive and cleared everything up quickly.

Our AC lines became frozen last night and the unit stopped cooling. I called AFC at 7:00 AM and they had someone at our home with a few hours, which is great considering it is the middle of August when they are the busiest. The technician did a great job of getting to the root of the problem and getting it fixed within 1 hour. Although no AC repairs are cheap, I felt as though AFC's prices were reasonable.
We will probably replace our HVAC next year and will call AFC.

(Over charged) told me my ignition module was bad because the light wasn't on and it would be $340 for the part and $60 to install it. Part is only $130 and a 5 minute fix. But that wasn't even the problem, the module was fine. The technician said he wasn't familiar with my unit, charged me $155 bucks to look at it and still didnt fix it. Nice guy but didnt seem real knowledgeable. A&D heating and cooling was way better.

I just have to say how impressed I am with AFC. Seriously.

My AC/Furnace stopped working after a fierce thunderstorm. I called AFC since they were the ones who installed my furnace. They arrived in 20 minutes, diagnosed and fixed the problem, and said: "No charge! You're still under warranty! Have a great day!" Our AC began working immediately. No stress. No worries. It just works.

Our air went out this morning so we called AFC. We weren't expecting anyone to be available to come out same day. Lisa let us know that she would put us down for any cancellations and if not, someone would be able to come out tomorrow. Within about an hour she called back and within 15 minutes Dennis arrived. We can't thank you enough for your great service and getting our air back on quickly! Highly recommend AFC!

AFC is such a fair and honest company and I will never use another hvac company again. I had three different companies come out to diagnose what was wrong with my system after my heating system wasn’t working. Bob Hamilton and another large company in Lee’s summit quoted me for two different parts that were going to be around $800-$900 each and was told my seven year old unit was on its last leg and wanted to sell me a new system. AFC came out and found that my pipe that drains condensation had build up not allowing the condensation to drain and fixed the problem in 5 minutes with no additional charge. Had I listened to the other companies I could have wasted thousands of dollars for something that AFC did for free and in no time. Bottom line if you want fair service go to AFC.

AFC has been wonderful. My father in law recommended them after we struggled with another local company. AFC was at our house within an hour and provided expert service. Dan was the serviceman who assisted us and I will be requesting him in the future. He’s the man.

Had my furnace trip the breaker overnight, woke up to a 61 degree house with a 6 month old baby. I flipped the breaker back on and heard a loud pop in the furnace and had some sparks fly! It's a 25 year old Lennox so I expected the worst. I called AFC and within a couple hours we had a service tech on site and 20 minutes later he installed a new board and had my heat back on! Very grateful for the service, thank you! Very professional and timely, highly recommend.

Will never use anyone but AFC again. Called them on one of the hottest days of the year for my 89 yr old mother. Where in and out with the A/C fixed in less than 30 mins! Service pro was great to work with! Definitely recommend this company!!

they have been trying to fix our system and have had multiple trips out. we have called many times and been trying to schedule them to repair a part that had been ordered since spring 2016 (now dec) and no one had ever called us back they were very rude. i had called over the summer and fall trying to figure out when it would be in. Finally in early November i called and it was received it and they said they would call 2 different times to set a date. Now the finally called yesterday (12/20) to try to come out same day but i couldn't leave work on such short notice and had previously scheduled meetings. the owner even got on the phone accused today after trying to coordinate schedules of being rude and even accused us of not paying our bill which is entirely incorrect. we have always paid cash/check every time they have left our house and have been trying to get done what their employees have promised they would fix. i have the canceled checks to prove it. They stated we hadn't paid in invoice from a repair in august but we were told that would be added to our bill when the ordered part was installed and another job would be completed so we were waiting on the part to be installed. i believe he jumped to conclusions before they knew all the information or else those things wouldn't have been said. John that works there is very nice and knowledgeable but i wouldn't state that about the other repair guys. we paid one trip charge early one because they stated our batteries were dead in a thermostat which was making our zone not kick on/open up which is ridiculous. when we questioned it they stated it would get credited to our final bill but today they acted like i was lying about it. doesn't matter as i won't be doing business again but thought others might want to know about our experience.

I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone looking for a new Furnace or A/C System. AFC is one of the most honest companies I've dealt with since living in Leawood, KS (I've lived here 1 year now and have found a lot of companies like to apply the 'Leawood Premium' to all sorts of house projects and other services). Matt was extremely professional and up-front about pricing and the various replacement options. He even offered a courtesy visit the following day to inspect 1 of my 3 furnaces that was having issues. AFC's pricing came in about 40% lower than another company I had out (OP Heating and Cooling) and they didn't try to over-sell me on more expensive units, service contracts, etc. They had a crew out the following day to install the new furnace, and the guys were extremely professional. I bought my furnace from AFC Heating and Cooling in the year 2013, and now it's 2024, and it's still runs great, never had any problems with the furnace at all; this is the number one store to go to.

AFC Heating and Cooling should be the only place you call for HVAC work. Their communication is top notch and their employees are friendly, knowledgeable and do great quality work. I've used AFC twice this year and would not hesitate to call them again. They've easily earned a 5 star review from me and cannot recommend them highly enough.

My sweethearts house was hit by lightning, and we had several HVAC companies out that told us the lightning destroyed the entire system. Something didn't sit well with us, so we called AFC Heating and cooling. Jeremy came out and went through the entire system, and it was determined that we had very little damage and that he would have it up and running in no time. That's exactly what he did, and he saved us over $9000.00 by being honest and thorough. I will never call any other company for HVAC work again.

AFC just installed Mitsubishi Mini-split systems in our garages and it went flawlessly. Installers were professional and knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Matt S designed the systems and put it all together and work was done as he promised and actually better than we expected or were used too.

So refreshing to work with quality minded people who are responsible and don't mind working hard to get the job done.

AFC recently installed a new coil in our AC unit. They responded the same day I called in spite of it being early afternoon. A technician came by, diagnosed and found the leaky coil in less that 10 minutes. He installed refrigerant to keep us cool for the couple of days it would take to order and receive the part needed. My the way, the refrigerant was priced at a much more reasonable cost than other we have dealt with. The installation work was scheduled and completed professionally and our system is working properly. I would highly recommend AFC for all of your HVAC needs.
