I love to support small business in my community but this business has practices that I can no longer support.

In July, I purchased the same MinWax Polyurethane Spray Can for one of my many craft summer projects from Charlie and John Hardware. I was told and charged $10 for the item. I both the Clear Satin MinWax during my first visit and then a clear gloss MinMax both for $10 later in the month.

A few weeks ago in August 2020, I went to Charlie and John Hardware store to purchase MinWax Clear Gloss Spray Can Polyurethane and Gold Color Spray Paint and support this local business. Based on my previous experiences I thought the cost would be $10 for the polyurethane spray can. Instead, I was told that it was $16. I expressed to him (identified himself as Carlie's son during a previous purchase) that he is incorrect as I paid $10 previously on two different occasions. One of which was with him. He continued to say that I was incorrect.

In order to avoid conflict, I told him I would no longer be supporting this business if the pricing can not be uniformed and continues to instead differ when ever you go to the store. I also did not think it was appropriate for a business to deny the past experience of a customer.

I hope this review helps the business change practices and also cautions prospective customers.

Note: Not sure why the name is different on google but this is indeed the correct business where I experienced unfair business practices but it does not surprise me that they would do something like this based on my experience.

I came in looking for bedroom paint and I was not disappointed with how many options they had and great prices it was hard to leave the store empty handed, and I will also say the customer service is unmatched. I will definitely be a continuous shopper with Charlie J !

I called the guy he told he is coming to open the stor in 5 min never came to open the store I was waiting for 20 min and left

Arrived to this place after visiting several other plumbing suppliers and my issue was solved. John was very helpful and knowledgeable. The store was busy and he handled everyone respectfully and with care.

Came here early Sunday morning for materials. Not many places open on Sundays so this was a hit!! John was patient and accommodating as I called my contractor several times to double check. This patience and understanding is rare in hardware stores. I'm so pleased that I came across this place.

I have heard excellent things about their work, however the person I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude, dismissive and talked over me throughout the conversation. The job I was asking them to do was too small which is understandable. I was surprised at the tone of the conversation.

****After I left my review the owner responded with a response that implied I was asking them to do something that was ethically dubious. All I asked them to do was hook up a claw foot tub. He told me that he would do the whole bathroom but that hooking up a tub was not a big enough job. I have included a photo of the tub that I just had installed. In addition I am downgrading my review from a three star review to a one star review.

I had a steam leak in my apartment and scheduled an appointment.
Parkset plumbing responded quickly and did a fantastic job in mitigating the problem.

Installed a new boiler. Excellent service. Their team came multiple times to troubleshoot our existing boiler and then to flush and optimize our new boiler all at no extra cost.

Work will be completed on time and will be done RIGHT! The owner Tom got someone to my house right away and my problem fixed. I highly recommend and will be using Parkset in the future for any of my plumbing needs.

I almost gave up searching for a plumbing company to come in and install my tank-less combi boiler. But after speaking with Tom on the first call I knew I wanted ParkSet to the job and no one else. Got to the root of the problem and fixed what needed to be fixed.
Repairman kept me updated on the repairs & parts that needed to be replaced.
He was very knowledgeable & respectful.
