Plumbing reviews in Brooklyn, New York

The guys were efficient and fast. Even though my tub did not require extensive work, they were still professional and fast, however weekend rates are a little steep 😳. If you can, try to get work done during the week. All in all excellent job Nationwide!

Krista was great in setting up an appointment for me. John was knowledgeable and courteous. He explained to me the rules about taking care of gas pipes in the buildings. I learned a lot from them. Highly recommended!

I don't usually write reviews, but, in light of the extraordinary service that was provided me at a reasonable price by Nationwide Plumbers, I feel I must recognize the great job they did and let others know about it. Krysta, the manager, who answers the phone when you call their number, was superb--professional, pleasant, efficient, and helpful. The plumbers/technicians were highly skilled and explained the details of what they were doing. And they solved the problem quickly. (Shout out to Orjan B. and his able assistant Joe! Many thanks, guys!) I should add that I get an appointment the following day after I called. The plumbers determined that I needed a new pump, which they installed the next day. I'm extremely appreciate of the wonderful service and care I received from Nationwide Plumbers. I highly recommend them.

Krista and Yohan were great with setting up the appointment and getting the docs I needed to satisfy the co-op rules. Kevin and John arrived on time and installed the gas stove and toilet I had purchased. Both were very friendly and cordial. I thank Nationwide for coming all the way to South Harlem to take care of these installs. Their pricing was transparent and their work was excellent! Call them! Krista’s NJ Housewife accent is worth a listen! 🥰🥰🥰

My son needed a new hot water heater in his home. I drove all the way from upstate NY for this appt. They came promptly on time and did the job in about an hour. I was very satisfied with them and told my son to save this contact, this is your new plumber in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Thanks Nationwide!

My backyard and basement was getting flooded every time it rained; lately even with 5 minute downpours. Two plumbers from different company had previously snaked the sewer line and gave me the bill. The problem was still there.
I called Nationwide in Brooklyn. John and Chris showed up. After explaining the situation, they both opened up the drain in back of the house. To my surprise; There was an old Spaldine rubber ball just sitting there causing the backup.
All I can say is....I was surprised. These two guys knew exactly what to do and how to do it.
The price wasn't cheap, but the job was done good. They left after they cleaned everything up. I recommend Nationwide Plumbers, especially the Brooklyn office on 69 Street and 8 Avenue. -
We were initially going to use another company and I did not feel comfortable with request for pre-payment and I'm so glad I decided to search again to find Nationwide. First contact with David and he was responsive and helpful with questions. Now seeing other reviews and I was not aware he is the Pres/Owner. Impressed that he went out of his way as if he was someone in customer service. Responded after hours as well. Krista was also beyond helpful with questions and she has extensive knowledge in how to work with co-op buildings which is what we needed. I would not hesitate to recommend and contact them again.

I run a property management business in Brooklyn and met David back in Summer 2023. We started our business relationship then and Nationwide Plumbers have been truly excellent for us. Very knowledgeable and reliable. David is always easy to reach and been helpful at every turn. I have worked a lot with John, Kevin, and Krista as well. They have all been fantastic and it has been a pleasure to do business with all involved. Highly recommended!!

I called Nationwide Plumbers to fix my flushometer style toilet which was not flushing. While they could not give an exact quote over the phone without seeing the problem (understandable) I was told that they charge $295 per hour of labor and the part if needed could range from $175-$325.The scope of the job seemed minimal to them. I would be responsible for the first hour of labor regardless of whether or not I went thru with the quote, and if I did they would prorate the first hour less the time it took for the diagnostic. I agreed to this. They needed a credit card to book the appointment, which I provided to them.
They came and determined my flushometer was not fixable & I needed a new one, which due to my building’s requirements had to be replaced with exactly the same one as I had. Not a problem. I did not hear anything from them for a few days and called several times where they claimed they were having issues locating the part because it was old/odd manufacturer/etc. After several calls eventually they did find the part and that they would send a quote within a few minutes.
I received a quote for $1,395 + tax to replace my flushometer. It mentioned that the shutoff to the line of apartments was not functional but my toilet shutoff itself was functional, which I had already told them. I called to ask how the figure was arrived at/was there a mistake considering this would be representative of 3+ further hours of labor even if I had the most expensive flushometer, and the office worker told me the plumber would call to explain.
He did not call for a few days, I got sick and tired of waiting (week+ now with a toilet that had to be flushed with a bucket), so I just took matters into my own hands and bought the supposedly very hard to find flushometer for the whopping full retail price of $120 which was identical to the old one. The guy at the parts store told me it was the second most common kind of flushometer out there. I am not a plumber and never did this before, and this part took me all of 45 minutes to change with the most basic of tools.
When the plumber eventually called and explained the quote, I was had read it correctly-the repair would only entail replacing the flushometer itself. The quote was not padded for any potential issues and any additional parts that broke along the way would be at extra cost. I then spoke with the office and informed them that I would not be going through with the work, and still no one was able to explain the quote.
At the conclusion of this call I was charged for the “hour” of labor plus sales tax. They will not return the charge in good faith despite wasting my time for a week and never substantiating how they arrived at the insulting quote. Easy money to charge for quotes for jobs they had no interest in taking on.
I should have known and found someone else the moment they wanted a card to book the appointment and could not give a ballpark for the job. My issue must have been too small for them to be interested in fixing at a fair price-so they got me for an hour of labor anyway and if I was desperate enough to take them up on the next $1,100+ hose job so be it. I honestly believe I never would have even received a quote at all if I didn’t keep following up-another sign I got an “I don’t want to fix it price”.
This unit is on the top floor and having had floods in apartments in the past I absolutely did not want to risk doing this repair myself. But already being out over $300 to these people, I had no other option but to do so. I have no issue paying for services and businesses have costs and exist to make money-fine by me. If they doubled the retail price of the flushometer that I paid, and took twice as long as I took to change it , they could have done this job for less than half the quoted price and still made a hefty profit-and I would have gladly taken them up on it and could have given a good review.
I acted honorably and in good faith and got burned by Nationwide. In my experience they seem to be more interested in writing quotes than taking on jobs. -
Nationwide Plumbers helped me solved the plumbing issue I had in a quick manner. The techs who came to help were pleasant and kind. When calling the office, everyone I spoke with was very helpful and understanding! Thank you Nationwide Plumbing!

I am very grateful to the Nationwide Plumbers for resolving my complicated problems. After the earthquake in NYC on April 5th I had a gas leak in the basement of my 100-year old house in Manhattan. ConEdison shut down gas and gave me a long list of violations. It was terrifying. I interviewed three companies, talked to a lot of people and read a lot of reviews. I chose Nationwide Plumbers. They were recommended as very honest, experienced and fully bonded and insured. Estimate was of course, a factor, but I really appreciated the way the treated me. I needed to understand what happened and what needs to be done to get gas back on. Project manager Yohan spent a lot of time patiently explaining what needs to be done step by step and in every detail. I was impressed with his knowledge and experience. I had to replace the boiler, hot water heater, all the piping and other gas equipment, all electrical wiring, remove asbestos, fireproof the boiler room, go electric in the kitchen, obtain all permits, work with chimney engineer, work with the Department of Buildings, etc. it was overwhelming. Fortunately Yohan knows everything and works with specialists outside his company who he recommended. I met other outstanding people of the Nationwide Plumbers: foreman John, master plumber Anthony and Krista, who helped me navigate paperwork and answered a lot of my questions. She is definitely the softer side of the business and gave me a lot of support. After five months of hard work I passed inspections with the DOB and ConEdison. Nationwide Plumbers are in good standing with ConEdison and it helps a lot! Everything was done right the first time. Today ConEdison turned gas back on and installed new meters. I am in a celebratory mood and I can’t be more grateful to the Nationwide Plumbers. They are master plumbers indeed! I have full confidence in their integrity and ability to resolve complex problems. Today I signed maintenance agreement with them, it will give me peace of mind after everything I’ve been through. Also, I am very pleased with myself: I made the right choice!

I desperately needed a leak from my kitchen faucet fixed. Not only were they available same day but they show up in the time frame told to me and were courteous, quick, and efficient. They also check to make sure that there weren’t any other issues with the faucet besides the one I had told them about at the start. It was a great experience. Thank you!

They’re great. They follow up even after the visit to make sure things are still going well. They get the job done for a reasonable rate. I use them every time I need any plumbing done

I made a quick call to describe the problem an appointment was scheduled very quickly. The crew advised they were on the way and arrived early .. ready to start on time. The team were polite, efficient and quickly identified the issue.
In NYC it’s hard to find a reliable service. Would definitely recommend. -
The guys came in assed the job and just got it done. Not easy I assure you….but they got it done. Worth every dime!!

Despite a valiant effort by Nationwide, the clog wasn't able to be cleared on the first day. The crew was professional and really tried their best. They did give me a detailed satisfactory explanation as to why they couldn't. I will definitely be calling them back to complete the job. Still highly recommended.

The team at Nationwide Plumbers were amazing! Krista and the office staff were a great balance of professional and down to earth, just overall very good people in a company with a good culture. Pricing was great, communication was clear, always available for questions, providing me with all the necessary insurance paperwork for my building, and was patient with me every step of the way. They were really a pleasure to work with.
The plumbers were knowledgeable and upfront when they came on site, and their work was thorough and excellent, provided me with all the right information so I can make the best decisions to button everything up so I can reduce the cost of re-work in the future. Very reasonably priced add-ons. Highly recommend! They will be the first plumbers I call moving forward. -
