Furnace stopped running the week temperatures in Nebraska dropped below zero. I called on Sunday evening and someone was at my house in 45 minutes to assess the situation. He was confident he could get a part from the warehouse and apologized he did not have a part for my 25+ year old furnace in his van. I got a call Monday morning saying they would be ant my house about noon and close to 11:15 on a very cold snowy day they were at my house. Part installed, pump replaced, all the spills cleaned up and a check to be sure it worked. Yay!! I had heat. No doubt who I’ll call for any future heating and AC needs!! Thanks Capital!

My AC was not cooling well and I called for service and was able to get the same day service before the temperature got higher. The technician was quick to resolved the issue and explained what he had to do. Very pleasant and quick resolution. Great job!

We recently moved back to Lincoln and needed to add a mini split to house that we just purchased. I called around and landed on Capitol for my contractor. They were incredibly responsive on the quote, they had solid availability for installation, and good equipment for the money. Their people knew how to leverage City of Lincoln and LES credits, too,
Josh, the install lead did a nice job of listening to our install preferences and he and the other technician performed a clean install.

I've used Capitol Heating and Air Conditioning a few different times and the service has always been quick and fairly priced. They don't try to swindle you to buy new units if your unit is fixable. It's greatly appreciated!

I've had Capitol install and service my furnace and AC for almost 40 years, and never had a dissatisfying experience. Their techs are experienced, friendly and give honest and straightforward advice. They arrive when they say they will, and complete their work quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended.

The entire experience was seamless. Nathan, Aaron, and Mason facilitated the installation of both a new furnace and an air conditioning coil. Likewise, Mitchell and Joe were the amazing technicians that completed the work in just a few hours. Capitol Heating and AC also worked quickly and efficiently with the Homes Association and the city inspectors. So what began on Wednesday was complete by Friday! They have my highest recommendation!

Our AC unit went out over the 4th of July holiday. Luckily, Capitol Heat & Air was able to come out right away and got the problem fixed. They were prompt, professional and very reasonably priced!

Furnaces never fail when it's nice outside. They wait until it's below zero and probably it's the weekend. My house kept getting colder and colder and I finally went to check my furnace to find it cold and dead. Made a call to Capitol, who has looked after our HVAC units from before we bought the house, and within hours, a charming and knowledgeable technician knocked on my door and got my furnace going. It was a failing switch of some kind. I like to at least try to fix stuff myself, but there's no way I could have fixed this. He also changed my weird accordion-shaped air filter, something I don't know how to do. What strikes me most is what an enjoyable experience it was working with Capitol. This has been consistently the case through all of the years they've come to help us, but the technician helping me yesterday was a star.

After repairing our old air conditioner (AC) that required a lot of additional coolant, we decided to get a new AC. Capital Heating quickly provided a competitive proposal for a new Rheems AC. The new AC was installed within the next few days. The installers did a great job and were very informative about maintaining the new AC.

Had some issues with settings for humidity control in our new home. Turns out it is due to an app issue with the thermostat, and had to be done from the device itself and not the app. Sam was very knowledgeable and easy to work with and he took care of the issue quickly. He also tweaked some other system settings to improve operations. Our experience with Capitol Heating and Air Conditioning throughout the build and our first few months has been exemplary. Wish we would have used them a couple of years ago for work on a rental, but stayed with the company that did work there previously.

This is based off of a home inspection -
We had Capitol out because that's who our realtor recommended. Worst mistake. After now moving into the house and having to use both heat and AC and having another company out to inspect it's clear they didn't look at the systems as all. They must have just came in and turned the thermostat on. Why would we pay someone to do that? We could have done it ourselves.
I will say they did send a technician out to do some work free of charge since they gave us an inaccurate inspection report. However, the tech was the same one that did the inspection. Gave me an attitude and then only did the work halfway so I had to pay another company to do it anyways. I also had to explain to the technician what he should have done for the inspection and how we use those inspections as home buyers. Seems like something he should already know.
Hard to put a price on what they cost me since the whole system needs to be replaced and I could have negotiated thousands off the cost of the house if I had that information.

Efficient, professional, helpful and very nice. Fair pricing. They had put in a new cooling system for me about 2 years ago and did such an excellent job that's why I called them again. They're really good at what they do. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs heating or cooling help

When our AC quit on a very hot Friday morning we made a call to Capital. Their appointments were full for the day but we said we’d be willing to pay overtime if that what it took. We received a late afternoon call that the technician could get to our home BEFORE closing which meant no overtime for us! A young man (Ethan) arrived & assessed the situation, replaced a motor, & had our AC functioning again in record time. My husband (a former contractor) watched Ethan work & was so very impressed! He repeated several times to numerous people that “EVERY MOVE ETHAN MADE COUNTED!”. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, & quick to complete the repairs. We won’t ever hesitate to use Capital Htg & Air again if need be! Great service!

Quick, organized, friendly, and professional for the services they provided. We have a young daughter and the team was so mindful of her while she napped that they insisted on providing as quiet a working environment as they could. When I witnessed this I was beyond surprised and appreciated they cared this much while doing their work. I will be using their services going far into the future with all HVAC needs.

I do not like to write all negative reviews, so let me start off with the positives. We had Capitol come out for a replacement on our heat pump after a house fire. The replacement for that went very well and smooth - they were fast to get us in, on time with the installation on time and did a good job on communication with that aspect to get the unit passed for home inspection with the city.

The problems started when they offered additional services with installing vents for the heater and kitchen vent. We had them out July 9th for the venting. On August 25th, we were them told that the venting did not pass inspection, which we assumed was done 7 weeks ago when the job was done. By that time, we were told that the venting they did needed to be framed out. By that time,we already had drywall in our house. We had no communication with Capitol between those two dates. When I asked about why none of these requirements or inspection failures were never communicated, we were told that Capitol is not responsible for anything, and took no accountability with resolving our issue with having to redo framing or drywalling. So we ended up having pay to frame out and put up new drywall after we assumed the entire job was complete. The communication on this issue was extremely poor and completely different experience than what we had for the installation of the heat pump. We were very disappointed since we had the initial experience was very positive and we trusted Capitol to be an expert in their fields with code requirements and clear communication.

I arrived home to an 85-degree house. I called Capital Heating & A/C to come check the AC compressor. The tech, Ben, arrived within 30 minutes. In less time than that, Ben had it nailed down that one of the LES service legs to my house was bad. I have no problem paying for talent like that!! Keep up the awesome work!! Now, it's up to LES to fix their line to my house while we run on a temp line.

I would highly recommend Capital Heating and Air. They’re professional, quality work comes at a reasonable price! Very friendly, and only sells you what you need! They got us a quote the same week we called, and got it installed the following week! We also were having issues with our thermostat, and the installer told us he had thermostats in his van and could install it the same time as the Mini Split! They were so great to work with, we won’t call anybody else!
