Alex from ACME was punctual and professional. He was clear in his description of what was going on with our heater and showed that he had in depth knowledge of hearing and plumbing systems. He was reasonable with the fee. I would not hesitate to use ACME as we go forward with our renovations.

So happy that I found Acme Plumbing. They’re friendly, responsive, eager to help, and most importantly, they know what they’re doing. I received excellent service at a fair price from Norval Cunningham and his assistant. And, Christina did her utmost to work me into their schedule on an emergency basis. From now on, it will always be Acme that I call!

I am extremely disappointed with Acme Plumbing this time. After having used their services last year for jetting which we paid $500 for this service, I called them to request jetting again for my sewer and spoke with Norman who let me know that the price for jetting had now increased to $650 - which we were willing to pay. I explained this was an urgent situation and I needed someone to come as soon as possible given the fact we were having guests coming the next day. When the Acme technicians arrived the next day, I was told that the cost of the service would be $1,200 - almost double the amount I was told on the phone. The technicians who arrived made multiple assumptions, such as asking to speak to the owner of the house (they sat outside waiting because they thought I was the tenant initially - without asking) and also asked to speak to "my husband" / make sure to relay this information to my husband, making me feel like I was being talked down at and not taken seriously as a woman and the homeowner who bought my house myself. I called the office to speak with Norman to express my disappointment with the quote - if I had known the full cost, I would have made aneffort to get other quotes in advance, aware there is nothing I nor he can do at this point since I need the service completed now. However, I was most shocked after Norman called me back to let me know that the technicians were going to leave because "this relationship was not working" and I had previously "hung up the phone," assuming I would want to cancel because it never works out with "people like me." This was absolutely absurd since the technicians were already here, starting the job, and I had explained this was an emergency that needed to be done immediately. I never explicitly requested for their service to be cancelled and I was calling to express how I felt (rather than writing a review). The purpose of this is to share that if you call their office in the middle of a repair and express your disappointment, they will pull out their services without asking because they assume that's what you want. A lot of assumptions made. I felt utterly disrespected and frustrated with this experience and their office, and will not be using Acme Plumbing again.

I sent an inquiry on Easter weekend and didn't expect anything til after the holiday. But Anthony, a nice and helpful plumbing manager at Acme Durham called during the holiday weekend to see what I needed and to schedule an appointment for an estimate.
I needed an old faucet and bathtub spout repaired or replaced. Zach, a really personable plumber, came in, introduced himself and got to work quickly with no messing around. He was done with the less expensive option in just over an hour.
Acme is a very responsive company and everyone I dealt with was courteous and kind. As good an experience as one could expect when dealing with an unexpected plumbing problem.

Our very old disposal started leaking. I scheduled an appointment with Acme Plumbing and they were very responsive. Efrem arrived and diagnosed the issue and helped me decide on a replacement. He had the new disposal installed and functional in under two hours. He was very professional and did quality work. I will use Acme for all my plumbing needs.

We are return customers because we had a positive experience previously. We own a 1960s home with cast iron pipe on a concrete slab and this company is very knowledgeable. They make sure the job is done correctly and don’t take any short cuts. The owner Norman has worked with us and was very understanding. We were very happy especially with the plumbing supervisor Michael. He told us he has 40 plus years of experience and boy does it show! Michael and Efran really got us out of a jam. We had a bad situation here with 2 toddlers at home and a bad leak of a kitchen pipe and it turns out we had a clog as well. With their expertise and hard work by the end of the day I had running water and access to my kitchen again. I would highly recommend this plumbing company! Companies that really care about their customers first and also value doing the job honestly and correctly are hard to come by! Thank you Michael, Norman and ACME for another job well done! You have made life long customers and we have referred many to you and will continue to do so!

Very pleased with my experience. My plumber, Norval, was polite, timely, knowledgeable, and, perhaps most importantly, persistent. He was able to repair my old bathroom sinks even when it looked hopeless. He replaced the dysfunctional/worn out cartridges and saved me many hundreds of dollars as I did not need to replace the whole faucet. Pricing was up front and transparent. Other work done the same day was completed perfectly and neatly.

The staff were super nice, thorough, informative, and gave me good options. Their flat rates were quite a bit higher than other provider's hourly rates for smaller jobs which was the only downside. I would definitely reach out to them again for larger jobs that would be expensive, regardless.

I used Acme for the first time today on a friend’s recommendation and had an excellent interaction. Jey and Will were actually early, and very professional. They discussed the plumbing issues I had and explained what needed to be done. They offered multiple options to accommodate my budget. I ended up doing all of the things they recommended and they were able to get it all completed fairly quickly in one day. To me it was a very fair value and I’m happy with their work. I will use Acme again for sure if I have any other plumbing needs.

Jey was very prompt and very professional. He quickly figured out the problem and fixed it with very short notice. The repair cost was also quite reasonable. We appreciate ACME being so fast and readily available. Other plumbers told us they'd have to call us back to see if they'd fit us in, or we were told we'd have to wait out the weekend with a leaking pipe. Thank you Jey and ACME!

Norval and Junior replaced two toilets at my house today. They were punctual, respectful, honest and quick. Pleased with my experience and will return to Acme for future needs.

Fantastic people all around. The repairs were done professionally and the technicians were absolutely first rate. Office personnel are equally excellent. They arrived on time and left my home in great condition. If you are looking for quality service from trusted professionals, look no further. On August 16, 2022 your 2 technicians replaced our old cast iron drain pipe in crawl space, as well as re-piped old type drainage out of our washer, to be more up to standard. The young men worked diligently, did their job fast, and cleaned everything afterwards. It was very obvious that they were very knowledgeable. They were also very polite and pleasant to talk to. They patiently explained the job to us, and clarified questions we had about the estimate. I suggest that for the sake of customers, the ACME company needs to modify their "job tasks" descriptions in estimate documents, to be less a professional jargon and more plain language. Regardless, we are satisfied customers! We recommend ACME Pluming to anyone. Contacts with customer service by phone was easy; I appreciated they took the time to talk to me at length. They also always let me know about the technicians coming 15 minutes prior their arrival.

The guys were clear about what our issues with some leaking were, and transparent about the cost before we agreed to some of the work. They were patient and respectful. ACME was a friend's recommendation and we approve of the work today.

Acme did an amazing job for our bar in downtown Durham. They were transparent, fast, and affordable. They installed a sink, water heater, drain, and hooked up our ice machine in no time. They have also been very patient and understanding on our financial issues and have been really down-to-earth people. Would highly recommend them for any project, big or small.

My experience with this company until now was at least a 4 star and I've been dealing with them for years. However today I had to cut ties with them due to the most rude and obnoxious service manager named Anthony. Extremely surprised that a company of ACME's status would allow him to lead their team. Will not do business there again until his departure and I've used them for over ten years. Such a shame what one bad apple can create in a business partnership.

Called short notice and was able to get me in today super fast. Great customer service and Alex was the tech to come out and he was awesome and able to fix our heater and spot future problems. Our go to from here on out. Selected them based on reviews and from other friends.

I was very happy with the service. They were able to schedule an appointment quickly, the guys were on time and very nice and professional. Got my new dishwasher up and running and fixed a couple of other issues under the kitchen sink. I will certainly use them again!
