I had an amazing experience using Marc’s Tree Service and I would highly recommend.

I had an issue with a tree come up out of nowhere, where the possibility of part of the tree falling on our neighbors house, looked imminent. I called Marc’s team and he was able to get to my house very fast to assess the situation. Along with Ben one of his best guys he was able to get the half of the tree that was a hazard on the ground safely within the hour.

The next day, Ben was able to come out to the house and remove the other half of the tree and clean up all debris from both my yard and my neighbors, very efficiently. I requested to have them leave the larger wood so I can make it into firewood and Ben was so awesome, He cut and organized the pieces for me to take care of it at a later date. Marc had his team to come out a few days later to grind down the stump (not pictured) and and it’s looks now like a well mulched area.

What started out as a very stressful situation ended with a huge sigh of relief and an overwhelming level of efficiency and professionalism. Again highly recommend Marc and his team and an extra thank you to Ben for his amazing work.

Would highly recommend Marc's Tree Service. Marc is a no-BS, straight shooter, provided a quote back in January and re-confirmed in late March with no change to price. I spent months requesting quotes from 15 different companies in the Charlotte region. Marc's price was much more competitive than many other tree services in the Charlotte area. This tree in particular was a ~120 foot tulip poplar, rotting at the base, and posed a potential danger to my home as well as my neighbor's. It was located in a difficult position in my backyard - some other tree services actually no-quoted the job due to the difficulty and size. Marc contracted out a 60-ton crane and had his guys here in early April to knock it out in a matter of hours. The crane owner/operator (Luis Big Crane Service) was top notch, flying the branches over my house and down into my driveway, weaving in between various other trees in my front yard. They made the work look easy and were very considerate of neighbors and even one animal which managed to ride a large branch down to the ground. All of his employees were friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. I cannot say enough good things about Marc and his crew, and no longer have to stress about the possibility of this tree coming down and posing a threat to life or property. Thank you Marc!

Today Marc sent a crew of 5 to my home. This is the third time that I have called Marc to get my trees looking beautiful once again. The first 5 pictures are after the pruning and clean up finished. The other pictures were this morning before they started. They always arrive on time .. check in to see what specific things you want accomplished and they are off and working hard. They do a fantastic job and really care for your trees. I would trust no one else. So very pleased. If you want the best care for your trees .. call Marc’s Tree Service!

Marc and his crew have definitely earned their 5 star rating! They communicated wonderfully, arrived at my house when they said they would and did an excellent job taking down a large tree that was perilously close to my house. And they did it all for a very reasonable price and didn't go a penny over their quote. His guys even mounted some bird houses on top of the stump at my wife's request! No need to look around, Marc is the man!

Marc was fantastic! Fast, friendly and super helpful. I had two downed trees in my yard, that I needed removed quickly. Marc met me on short notice - at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon and completed the job by 3:00. Amazing - I definitely recommend Marc's Tree Service. Their customer service and quality work will not disappoint!

We really appreciate the help removing a tree that was risking to fall in our house. We received a great customer service from Alex, Marc, Tod, Sergio and all the team.
On Friday they arrived punctually at 7:30am here and all team members of the crew were very friendly and and they were using safety equipment such as helmets, glasses and gloves and the radio communication hearing protection.
We had a bee hive and they worked together with a beekeeper and they did a great job.

Very professional, put mats down to protect the grass from the bucket truck and cleaned up nicely after. Fair price compared to other bids.

A great professional service, very knowledgeable, gave us really advice about what to do and what not to do. Overall outstanding service and work.

Called them couple times in the morning and no person picked call, left voice mail. Finally after 5pm they called back, after asking"Did I get a call from this number?" then hang up before any more conversation.

They took down a huge oak tree in the center of my deck and another tree company try to charge me 7000 and the owner Danny gave me a great price. The clean up was beyond my expectations. Definitely going to use them in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Proceed with caution if dealing with these folks. I used them to trim some trees in my yard. 1st concern- After the job was started they began begging for cash partial payments along the way before the job was finished. (The agreement was to pay them by check at job completion) 2nd concern- They took what they committed was to be a one day job and stretched it over three days 3rd concern- They did not complete the job as promised. They left an entire pickup load of limbs in the yard.

After several requests of asking them to finish the job I gave up. I paid them 1,200 cash, my mistake, before the job was finished because the workers hounded me and promised they would be back the next day to finish. They asked me to store their tools for them overnight and committed to coming back the next morning to clean the last load of limbs and pick up their equipment. They came back the next day, took their equipment, and left. They never returned to finish the work after multiple requests. The city picked up the last load of brush for us days later.

My advice would be to find a more honest company. These folks were not trustworthy in my opinion.

This company was hired by my friends/neighbors after making almost instant contact via Angie’s List. After 2 days of watching them work, I spoke with owner Danny about some trees in my yard. He quoted me a price for cutting down and removing debris, assured me they’d be here on the date specified (and they were), and I agreed on the spot. Danny’s communication with staff and clients is immediate, he has a willing-to-please disposition, and the staff are incredibly polite. But most of all, they leave the property so clean it is as no work ever took place. SPOTLESS! Please be sure to give them an opportunity to earn your business as they’ve earned mine. Also, LICENSED AND INSURED which is very important to me!

Great job handling my tree service. Danny was super friendly and eager to get the work done. I was quoted a great price and they started work the same day. They also took the time out to walk me through the process. I would highly recommend them.

Danny and his team took down several HUGE trees in front of my rental property - they were safe, polite, and easy to work with. They answered all my questions and got the job done fast and at a very good price! They removed my tree stumps by grinding them to below the grass level which made the yard look sooo beautiful. The cleanup job was impeccable.

These guys are the real deal. Danny showed up the same day I called for an estimate and gave me fair prices on two enormous 100 ft tall pine trees in a congested neighborhood. The following day, the team showed up and got to work. They were all very polite, hardworking, and knowledgeable about every tree in my yard and made good suggestions about how to make the yard look nicer/when to cut down certain trees, etc. The climber was incredibly professional, safe, and skilled at making sure nothing in my yard/walkway was damaged by the limbs as they came down. This is no easy feat in Myers Park.

They stuck to the original quote and even did a few things in my backyard free of charge. After the trees were down, they cleared, cleaned, and raked the entire yard and made it look better than before they came. I look forward to calling them again when we are ready to take down the rest of the pines in our yard. Curb appeal is 100x better than it was one week ago. Will be calling them in the future.

I'm writing this review about 5 months after service because I simply cannot keep the frustration to myself anymore.

I live in heavily wooded area and have used Queen City Tree Service twice (the first time was about a year and a half ago). The first time, I had a great experience. They took down about 4 trees and trimmed/shaped a large tree in my front yard. Great experience, no complaints.

The second time, 5 months ago, is one of the worst experiences of ANY contractor I've had doing any kind of work. I live in a house built in 1984, so I've had a lot of work done so believe me when I say this was bad.

I needed a very large acorn tree taken down with roots that extended 30 feet in every direction resulting in grass being unable to grow. I also needed a Leland tree removed that tipped over due to a storm. And again, I needed a large tree trimmed in my front yard. I contacted them again because of the great first experience. They quoted me the job and included the tree trimming within the bill, so I expected that to be one of the priorities. They showed up and started the job and the first annoyance was there was one limb (about 20 feet in the air) that I asked if they could cut down. They laughed at me and said , "That'll be $100." I was shocked and said," Are you serious? " He laughed again and said, "Okay, $50." While I understand you can't just request free work, I was so offended by the flippant greed that I was met with over one request.

They finished the job without having grinded the stump or chasing the roots yet and left an UNBELIEVABLE mess. I tried to be patient knowing they would be back but then asked, "What about the front tree trimming?" It was an absolute hassle to get them to address that tree that I PAID FOR and they finally did it..... the maybe took down a total of 3 limbs. The first time was beautifully done. The second time was a blatant insult.

They came back a few days later to grind the stump and obliterated my yard, flung wood chips 150 ft in every direction and left wood dust that covered my whole house. To this day, I am still trying to clean the mess and repair my yard. I had sod professionally laid with very expensive fertilizer and feed. It will not take because they did not grind all of the roots correctly.

In sum, I would have just left the tree if I'd known this would be the result. I've probably lost 15 pounds from how much work it's been cleaning up the wood chips. I will never contact this service again.

I only write reviews when my service was excellent and my experience deserved one. I don’t bother writing poor reviews.
They made a no cost visit and answered all my questions. The answers were simple and professional so I clearly understood what was going to happen and why.
They showed up exactly when expected and clearly explained what was going to happen and they got to work.
I stood in the yard and watched as they brought in first class equipment with a four person team that had obviously worked together quite a while. They worked like a machine with each, knowing exactly what they were doing to make the job go quickly and safely. They were also very friendly.. They obviously have had much experience at their job.
They never let any of the limbs even put a dent in my grass as they completely controlled it from the tree to their disposals. The site was cleaned up as they went.
At the end, they asked me if I had any questions, and left my yard almost like they had not been there except for my nasty tree removed.
I will definitely call them if I need any work in the future.

Queen City guys did a great job with removing a tree in my front yard. They were prompt, courteous, professional, and careful to protect the house and nearby objects in the yard. Having them reschedule the job was a bit frustrating but I’m very pleased with the outcome.
