Positives: 1) I am a repeat customer so I do think Kirkwood HVAC makes a point to accommodate my service calls. 2) Fast. The technician is fast -- in and out in an hour. 3) Job completed - equipment working. Negatives: 1) Chris has no friendly demeanor. He is aloof and is not interested in reviewing options or explaining anything with the homeowner (repair vs replace). Before you know it, he's cutting wires and you're facing a hefty replacement cost. 2) Next, expensive. Maybe shop around if you actually know what's wrong with your furnace so you don't feel like you got overcharged when the 60 minutes are up.

Chris was great to deal with and was very informative. He walked us through multiple scenarios with advice to which units were recommended and - are you ready for this- his recommendation was NOT the most expensive way to go,and then, the other two new unit install guys were perfect! These guys are very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly people in every facet, thanks guys/gals for making this as convenient, quickly installed, and comfortable in St. Louis smack dab in the middle of June!!!

I have never experienced such outstanding and quality service. The guys knows their trade and how to get the work done. All super friendly and very personable. Thanks to Kirkwood Heating & Air Conditioning for taking care of our new HVAC system. Highly recommended.

Our air conditioners weren't working this week and we called Kirkwood Heating and Cooling because they were the closest. Not only did they come out the next day they were by the far the NICEST people to do business with. From the person who took our call to the technician who handled our problem, they were complete professionals. Could not recommend more.

I am not easy to please when it comes to home services, but Kirkwood Heating & Cooling was great. From the quote process through the install of my new hot water heater and flue, the team was friendly, timely, accurate, and affordable. Will use again if I ever have HVAC issues.

Our heating system went down. Sales responded immediately. Installation staff was great! Luke and Jason removed the old unit and installed the new one. Steve worked on some duct work. Gary also contributed to the installation. Luke and Jason first thing they did was put down floor covering. Very polite and worked the entire time. Took the time to explain a new digital thermostat. Answered all our questions. Very professional!

Mike and Jeff from Kirkwood Heating showed up right on time and set about installing my new furnace and air conditioning unit. They were both professional and efficient. It took about a 1/2 day but they cleaned up after themselves and left me with beautiful new HVAC system. I'm very pleased, and my home is nice and toasty.

We've been using Kirkwood Heating & A/C for years now. They're a fantastic company with employees that are kind, on-time, knowledgeable, professional and great communicators. The repairman, Kevin, has been to our house a couple of times. He explains the problem until we understand and does so patiently and kindly. If possible, I'd give this company ten stars!

I have been overall pleased with my experiences working with KHAC. They installed a mini split for me. The bid ($) seemed fair in comparison to other leading companies. Unfortunately I am not very happy with the unit's performance, but after a fair bit of research, it does not appear to be related to the quality of the install or the model they recommended to me. More like a manufacturing defect that I am working with KHAC and Mitsubishi to correct (these things can and do happen).

The people I have talked to on the phone for scheduling have always been SUPER nice. And the salesman who sold me the mini split also seems to be a stand up guy. I was less impressed with another salesman I worked with on a bid for a furnace swap out (he spec'ed out a furnace oversized for my house) but I assume it was an honest mistake. I ended up going with another company and passed along the reason why to KHAC.

I would recommend at least considering them for your next HVAC job. I will.

We had issues with our Nest thermostat saying it would take 2+ hours heat on our 2nd floor. We contacted Kirkwood Heating and Air, they were very responsive and able to get us scheduled for a few days out. Dan was very professional and cleaned the dirty sensor and repaired our attic unit. Definitely recommend and will be using them for all HVAC services moving forward

We just had a new furnace and air conditioner installed. Gary and Collin were phenomenal!!! Very courteous, polite and friendly. They answered all of my questions and they worked well as a team. The work sites were completely cleaned up :)

I called for an emergency service and they were forcing me to buy a maintenance contract first then charge for the service and any parts for the emergency call. If you did a good job, then I may want to spend more money with you. If this is your typical operation procedure, maybe be upfront about it on the phone or website.

We called to have them fix my fathers almost 60 year old furnace. After trying to fix it and finding parts it was determined it just could not be fixed. They were so nice and professional and worked with us to find a low cost replacement furnace option, since my dad is already 94 and the house is slated to be torn down when he moves out. I cannot say enough good things about how thankful we are to have an honest, caring and professional company help take care of this for my dad. Every one of the 5 different technicians who worked/helped out was so amazing. More than we expected and certainly more than we could have asked for. Highly recommend!!

I would HIGHLY recommend this local company. They are very professional and knowledgeable. We live in Florida and purchased a condo in Kirkwood which had a recently installed HVAC system. However, it turned out that the system was incorrectly installed making it nearly impossible to change the filter. The installing company refused to fix the problem, and another wanted an exorbitant amount to correct it.

Gary, from Kirkwood Heating, came out and figured out a solution in short order - and at a fraction of the cost. The work was done quickly and neatly, and the filter can now be easily changed. Good job!

I am so happy that we went with Kirkwood Heating and Cooling. We bought our house last year and, ever since we bought it, we were having difficulties with our HVAC unit despite the unit being 7-8 years old and fairly high quality. In fact, we dumped about $3-4k in just repairs in only 18 months.

Kirkwood came out to our house, fixed the initial issues, but continually kept finding more issues. They suggested a new unit and gave us a great deal. We couldn't say no. We are so happy with our Carrier unit! This team is high quality and they made every homeowner's worst nightmare - an HVAC replacement - an actually wonderful experience.

I called Kirkwood Heating & Air Conditioning around 10:30 PM based on the Google hours of operation showing they were open 24 hrs. This led me to believe this was a 24 hour service. I spoke with their call center who asked if I wanted this to be an emergency ticket. I said yes since my heater had failed and the house wasn’t getting warm. I expected a tech to call for an emergency repair after hours based on these events. I didn’t receive a call until 8:00 AM when they opened. When they called they said they aren’t open 24 hours, they just have the 24 hour call center so that they can get all the messages from overnight and call the customers back when they open at 8.

Thank you for the reply. When are the emergency hours? If you update your Google hours of operation to reflect your true hours, I will delete this review. I’d hate for someone else to wait all night and not contact another company like I did because they thought you were coming.

I recommend Kirkwood Heating and Cooling for service and sales. They are honest, experienced and provides great service. Their pricing is very fair. Every technician I have ever used has been nice and knowledgeable and works with you to try to find the best solution to either repair or replace your HVAC Units.
