Our AC stopped working this last summer and we started looking to replace it. Unfortunately it ran on R22 so we needed to also replace our furnace. We had estimates from Anthony Plumbing Heating and Cooling, M.D. Repair and A.B. May. The price for each company was outrageous. And after just replacing our roof and siding we just couldn’t afford that much more to finance. To be honest we were also very skeptical about using any contractors for future house repairs or upgrades because of our not-so-good experiences on the roof and siding. So all in all it was a very stressful time. Our in-laws pointed us to AFC in Lee’s Summit. I gave them a call and answered a few questions about our unit. They provided a price that was nowhere near what the other companies had quoted. They fit us in within a few weeks for an AC/Heat pump and furnace replacement. (During a peak time as it was the first few weeks of summer and everyone needed repairs). The guys that did the install were very nice and took care with everything they did. I appreciate how normal, down to earth, caring and thoughtful every employee was with us. They truly treated us as people and not just a price tag. It was a refreshing experience after our not-so-good experience with our roof and siding in the spring. We are happy with our new unit, AC and furnace both run smoothly and are very efficient.
My ONLY regret is not leaving a good review sooner. I just don’t do reviews but this Company and team really deserves it!

If you're looking to have ductwork installed for a basement finish, AFC is the company to go with. Denis was very knowledgable and friendly when he came out to give us a quote and measure. Their price beat the 3 other companies we reached out to!

AFC installed new AC units & furnaces at our house, and every aspect of the process was 5 star. The sales rep, Ron, arrived on time and was very personable. He explained the differences between the systems we were considering and shared his thoughts on which would be the best for our situation. He was no-pressure and very consultant-like in his approach. When I called to order the system, he claimed that the crew would be out in 3 days. The crew that showed up was awesome! Each member was very personable and friendly. We walked through the house together so they could explain each step of the installation process. Once the installation started, they worked in a very orderly manner, and took time to keep me updated on progress. When they finished, we did a walk-through and they explained each component—furnaces, AC, and thermostats. Overall, the experience with AFC far exceeded my expectations in the best of ways. The time had finally come to replace our old R-22 unit which had a slow freon leak. Every spring we had to add 1-3 pounds and with the prices going sky high it was just time to do it. We were with a company that had us on their monthly payment plan to be a "preferred" customer. We had them quote a new AC and "free" furnace and nearly fainted when we looked at a low 5 figure price. We next called the company that did our neighbor's system last year. Again a low 5 figure price. We asked some friends who they would recommend and called AFC. What a pleasant experience! We have our new complete system at a great price. On the install day the crew showed up on time, prepped the house to protect our carpet and flooring and worked to completion, then explained all that they did. They worked on our home like it was their own. Thanks AFC, and should anyone ask us, we will sing your praises!

My outside ac unit quit working overnight. I called AFC first thing in the morning. The woman I spoke with was pleasant and said that someone would be able to come out that same afternoon. I received a call before the tech arrived to let me know he was on the way. The tech was also friendly and professional. The ac unit needed a new part, which he had with him, so the unit was fixed quickly. My dad and brother both recommended this company and use them for their general contracting business. I can see why. They were friendly, professional and quick.

Recently we had our A/C fan motor go out during the latest heat wave in KC last week. Our unit was 17 years old, and we did not really want to invest more money into something that needed to be replaced anyway so we called five different heating and cooling companies to come out and give us a quote on new a new unit. It blows me away the price variances between company to company when you are getting a similar set up with each company. Might not be apples to apples but high-quality product installed professionally. When Justin with AFC came in to quote us it was different, it felt like he cared, and they wanted to be honest with me! He explained it all to me, he showed me what they were going to offer in terms I understood. The install was great as well, I never felt like they were going to cut a corner to do something that would be easier on them. They wanted to make sure this was a wonderful experience for me and my family. Thank you! I will refer anyone that asks about AFC Heating and Cooling in the future because they do incredibly professional work with the feel of a family-owned business that genuinely cares about its customers.

Excellent service. Our furnace wasn't working correctly, and a friend of ours recommended AFC. AFC came out the same day we called them, which was a Friday. They needed to order a part and returned on Tuesday to install the part. The service technicians were knowledgeable and very pleasant. We will definitely call AFC the next time we have an issue.

I don't write a lot of online reviews but AFC deserves one. They gave a fair quote and stuck with it. A professional team that knows what they are doing. Will have them work on my next project for sure. Posted a pic of the project in action to show this is a genuine review.

Every experience I've had with them has been, responsive and professional and treated me fair. I have had a few problems this winter, and did not charge me if they had to come out a second time.

I would recommend them to anybody in their service area.

Found this absolute gem of a company that helped me during my time of need. They replaced my nearly 20 year old HVAC system that went out unexpectedly. Out of all the quotes I received they came in SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the others. Their service was top-notch and the technicians were super courteous and knowledgeable. I'll be recommending them to all my friends and family.

AFC KC did a couple of maintenance calls for me and did really well so I had them come out to install a Lennox system. They were very thorough in their evaluation prior to the install and pointed out that I needed to install a liner for my clay-lined chimney prior to the install.

AFC KC's price was very competitive and the install went without any issues. A few things they did for me that other installers may not have done:
- During the install, they found the HVAC's circuit breaker was broken. They replaced / fixed them without additional charge.
- I found a duct that was improperly installed by original ducting installer - they taped them for me so I didn't have to go out and tape them myself.
- They registered the HVAC unit's warranty for me.

Wonderful service, great prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff! It was a very easy process. Phil and JD explained everything and the crew that did the installation were great. Very pleased with the prompt service and I would highly recommend AFC Heating and Cooling to anyone.

We had our furnace repaired by AFC in August. When another repair company came out, they discovered that the wires outside were reversed and connected incorrectly. Since this is a six-year-old home and our first repair in August, we know who did the latest work. We strongly advise against using this company and will not return as a customer.
