We live in an older Buffalo home that has occasional issues with plumbing. We always call Hertel Plumbing and they always solve the problem. The employees are outstanding and the "plumbers" are very polite and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for any plumbing issue!

I love these plumbers! They've always shown up when I had an appointment, they work quickly and efficiently, they've always communicated what has happened, what they've tried to troubleshoot, and what they're going to try next. (It should be disclosed my only experience with their work is through their plumbers)

I own rental properties in 100 year old houses, so while I try to maintain the pipes and take preventable measures, as one can expect, when something goes wrong, it's a beast. Hertel Hardware & Plumbing had to cut into the drywall of two bathrooms (in different properties) in order to reach the pipes, but they let me know what they were going to do and why they needed to do it, and both times the cuts have been manageable sizes to cover back up with an easily removable cover, in case those pipes need to be accessed again. Which of course those pipes will be needed to accessed again. Who dry walls over shower/tub pipes without an access point?!

Only on this last visit could the plumber not complete a particular job in one go, but he worked as far and as long as he could, and kept me updated every 20 or so minutes on how the progress was going (I wanted him to), and then let me know what needed to happen (such as finding the outside opening to the sewer trap that's buried under 2 feet of snow) in order for a plumber to come back to finish the job quickly. They've been so great to work with previously that I have no problem with this requirement. Besides, I had a better idea of where that access point was than he did, so it made sense he didn't waste time digging around for it.

The price has certainly been reasonable too. Also, their plumbers have Square installed on their smartphones, so I can easily pay right then and there for the service and immediately have a receipt sent to my email for filing. For the work Hertel Hardware & Plumbing do and the price they charge, I'm happy to return to them as well as recommend them to everyone I know. I'm happy to support a local business that works as well as they do!

We have used Hertel Hardware on 3 separate occasions ( an estimate for work, emergency shower faucet repair and furnace and central air installation). Tony makes you feel like family. His team is highly professional- always courteous, prompt, communicative about the process, and meticulous. They have been beyond fair in pricing of services and also in addressing our needs expediently. I am so happy with their work and will continue to use them.

Great place! Both of our toilets were not working and our kitchen sink was leaking. They explained everything they did. Fixed it within an hour. GREAT price.

My husband went into the shop to buy a new part for our dishwasher. It was cash only and he only had a card. The part was $2.50. The guy said take it and come back and pay me Monday (we of course did). Excellent customer service.

We haven't had much need for a plumber before but definitely will use again and recommend to anyone who needs one!

Used Hertel Hardware and Plumbing many times. They put it a water pump backup for my sump and most recently fixed and replaced the valve that was leaking on the hot water tank. The service is always 5 stars. The plumbers are always professional. They even took off their boots before entering the house. The most recent visit the plumber talked me through every step of the process. I couldn't be more impressed and will continue to use Hertel for my plumbing needs.

I was very impressed by his knowledge and his presentation of the products offered. Furthermore, he took the time to go and look at my current layout, both inside and outside the house and evaluated the square footage for the proper system. He answered all of my questions and did not rush his presentation.

The main difference I noticed from the other companies that I had estimates from was the fact that John offered me a variety of options and explained current rebates and tax incentives by product.

The call team at the office was also great in setting up the appointment and making the customer feel welcomed.

Yeah you can't go wrong when you are exploring options you call Hertel Hardware and get their opinion on your job.

We called at the end of the day with a plumbing emergency. They had two employees to our home within the hour. They were very knowledgeable, repaired the issue, cleaned up everything and were gone within an hour. Very thankful for their professional service!

Thank you, Hertel Hardware and THANK YOU to your service man, Victor, for a quick simple fix of my AC on the first hot days of summer. As I embarrassingly overlooked checking the batteries in my thermostat, Victor displayed the HONEST integrity of your company and never once tried to make this into a bigger issue to charge me for services not needed. As I apologized for my ignorance, Victor never once laughed or joked at my mistake (I did enough of that).
Just one more reason to “shop local” and never underestimate family owned businesses.

Had Hertel Hardware and Plumbing come out to look at my girlfriends AC system. Her air conditioner stopped working, during the hottest few days that we've had so far this year.. Been using Hertel Hardware and Plumbing for over 30 years. Their quick response time, the quality of their work is unmatched.. Family owned businesses are the only way to go.. Reputation is what family business relies on, and it shows in the work ethic, and the professional people they hire.. Her AC unit was a simple fix, Victor, their service tech performed a couple of tests, and within minutes figured out that the batteries in the thermostat needed to be changed. Just like that it was running.. Think of what one of the big companies would of done in that situation??? They would of tried to upsell her. Hertel Hardware and Plumbing, Victor, Thank You

In calculating the necessary BTUs required for an AC unit of my living room, I tried to explain that I have a foyer entrance to my living room and Angie would not listen to me. She told me that the foyer doesn't count as part of my living room. I tried to explain that it's not really my foyer because it isn't closed off of my living room. She kept cutting me off and I offered to send her pictures but she did not want me to. I feel that she was treating me disrespectfully because the heap program is supplying the AC unit and I am not considered a real customer to her.

I can’t thank this company enough for what fantastic work they provided even with a minute challenge they faced. The clean up was great. I couldn’t believe the amount of effort they put forth.

Everything was taken care of expertly. The action necessary to repair our boiler was explained to me. Was told if I had any problems to contact the service man directly. I highly recommend this company.

We had a tech come in to help with a routine cleaning. The tech was professional courteous and a pleasure to talk to. He and my husband hit it off. We are looking to them for possibly having an AC unit installed.. We totally recommend them.

Circulator was broken for our boiler. I called at 8:20 and John was at my house before 9. He diagnosed the issue and fixed it. Extremely happy with the quick response and the work done to restore heat to our house.

Kevin from the Service Dept was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. The issue ended up not being an actual plumbing issue. (No repair or replacement of water lines or PVC lines). He acknowledged that no work was needed and ways to stop the multi floor water penetration, which was from resident error (overflowing the toilet etc.). I thought he easily could have said he’d replace everything and rack up a bill, but instead decided to be honest and offered his opinion on helping fix the real problem. Highly recommend PCS, I’ve used them in other projects as well.

We hired PCS to install a tank less hot water tank and a bathroom faucet. They also did an air conditioner and heating system check up. We found Chris and Charlie easy to work with, knowledgeable, friendly and respectful workers. Made us feel confident about making the correct choice in hiring PCS. We had a problem with the faucet we had installed and Charlie told us where to go to get the part that would fix the problem. We did what he said and installed the part ourselves...making it an easy fix. The result was perfect. We would hire them again and recommend at least letting them give you an estimate. We felt pricing was fair, and are very happy with the results.

James Hodge from PCS Plumbing & Heating came out to my house this evening for backed up washtubs in the basement. I called & James was at my house within 40 minutes. He ran a snake from the outside main drain. He did that a few times adding more footage to the snake. He went in the basement & plunged in the basin & the water drained. Thank you so much. Highly professional, will level with you like human. Did fantastic work on my new gas lines for a good price and are true to their word. Will be going back to them for my plumbing needs and recommending them to my friends
