Rick Moniz from Hutchinson is fantastic! He was friendly, punctual, and very thorough with his work. I needed a new part for my heater, and he was able to order it and complete the service while he was here. He cleaned up after himself and was incredibly polite. Highly recommend!

Very friendly, experienced, professional named Matt came to handle a major leak behind drywall. Did not have time to “shop around “ for estimates, but at least I had my annual service contract to take away 15% of the $$ pain. Would continue to recommend Hutchinson for plumbing as well as Heat/AC.

Had Hutchinson do a duct cleaning for us and I can’t say enough great things about the professionalism and kind nature from Jeff and Savannah. We have animals in the house and they went out of their way to accommodate us with moving the animals room to room. Very thorough job and not even a footprint on the carpet left behind. I’ll be recommending them to everyone that will listen. Thank you Jeff and Savannah again!

I knew the price was slightly higher than average, but I also knew the system I wanted to replace was originally installed about 20 years ago (the AC unit is 22 years old and the gas heating system is 17 years old), also by Hutchinson. It had been very reliable throughout all those years. Hutchinson replaced the entire HVAC system in just one day, and I’m very satisfied with the timing, quality of work, and overall result.

My heater stopped working over night and the temperature in my home had dropped to 41 degrees the next morning. I contacted Hutchinson in the middle of the night and had a technician out to my home by 8am. Fernando was great and make sure my heater was properly functioning and running before he left. Would absolutely recommend Hutchinson and their technician Fernando in particular to anyone

Scheduling an appointment for my maintenance check was AWEFUL. I have a yearly service plan and called in March to make an appointment for my air conditioner system check. They would not schedule me until November telling me they were booked. This is ridiculous. Of note, I have been a customer for 6 yrs and bought my HVAC system ($13,000) through them. They advertise they will be out the same day for service. I guess they weren't making money on me this time so my my appointment was pushed back.
Why would anyone have their air-conditioning checked in November when the temperature is in the 40's?

Was really impressed with the responsiveness of Hutch. Came out next day and assessed me system and was able to do an install the very next day. $25,000 later my system is not working. they came out to service the newly installed unit that had not enough refrigerant…. The second service person was great but didn’t have any refrigerant…. No explanation as to why the original installation crew wouldn’t make sure the system was working properly.

Definitely disappointing.

I was a Hutch fan. Right now… not able to recommend. Do better.

Punctual, professional, knowledgeable and clean. What more can I say the past 2 technicians for our air conditioner and water heater have been exemplary and convenient. Even the phone staff treated us with respect and professionalism.
If you are looking for worry free water heater or AC unit technicians Hutchinson is your best bet for a smooth-worry free transactions of maintenance of major home appliances. I plan on trying their plumber services as well👍🏼

Jason Saunders gave us great plumbing services for our home. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very prompt. He communicated the issues well and we are pleased with all of the work he did. We would definitely use him again!

Kudos to Hutchinson coming out to check my heater regarding concerns of fumes from the heater. They sent Ken Atzert out on the job and he was excellent. Knowledgeable, professional and great at his job. He clearly broke down what fees/services were included and what was extra - no ambiguity!!! I have only high things to say Ken and this experience!!!! Appreciate you sir!

July, 2015, Hutchinson offered an energy efficiency package for our townhome. New A/C, furnace, coil, thermostat, water heater, seal and reinsulate attic, seal basement joists, clean ducts and dryer vent. Carrier Infinity system. Vastly improved the comfort of our home. Began service plan and had 2 service visits per year.

Installers and service technicians all highly trained and professional.

A/C condenser failed at year 6 - very disappointing since Carrier is supposed to be the Mercedes of the HVAC world - Hutch provided a window AC unit for the week it took to get the part and there was no charge for the repair since we had the service plan.

Then Horizon bought Hutchinson. During one of the regular services a leak was discovered in a PVC elbow. This is a pretty low level repair which doesn’t take long and involves 2 pieces of plastic. $500!!!!!
I ate it and continued the service plan.

Now the service plan is a little cheaper since the 10 year warranty is over. The latest maintenance was done a month ago.
The furnace failed on Monday. I arranged a service visit yesterday morning. The fan that removes the exhaust fumes needed replacement. As long as that has failed, it’s recommended to replace the three sensors attached to it. For good measure, we also replaced the glow plug. The technician was very professional, he diagnosed quickly, he waited in his truck while the parts were UBERED to my home, and in about 20 minutes he installed all 3 parts and flipped the switch and the heat was back on. Hallelujah!!

Only one problem. The company that services our condo association would have charged about $1400. An authorized Carrier dealer would have charged about $2,000.

Hutchinson charged me $5,000!!!!!!!! And that’s with a 15% discount!!

I’m going to miss their professional technicians, but that was Hutch’s last visit to my home.

They do have thousands of better reviews than mine - you be the judge.

I had a major problem with my sink not draining. Had to wash dishes in my bathroom tub. The technician Cameron was very knowledgeable and my sink is back in order. Very professional and took pride in his job. I would definitely give them a five plus rating. And the price was very reasonable. Thanks for your service.

Polite, knowledgeable , thorough, has been here before. Not rushed, gave advice & answered questions. He spoke w/ my husband and I listened, too. Great technician.

Update: The worst contractor experience. After 7 visits and 7 days of rescheduling work around this company for technicians from Hutchinson Heat and Air our AC has not worked since they installed a new heater. The technicians theory today is the circuit board replaced today was not broken during installation and instead the error stopping the AC from wiring is an incompatibility of the new heater with the old AC. Now another part must be ordered and we are time will be tomorrow. Again waiting for a manager to call and actually get us scheduled for the technician to come for the 8th time tomorrow.

Update: After 6 separate service calls over a month all requiring time off of work the AC is still not repaired. Finally a third part ordered was scheduled to be installed by the same technician and dispatch sent a different technician who had no idea what was broken and who had the new part, but not the old part that it attached to. The old part was taken by the previous technician to ensure the new part was compatible before coming out and wasting another day of our time. Although the rain stopped hours ago they are saying they will not return today with both parts and I am supposed to take off work for the 7th day. They will not even schedule for next Tuesday when my husband can be available. At 8:07am i was told the customer relations manager would call and as of 12:12PM still not call to remedy the situation or even reschedule the service technician. The call center says they cannot reschedule since management is handling this.

Extremely disappointed in Hutchinson Heating and cooling. Issues began with salesperson measuring the space and ordering a heater that could not fit. Waited hours for the installer to get a properly sized unit to the house.

During installation a number of tiles were broken. Also a part needed for the air conditioner was fried. We have the AC and heat systems inspected prior to turning them on each season, but the installer in the fall turned on the AC without inspecting the system which had a chewed wire. This chewed wire would have been caught during our Spring AC inspection and easily repaired without frying further electronics.

Less than 24 hours later and the heater is not working and no one has scheduled to install what was broken in the A/C by the installer of the heater.

During repair of the brand new heat system installer taped a safety switch so the cover could be put back on and ensure the heater still worked. Then he had to be told he had to remove the tape so this safety switch would work as designed and turn the system off when the cover is removed.

At this time still no word on the AC replacement part.

Day 3 another service call and another 4-hour window to wait and miss work with no heat. A third service technician came and the original installer never checked the pressure and gas levels. Glad for a safety switch which shut off the system when pressure was too high. Finally heat after 3 days.

Day 7 AC part is scheduled for installation, but still no call from a manager to discuss the concerns.

Hutchinson was able to get to our house quickly. Diagnosed the problem ( furnace/AC unit dead). They offered a great price with great warranties on parts and labor. Hopefully won't need to use that anytime soon. They did a great job on installation and cleaning it all up. Wonderful job Hutchinson!!

We get yearly checks on our older heating and air and they did a great job and were thorough. Answered any questions we had. Our tech was Kevin and he drove from the king of Prussia area.

The technician Joe Arrived early within the time frame specified.
Provided options to consider regarding the repair of a shut off water valve. Recommended the least expensive option based on the assessment.
He needed to run out to purchase and ensure he used the correct materials and completed the repair and cleaned up the work area. Highly recommend!

It was so easy to just call and schedule an appointment. They made the timing very convenient. Technician arrived on time. He is was very knowledgeable. The job was done in a timely manner.and very efficiently. I would recommend Hutchinson to everyone.

He was very knowledgeable, and proceeded to resolve issues not previously addressed during installation of a new heater by other Hutchinson technicians. Timothy is an all around model technician focused on doing things right. He sets a high standard for technicians. Thanks Timothy - we plan on requesting you when we have HVAC issues and concerns. We also hope that Hutchinson recognizes you accordingly.

During the coldest days of January, we woke up to no heat in the house. Temp was 57 degrees. I called Hutchinson and was able to get a 10-2pm appt. The service guy, Adam, arrived before 10am. He diagnosed the issue as a bad blower motor. Adam was able to get a replacement motor for us right away and he had it delivered to our house in no time. The removal and install of the motor were completed by 12 and our heat was back on. Adam was courtesy, experienced and did a great job! Hutchinson did a great job all around from start to finish. Thank you!
