Plumbing reviews in Las Vegas, Nevada

I called American Leak Detection on Monday morning and was told someone would come to our house between 10 and 12 the same day. Right on time at 10am, Jon showed up and quickly detected where the leak was (water main line between house and meter). He marked the area and the next day I dug a hole and the problem was right where he said it would be. My husband replaced the damaged pipe and the problem was solved. Jon was very professional and knowledgeable. I am so glad I called this company to help us out. It was worth the money. I HIGHLY recommend American Leak Detection.

Hired American Leak Detection from a recommendation from another local plumbing company. The technician Mr. Bradley was very professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. He performed his job in a very thorough manner, he reassured me that my house was holding proper water pressure, and that I did not have a main water leak. (water company insisted I was leaking 80,000 gallons of water). Tech was spot on with his assessment of a bad meter.
I absolutely recommend this company! -
2 months ago this company came out to work on one of my rental properties. When the tenant asked for the bill, they said they only leave the bill with the owner. And two months later I have yet to receive a bill. They could have left a bill with the tenant, or they could have mailed it to her address, or they could have mailed it to my address, or they could have recontacted me on Yelp. None of this happened. And yet I receive a letter from them that they are going to place a lien on my property if this bill is not paid. Mind you, I have yet to receive a bill, or a description of the work completed, or any sort of warranty on the work or parts. Worst and most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with as a property owner. Unbelievable! Buyer beware!

The technician arrived as scheduled on 03/13/2014 and all services were performed on that day.
From the Leak Detection Report:
"Called out for water damage to wall dividing properties. Performed electronic detection on homeowner's property finding no leaks and no meter movement at this time. Inspected neighbor's yard finding leak in valve box and line to drip system separated and leaking to be likely cause of damage to the wall.Turned off irrigation system to neighbor's yard for the time being."
This report from an independent third party which the technician gave me and also sent me via e-mail had a few pictures of the wall damage in question. This was just what I needed since it looked like I might have to take my neighbor to Small Claims Court if he refused to reimburse me for the damage to my wall ($926.00 which he did eventually pay).
The only issue that I have with the service provided is that it was a "bit expensive" for the time and effort (minimal, 15-20 minutes) expended by the technician. Even with the 10% off Angie's List coupon that I had my cost was still $225.00 ($250.00 less $25.00).
Otherwise everything else was smooth sailing.
Description of work:
I was experiencing extensive water damage to the painted north concrete block wall (CMU - concrete masonry units) that I share with my next-door neighbor. The ground/soil beneath my side of the wall was completely saturated and I suspected that the source of the problem was a leak originating on my neighbor's side of the wall since I could not find a leak on my side.
After one week's time with no response from my neighbor after first bringing this water problem to his attention, I called American Leak Detection to specifically determine the source of the problem. -
Last week, we received the dreaded news that we had a hot water slab leak. It explained why our water, gas and electric bills seemed to be skyrocketing.
We called our insurance company and also our home warrantee company and both recommended American Leak Detection. Right here, I will say, if you ever have the dreaded slab leak, look no further. Go right to American Leak Detection and let them do their magic.
Rob found the source of the problem, rerouted the plumbing so that the leak was finished and the new plumbing better and stronger - and - he did it all without having to jackhammer or destroy our floors. These people are professionals in the true sense of the word and I cannot say enough about the work they do and the manner in which they kept us in the loop on everything that was being done.
In the end, the problem was properly addressed and fixed with a minimum of damage to our walls. Damage, I might add, that was completely repaired without a trace, in a matter of days.
American Leak Detection is "The Best". They KNOW what they are doing. -
Edgar was extremely professional and helpful. Not only did he identify the issue with my irrigation box, but he also helped me adjust my sprinkler system and checked for any other leaks in the household - and one was found! He showed me how I could easily replace the part myself, and took the time to walk me through the step-by-step process.

Beware fellow homeowners I was highly disappointed when I did my research and asked the tech if there was a possibility if there could be more leaks after finding the main one, he stated "No". I was also charged more for the leak detection fee when my neighbor has a bigger lot and home square footage and had three leaks plus a pool. I would have loved to refer them but now no way. Two techs were at my home over two hours to locate the leak when I had already pointed out approximately where is was cause I had already dug my own hole over 3 1/2 feet down and you could see visually which direction the water was coming from and the location. Then they wanted another fee to try and now find another leak that the water company said I still have. This was apipe material issue from the original builder. My leak was not caused by tree roots. I specifically asked "Is there any possibility I might have another leak still in another location, and the answer was no highly unlikel based on his findings.

Hired to find leak(s) in my pool. Tech came out, and didn’t identify very much.
I called out a second leak detection company, and they identified multiple leaks, a couple of which were extremely obvious.
Very poor quality service, and the best they offered was $75 off of a $450 service.
I would have happily paid $450 if it were a competent job, but they missed so much it was mind boggling. -
Very unhappy with this company and their service. Was told a trip charge to laughlin would be an additional one hundred and twenty five dollars coming from las vegas. Now.
Company says I owe four hundred and twelve dollars for trip charge. Technician told me verbally in front of my witness. They waved the trip charge. I gladly wrote him out a check for the services. Now they're coming after me and say They are sending me to collections. Beware! -
Absolutely Amazing!!! I called and got an appointment Mike was the tech that came out and was super nice and so professional. He spent hours trying to find a leak he definitely went above and beyond to help us. Im so grateful I called them instead of all the other companies I contacted.

I showed the technician a plant by our driveway that was excessively growing and green on the first trip to our house. The technician said that there was a sprinkler valve leaking. When our lawn maintenance company got around to removing and replacing the valve, that did not fix the water leak. We had the technician out again. The antisiphon valve was identified as the reason for the leak.
We replaced the antisiphon valve. That did not fix the leak.
The Las Vegas Water Waste Department sent us more notifications of continuous water flow.
We had the Technician come out again, and he
detected sounds under the driveway where I showed him the excessively green plant on his first visit troubleshooting visit. We are very disappointed in the type of service we received.
Another issue:
Your Motto is: "No Distruction." However, our home have 11 holes in the walls as they were looking for a continuous flow of water in our house.
That seems as if modern equipment did the technician no good.
Again, we are very disappointed and dissatisfied. You have the photos already. All of
the technicians were friendly and respectful. -
Steven was the best!
This company has been a huge blessing. Steven was competent and professional and saved us thousands of dollars with a common sense approach to fixing my pool. Would highly recommend. -
Luis came out today and was very thorough. He found the leak that was creating our insane water bill! Thank you!!

Office staff are very friendly and professional. The technician that came to the house definitely knew what he was doing and found multiple leaks in our swimming pool before we began a large renovation. They were also less expensive than having our pool contractor check for leaks. I definitely recommend their services!

This is the second time I have used American Leak Detection Service and I can highly recommend this company. Service and communication is A1.

On 1/16/24, American Leak Detection came to my property in Las Vegas to attempt to detect a leak. I was billed $550 for two hours of labor, but the technician left in less than one hour. The technician did not correctly locate my leak, and instead gave me bad advice which caused my handyman to needlessly cut into my pool decking (cool pool deck) and cause unnecessary and expensive damage to my property. When I communicated this problem to Brittany at American Leak Detection, she did not offer any sort of solution, instead asking that I pay another $550 for another assessment. Looking at other recent Google reviews of this company, it seems as though my experience is not an exception to the rule, as several other recent clients of this company are reporting having very similar experiences. I strongly recommend that you do not deal with this company, as their business practices are deceptive and unfair and their technicians are not competent to detect leaks.

If I could rate -5, I would have. They came to our community about 3 weeks, ago, charged a$1530.00 to check the leak on our spa, according to their technician, the plumbing was fine and could take the pressure, they only needed to fix the crack around the light in the spa with proxy. We still have the same problem, I called today and now they are telling me that they can send the technician back, however if they do not find out anything new, they will charge us again.
They do not have any pride in their workmanship. -
Expensive but couldn't find the leak!!!
Eddie came to check the pool the first time but couldn't find a leak. They charged $550 for first 2 hours of detection work but Eddie left in less than an hour. Eddie then wanted to come back in a week to check the spa. However, Eddie checked the spa and still couldn't find the leak. He recommended us to change out a infloor check valve (cost $220) but rate of water loss is still the same after the valve replacement. So that didn't work. We also have issue with billing. No one said anything that there would be another $550 charge to come out again to check the spa but they did send us another invoice. Why didn't he check the spa the first time? Now, he's even ignoring my texts telling him that he still hasn't found the leak yet. :( -
Would NEVER recommend this company. They make it seem like they are a real solid company by emailing you a contract to sign before they come out and confirming your appointment several times. When they actually showed up the technician named Juan walked into my backyard and just said, “Yep, it’s your pool that’s leaking!” Without even turning off any water lines, any pool equipment, or looking at the main water meter on the sidewalk in front of my house. He just immediately assumed there was no leak in my house, in my landscaping but in fact just by looking with his eyes that the leak in fact was in my pool.
I called to complain about the lack of work to investigate our leak and there was no apology it was just excuses on that is what they do. Poor company with terrible customer service. Would not recommend! -
Absolute waste of our time. We have a leak in our home somewhere and we have received many letters from the water district telling us that we need to get it fixed. We set an appointment up with this company over a month ago only to have them show up today and tell us that it is your pool, but we can’t do anything to detect it. I would’ve had my pool drained and ready for them. Had I known this was the way they conduct business please don’t waste your time. Find a better company that has good customer service. Their technician literally came out for two seconds, said 'It's your pool,' and left. Didn’t turn off my water valves. Didn’t turn off my main water line; he assumes it’s my pool

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If I could give 6 stars, I would — one for the actual plumbing and one for Chloe, the real MVP. A pipe burst, I panicked, Chloe calmly said, “We got you,” like a plumber slash therapist. The team showed up so fast I thought they teleported. They fixed the issue, cleaned up, and didn’t even judge me for trying to “DIY” with duct tape. Highly recommend if you like your plumbing done right!
