Plumbing reviews in St. Louis, Missouri

Some of the people who are working there are really slimy they make up their own prices. They have no scanning system and the prices will change based on the customer like drastically.
-
Excellent service and prices. They have new toilets, bathtub, tub surrounds, pipes, water heaters and more. Both Scott and Cynthia are very helpful every time we go

I would definitely use Gooden & Daughter Plumbing company again. The crew showed up and they worked diligently and got the job done. They were very kind and respectful. Thank you Ms. Gloria!

My experience with Gooden Plumbing was awesome. My bath tube drain had beem clogged for months. Other Drain clearing business had tried to fix the problem but couldn't. But Gooden Plumbing did the job at a reasonable price. I highly recommend calling them for your plumbing needs.

They put in a 3 and a half foot of 4 inch pvc pipe and 2 boots. One hour of work. 2000.00 dollars. I got ripped OFF. They lied to me the whole time.SAD😞

We couldn’t be happier with their work. Gloria is so kind and clearly takes very good care of her crew, and they took good care of us. They replaced our main water supply line from the city. Gave us a great quote and had the job done a few days later. Gloria also helped expedite an issue we were having with the city. She’s got numbers of people to make stuff happen.
The crew left our house with fresh grass seed, straw and cleaned up every bit of dirt they dug up. This is my go to plumber now. -
I called Gooden Plumbing and got North Riverfront who is apparently associated with Premium Home Services. I needed my bathroom faucet replaced. They said no problem and changed me what I thought was a $99 deposit. They said someone would be out that day between 5-8:30. To make a long story short, after a series of missed appointments a tech made it out at 8pm two days later. The tech was good and completed the job in 30 minutes.
The next day I get an invoice for $325, $75 for the new faucet and $250 labor. I called and asked about the $99 'deposit'. I was told it wasn't a deposit but rather a lifetime 'service fee'. When I questioned I was basically told too bad. So the bottom line is I paid $350 labor for a 30 minute install of a $75 faucet.
I call this a ripoff. Please be aware of these services. -
I have used Pipe Solutions many times over the last several years, for both big jobs and small. We have always gotten great service and fair prices. Work was explained in advance and the price quoted was the price paid. We have never had an issue with their work and will continue to use them whenever necessary!

Great experience with Pipe Solutions. Great communication and prompt service. Adam did an amazing job and was very courteous, explained everything. Very happy with Pipe Solutions and would recommend them and call them in the future for plumbing needs.

Keith was on time and fixed my issue with no problem. He was courteous and professional. My home warranty company assigned this job to Pipe Solutions, but I would use them again for any plumbing issue.

Inconsistent techs. You will have a great experience with one and a terrible experience with another. One tech in particular does not appear to have adequate training as he has to go back to his superior every time he comes to our home and twice said two completely different systems were "tampered with," which led to them not being covered by our HSA. What??? In addition, the company did not get back to us on the last visit after this tech simply took a picture of the item in question. I had to call the company for an update.
We canceled our HSA due to this particular service provider and would not recommend them. -
I found this review along with the owners response on Google which was spot on with my experience. Neither the place of business nor the home warranty company (HSA) would furnish the repairs to be made or the breakdown of the cost. I was told by this company I’d have to get the info from HSA. HSA informed me I would have to get it from the company. Pretty shady on both sides. The only reason I didn’t give a worse review was the installers took time to answer questions I had. So a water heater that was supposed to be covered cost me $1105 out of pocket. I still don’t know why!! Didn’t even get a bill of sale saying it was a new water heater.
“Paid $100 for a 10 second video call to tell me water heater was cracked. Refused to give me a detailed breakdown/report for repair costs. Told me I needed to pay for the repairs on site and then would get an invoice detailing repair costs. Would not work with my insurance company in any capacity.

Cristian, We are sorry you did not have the best experience with us and your warranty company. Unfortunately we are not able to change their procedures.
However, when working with warranty companies, these are the policies we do have to follow. The $100 was paid to your warranty company for a service call which is standard for every visit. We do make it easier on the home owner when we can do a virtual visit, this is done specifically to save you time from having to wait for a plumber. Once we diagnose the issue, we turn in the report to your home warranty company and wait for their decision. Per your contract with the warranty company and ours, we are not allowed to discuss a break down in pricing. We understand how inconvenient this can be, and we do sympathize with you on this. Your home warranty company should be able to give you a break down of what you are paying for and Pipe Solutions is able to give you a list. What and how much you are paying for is determined by your contract with the warranty company. As far as working with your home insurance company, we do not work with any additional 3rd party insurance companies. In most cases, the work would be completed and then you would turn in your invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement. We would be happy to go over other solutions for you if you would like.” -
Pipe Solutions had to come back with a permit & check the Pressure Reducing valve due to they were told my contract with American Home Shield did not cover the permit cost. They were given the wrong information. Pipe Solutions will return next week to replace PRV due to water pressure to high.
Adam returned today (12/14/22) to replaced the PRV & did an excellent job. Will return next week to replace the duct pipe due to the one he had did not fit. Will have to order the right size.
Adam came back today (12/21/22) to install/connect a modified gas vent duct pipe on top of the water heater. Adam did an excellent job. It really looks good!!! -
I used Pipe Solutions to install a water pressure regulator valve and fix a leaky shower. Chris Pratt came out to do the job and was great! He was knowledgeable, efficient, and was able to figure out exactly what my root cause was (which a different plumbing company couldn’t identify).
Additionally, Brooke in their office did a great job explaining my options/costs and scheduling. I also like their text alerts that let me know when they were on their way. -
Adam and Ryan helped me out today installing a new water heater. I had to work through my warranty company with Pipe Solutions and was pleasantly surprised and pleased with their promptness, customer service, and craftsmanship. Highly recommend.

I have leak under kitchen sink that occurs every few months or so....unable to resolve still. Not technician fault...leak had stopped of course when your guy came today. I will video it ne t time it happens. Technician was very nice and he checked everything possible!

I called Pipe Solutions to find and repair my leaking shower/tub. Water was leaking behind the wall, damaging the ceiling below. I also asked for them to install two shutoff valves in the powder room on the main floor so that I won't have to shut off the water in the whole house if I choose to change out the faucet. They were very responsive and had Adam come out the next day! He was able to located the leak and fix the tub drain in a very prompt manner. He also took the time to install the water lines/shut off valves in the vanity in the main floor powder room. The work was done in a very professional and proficient manner! Adam did a good job! From my experience, I would highly recommend Pipe Solutions and Adam!

Keith was very nice. He said our water heater is 41 years old so I questioned fixing it but he assured me it's doing OK now. I know he cleaned it, checked for leaks and turned temp up, just hope it will work correctly now.

The problem was resolved in less than 10 minutes. The solution involved a wrench and some tightening to fix a simple leak and lack of cold water. I assume this might have been more affordable had it not gone through my home owner’s warranty. The deductible was $75 through AHS for several minutes of work. Still, no more leak and cold water is working!
