Our kitchen plumbing was seriously clogged! Within an hour, Dov Plumbing had sent out a technician to evaluate the situation and offer a price. Since their prices were reasonable, we gave our technician immediate permission to start the work.
They were clean professional, and did the job. They also fixed our boiler leak.

On top of that, they saved me from an unnecessary $800 job—another plumber was ready to tear my walls down to find a “leak,” but they quickly identified the real issue: a faulty valve spraying water, making it seem like there was a leak. I had a great experience using DOV PLUMBING services when my hot water heater sprang a leak and I was panicking. Reached out to DOV PLUMBING . They walked me through shutting off the water to the hot water heater and had a new unit replaced for me within one day, great service, and great communication throughout the entire process.

PS they also removed all the standing water that leaked all over my basement floor and dried the place up before they left.

Dov is very responsive, professional, and I would highly recommend using them. Johan who came for the initial diagnosis/inspection was thorough and spent a couple hours to check everything to identify the issue causing a leak.

My issue was unique where the source of the leak was not easily found, and Dov the owner responded to all my messages over multiple days & I had multiple calls with him as he helped me through the process (without asking for any additional pay).

True professionals and feel like they are actually here to help like a friend would, not a contractor trying to extract as much money from you as possible.

TLDR: They quoted me over $1200 for a "necessary" full faucet replacement, which they said was the only option. I fixed the problem myself with a $30 sprayer from Home Depot and 15 minutes of my time.

I am writing this review to warn others. My experience with Dov Sewer and Drain was beyond disappointing; it felt like a calculated attempt to scam me out of a significant amount of money.

The issue was simple: a leak in the sprayer hose of my kitchen sink faucet. I paid a $200 deposit for a home visit, with the understanding that if the job cost less, I would be refunded the difference. A technician arrived, spent less than five minutes looking at the sink to confirm it was, in fact, broken, and then went outside to call his office.

A few minutes later, the office called me—not the technician standing outside my door—to tell me that repairing the hose was "impossible." They insisted the only solution was to rip out and replace the entire faucet fixture. They presented me with two options: one for around $1100 and another for $1300. When I asked if they could just replace the hose or patch the leak, they were adamant that a full, costly replacement was the only way. For the privilege of receiving this wildly inaccurate information, they kept my entire $200 deposit.

Feeling that something was off, I decided to look into it myself. After a five-minute YouTube video, I walked to Home Depot, bought a $30 replacement sprayer kit, and fixed it myself with a basic wrench I already owned. The "impossible" job was a simple, standard repair that took me less than half an hour.

This experience raises serious questions. Why was the technician unable to provide a diagnosis or quote without calling the office? Was he even a qualified plumber? Why was I charged $200 for a five-minute visit that resulted in a quote for a completely unnecessary, outrageously expensive job?

This business model seems to be based on pressuring customers into wildly expensive procedures for simple fixes. The advice they gave was not just wrong, it was deceptive. Save your money and your time, and find an honest plumber. I would give zero stars if I could.
